    Hi everyone,
I am running a PPC (Google Adwords Campaign) and it is pretty big. I have about 25 landing pages each with a Contact Form. I need the contact form to go to a unique thank you page for each landing page to measure conversions via Google Adwords. In other words I need the contact form on submission to redirect to a specific and unique thank you page that I can define. The contact form needs to be the same for all landing pages to avoid having to produce 25 landing pages. I am ok with producing 25

    Example
    http://www.maindomain.com/landing-page-1 redirects tohttp://www.maindomain.com/thank-you-1

    http://www.maindomain.com/landing-page-2 redirects tohttp://www.maindomain.com/thank-you-2

    http://www.maindomain.com/landing-page-3 redirects tohttp://www.maindomain.com/thank-you-3

Can someone help me with this?
    Thanks

      Hi Ray,

Sorry to bug you again. I installed the conversion code on the one unique thank you page and the campaign is not picking it up. I used the Google Tag manager to verify it and it is set ok. Not perfect but ok.

Any ideas on what I could be doing wrong? I followed the steps found here perfectly..https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722054?hl=en

      Thanks

      Carla

You're correct, make sure your Google Analytics and Adwords accounts are connected properly. Then you'll be able to dissect the analytics by Ad content, keywords, campaigns, ad groups, landing pages, ect.

Make sure your tracking code and conversion pixel are all setup properly.

Thanks Ray for getting back to me so quickly. Yes all ads are under one account.

I get what you are saying now. Google Adwords automatically associates Keyword used ==> landing page ==> conversion page.

Please let me know if this is correct. I just installed the tracking code on the single thank you page.

          Thanks Again

You should only need to install 1 tracking code to track all of your conversions through Google Adwords. The campaigns are all under a single account, correct? If so, ensure that your conversion pixel is installed properly and you'll be good for any campaigns running in your Adwords account.

I definitely recommend setting up some expected funnels that your visitors would go through. It'll help a lot with identifying where a visitor abandons the process and what you need to improve upon for the most effective campaign.

              Hi Ray,

Thanks for letting me know about 1 unique thank you page. Do you recommend I install all 25 conversion tracking codes on the 1 thank you page to measure PPC conversions and for SEO conversiones, do you recommed I use funnels? I am currently using funnels via Google Analytics for SEO conversion measurement

              Thanks!

                Hi Carla_Dawson,

I'm not sure I follow your info exactly, but why would you need 25 unique thank you pages to track Adwords conversions?

1 Thank you page is enough with proper tracking installed and you'll be able to see the stats for each landing page right in Adwords / Analytics.

If you need to redirect to unique Thank You pages, then CF7 makes it very easy to change the redirect. You would need the 25 different contact forms, but you should be able to copy/paste the forms in WordPress, to make that process easier.

Multi Step Form or Standard Form for Data Capture

We are redesigning our web site real estate (www.nyc-officespace-leader.com). A key component of the site is the property search form. Currently visitors completes 5 fields and properties that meet the criteria are displayed to the visitor. I have noticed that my leading competitors (www.42floors.com, www.squarefoot.com) use multi step forms that ask single questions of the visitors. In effect they are reducing complexity by asking a single question per form. However the visitor must complete additional forms. Before results are served, both competing sites require the visitor to release contact info. 42floors has a clever inducement for the visitor to release their info: "Their are 127 listings that haven't been posted yet, but are visible to members." Once the visitor releases info they get to view the listings. While this is somewhat coercive, I suspect it is effective in obtaining customer date. While I understand it may result in some visitors bouncing off the site, the form completions are extremely valuable. Currently we provide listings without requiring registration but obtain very little data about visitors. In New York City, there are so many commercial real estate sites that visitors have a tendency to bounce from one to another without leaving info or calling. Multi step forms would allow me to add questions that are highly pertinent. Like when do they need possession, how long a lease term. By being asked very specific, relevant questions I wonder if that would not in fact increase the likely hood of the visitor to release info Any advice?? I am attaching several of the forms in question. In the event that we proceed with a multi part form, their are certain services like Leadformly that integrate with Wordpress. I see the eliminate the need for a Capcha and have other advantages. Is it beneficial to use such a package? iQUNh 19ugT he23uak

Overlay / modal for product pages - bad or good for SEO?

