Has anyone else noticed a dramatic drop in Facebook post impressions?

One of the clients I manage has over 5,000 Facebook fans. Whenever I'd make a post, it usually would get ~700-1,000 impressions.
About two weeks ago I did my first promoted post. Ever since then, all the regular posts I've done have only gotten ~100 impressions . . . out of 5,325!
I'm wondering if Facebook, once learning that you are willing to pay for promoted posts, secretly lowers your impression count so that you will pay for promoted posts more often, or if the timing of my promoted post was just a coincidence, and everyone started to see a decrease about two weeks ago.
Does anyone know what's going on?

I have heard others complain of drops after starting ads to promote posts but i have never seen any data to support it.

Facebook Business Page Optimization: Awards Section
Hi everyone! I am looking to add my clients awards to the Facebook business page to add a little "pow" and give myself a "look what I did" talking point at my next meeting with them. I was comparing their page to the competition, and I noticed the competition has a lovely Awards section under their About. Do you know how/where this is hiding? My clients business page is rather new (a little over a year old), so I'm leaning towards this was an old feature that Facebook has not hidden from older pages. Promoting our blog posts. Effective ways and planning.
Hi Guys. I work for TOAD diaries, we make personalised journals and diaries. So we've taken a dive into blogging recently to help with brand awareness/ loyalty and increase traffic to our site. We don't have much of a social media following. So I'd like to know about other effective ways to promote them. The advice seems to range from extremely obvious and generic on the one hand i.e) post it to your Facebook, twitter etc, to seriously in depth, using a multitude of tools I've never heard of. I mean it's pretty overwhelming 😕 So I'd like to focus down on 5 or 10 ways I can 'get it out there' effectively. Any thoughts? What are the essential tools/ techniques/ jobs I should be doing? Etc etc. Note on our blogs: They are very different from one another, so far we've done how to make an origami boat and paper vs digital: part 1. We're also working on a time management piece at the moment. So they're all to do with paper, stationery, organisation, planning ect. But like I say each blog post is quite varied. Thus the target market varies too. Also, do let me know what you think to the blog posts 🙂 Any area's we can improve upon? Cheers guys. Isaac.

Blog posts to G+ and FB?
Hi, I was wondering if we should be taking our blog posts and also putting them on social sites as well such as G+ and FB? If so, does content need to change to avoid a duplicate issue and if so is there a "rule" of sorts in terms of how much to change the content up? I was just wondering since we are already taking the time to put together these "stories" on our blog if our other channels would benefit as well?

Has anyone used facebook to promote their website
Hi i have seen lots of facebook pages that are being used to promote a company and would like to know if anyone is using facebook or any other social network such as myspace to promote their website without having to pay a fee. I would love to see some examples and learn how to set up a facebook page that is there to promote a website. What i would like to do is to have one that promotes my travel website where i can post travel stories on facebook and promote my website and also drive traffic to my website from facebook. any help would be great

How to get Facebook likes?
Hello, Complete newbie here so please be kind, We are a brand new business based in the UK selling natural/organic hair and skin care products, we have been going about 5 weeks, we are really struggling to get people to like our facebook page! we simply dont know where or how to get people to like it! I mean the right kind of people, i am sure we could buy likes or send people to it that are not really into natural beauty products! so the question is, how do we get our likes up for relevant traffic? How do I control the thumbnail image for a link on a Facebook post?
Hi, All! I've spent about an hour working on this with no success, so I thought I would ask the community: How do you tell Facebook which image to put in for the thumbnail on a link you're posting? And I would like it to be a different image for each post, and I don't want to have to deal with programming PHP (the main solutions I saw). I'm on a Wordpress based site, and I've tried putting images in as the featured image, made sure they weren't huge (under 200x200), made sure they were .jpeg... and the only thing that Facebook offers me as a thumbnail is a generic "green globe" image that I don't believe comes from my site at all. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
