How to rebound from a network wheel?
-
I own over 40 real estate websites that linked to each other for certain keywords. This worked for a long time and now has not. All had unique content, but pretty much used the same template for design. I do have some very good content on each website.
How should I go about getting un penalized? Will killing all the text links to all the sites help? Looking for solid advice here and thank you for your time.

Under Manual Actions "No manual webspam actions found."
So what do I do next?
All of my websites do link to each other.
They are on the same IP address. (I told webhost to spread across 5 IP's and they didn't)
Each website is templated based.=[

Have you checked out http://moz.com/blog/ultimate-guide-to-google-penalty-removal? It might have some useful ideas. Matt Cutts even gave it a tweet of approval.

Takeshi, thank you for your reply. I tried to respond earlier, but MOZ was logging me out when I tried to respond.
That's a very good question. I started losing rank during penguin 1 and penguin 2. I use 3 different keywords for each website moving it up. 60/20/20 with 60 % being the main keyword using the same anchor text. Any other suggestions you can give would be fantastic.

How do you know that you've been "penalized"? If it's Penguin penalty, avoid using exact keyword match anchors when linking between your domains. And diversify your link profile by building more external links.

SEO for video content that is duplicated accross a larger network
I have a website with lots of content (high quality video clips for a particular niche). All the content gets fed out 100+ other sites on various domains/subdomains which are reskinned for a given city. So the content on these other sites is 100% duplicate. I still want to generate SEO traffic though. So my thought is that we: a) need to have canonical tags from all the other domains/subdomains that point back to the original post on the main site b) probably need to disallow search engine crawlers on all the other domains/subdomains Is this on the right track? Missing anything important related to duplicate content? The idea is that after we get search engines crawling the content correctly, from there we'd use the IP address to redirect the visitor to the best suited domain/subdomain. any thoughts on that approach? Thanks for your help!

Can anyone explain what the blog network penalties news is about please?
I have seen the latest news about Google penalizing blog networks and as a newbie starting out am wondering if my multi-site plans would constitute as a blog network. My question is, is having a couple of external blogs on keyword rich domains pointing back at my primary domain name considered to be a blog network of the kind that Google is penalizing?

Multiple city network
Im currently setting up a large network and my original thought was to target keywords via the city and then setting up a website with the domain name being that keyword. Now im thinking that in the long run thats going to be a massive pain in my ass. Im thinking what i should do is something along these lines... "www.companyname.com/cityorkeywordhere" any thoughts? Thanks for the help

How to best utilize network of 50 sites to increase traffic on main site
Hey All, First off I wanna thank everyone who has responded to all my previous questions! Love to see a community that is so willing to help those who are learning the ropes! Anyways back to my point. We have a main site that is a PR 3 and our main focal point for lead generation. We recently acquired 50 additional sites (all with a PR of 1-3) that we would like to use as our own little back linking campaign with. All the domains are completely relevant to our main site as well as specific pages within our main site. I know that reciprocal links will get me no where and that google is quickly on to the attempted 3 way link exchange. My question is how do I best link these 50 sites to not only maintain there own integrity and PR but also assist our main site. Thanks All!