Hi all, I am considering using full overlays/modals for an e-commerce site for all our product pages (category/listing pages will be "normal", the product page will come over the listing page as an overlay/modal when you click on the product). Those “product overlays” will also be accessible directly with own URL (if need to be linked to for ex.). All the literature I find out there treats overlays and modals as “marketing” ones (ads, sign-ups, etc.) and is generally critical to overlays when it comes to SEO, while also saying that an overlay that has to do with good UX should not hurt the SEO of our site. What do you think? Will all product pages as overlays be considered as good UX by the search engines and therefore not be negatively impacted, SEO speaking? Or should we stay clear of overlays and create “normal” product pages? Thanks in advance! Arnaud NB: The reason we want to create those overlays are for design and UX purposes, and try to increase our conversion rate.

Tracking a Deposit Page Through Google Analytics: Which is a better way?

Good day to all, I do have game download website (Works like Google Play and Steam) and currently working on the deposit page which is payable by fund transfer and Paypal. The thing is I do not have a confirmation page that I can use to track all incoming successful and unsuccessful conversions for this deposit page. My question is, which is better to use for this kind of tracking a goal in Google Analytics? Are we going to use a virtual page or and event tracking method? How can I track users that visit the deposit page that weren't able to do a deposit attempt? Thanks for answering this question. Have a good day ahead.

Landing page on a separate domain?

I want to start a PPC campaign for an ecommerce site, but my ads are rejected due to my URL being offensive.  The name works great from a branding perspective, but it has kept me from being listed in certain directories and advertisements. I thought about buying a separate domain to host the landing pages for the PPC campaign where the user would then be redirected to my product page for purchasing. Is this a good idea?  Would you recommend another approach?

Rich Snippets on service pages and how to aggregate?

Question about rich snippets.. I want to showcase reviews of the SERVICE's offered  but I am not sure if I should include them on the service page, a review page or both.  For example, we offer snow plowing and lawn care services and each service has its own page.  I have reviews for both services under the my "testimonials" page.   So, a couple questions. 1 - Should I pace a single review marked up on each service page? 2 - Does the review need to be a google review or can I use reviews from other sites?  If not, do I need to notate that somehow using the schema vocabulary?  Example, I have a 5 star review from thumbtrackDOTcom, is it ok to mark up the review and include a nofollow link? (No follow because thumbtrack is actually a competitor.) 3 - When I looked into creating an aggregate rich snippet I got confused / concerned.  Is it ok to list multiple services as a product?  Example: <div< span="">itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Product"> <span< span="">itemprop="name">Lawn Care and Snow Removal</span<> <div< span="">itemprop="aggregateRating" itemscopeitemtype="http://schema.org/AggregateRating">
                  Rated <span< span=""> itemprop="ratingValue">4.5</span<>/5
based on <span< span=""> itemprop="reviewCount">4</span<> customer reviews</div></div<></div<> 4 - When I tested the code above, no stars showed up in the preview.  Do I need to mark up products as well?  Am I doing it completely wrong 🙂 Thanks for any advice!!

                  Same review across multiple pages

Hello, I would like to add reviews on some pages of my website, so it could eventually show up in the google search results with some nice stars. The problem is that the same review will be shown on multiple pages: Example: Reviews about France Reviews about French Riviera Reviews about Monaco (The review is about Monaco but as it's a town on the French riviera and in France i would like to use it to calculate an "Aggregate Rating" for the parent destinations...) Do you think that the use of the same review (with microdata) across multiple pages could be interpreted as a spammy way to get stars in the SERP and eventualy result in lower positions ? Or should I just use the Aggregate Rating without the reviews ? Many thanks for your answers, BR from France Evgueni

How can I pass the Search Term into a lead form?

We receive lead forms from interested visitors that include their name, email, grade level, and academic goals, and we would like to also know which specific phrase they used when searching for us. I need to find a way to grab the referring keywords and pass them as a hidden form field. Can this be done, and are there scripts available that can do this?

Using overlay content on landing pages - possible? recommended?

We want to use an overlay, like a modal dialog, in a landing page to show more information to support conversion without linking to another page or using popups. Anyone have any stats on success or risks? We've considered simple roll-overs to provide some more info, but everyone has raised alarms that we may be introducing a potential technical or usability hurdle for users. The overlay would display when someone rolled over or clicked a "Learn More" link on the page to provide additional offer reinforcement points to drive the visitors from consideration to conversion. Aside from our own testing, we don't have any sources to cite as to whether this approach can or will impact or aid conversion. Any insights would be appreciated.
