I managed to snag an early, early bird ticket to MozCon for $799. Now it appears I won't be going. I'd like to exchange it with another Mozer who does want to go, but would like to save $200 off the current price.
If interested, please email me at patrick.garmoe@travelex.com.

Great to hear that someone from your company can go!
We don't typically allow questions to be deleted. My best suggestion is to go and edit your original post to say that the ticket has been claimed. Thanks!

Please disregard this question. Someone in my company will be going. I'd prefer to delete this question, but cannot.

Hi Patrick,
You also might try posting this on our MozCon Facebook Group. When you do figure out where the ticket is going, just email us at mozcon@moz.com & we'll make the name transfer.

Recovery Question
Hello everyone, hopefully the community can help me, and offer some advice. I sell sporting good products on a custom ecommerce platform, and after one of google's first algorithm updates my organic traffic took a dive. I've been in contact with SEO companies offering their service to help with fixing the issue, and getting my traffic back to where it was before the updates, but they are charging so much, and I can't afford to pay at this time. My buddy told me about Moz, so I signed up for the 99.00 a month plan to see what I can do on my own. Â So my question to the community is where do I begin. Â Should I attempt to go at this myself, or use a company to help me with my recovery. Â Has anyone used TDM Triangle direct media?

Should you Move To HTTPS? Google Thinks So!
Just wanted to share some information that HTTPS is now a positive ranking factor. Here is an article about the fact that it can give a small boost in Rankings: http://searchengineland.com/explainer-googles-new-ssl-https-ranking-factor-works-200492 Here is also a video by Google Saying they think "every site should have a security certificate" and how to employ it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cBhZ6S0PFCY People may already know about this; just thought it was important to share and couldn't find it thoroughly addressed anywhere on the site.

What are you doing to change their stars?
I read on PCWorld a piece by John Rebeiro (@JohnRebeiro) about Google's employee diversity. In it, Google in the US is 70% male and 61% white. There is more data and it's worth a read. My question for those of you who may employ more than a 2 to 3 people is are you actively engaged in doing anything to change the stars of young women, minorities, lower income children, etc.? Why do I ask? Because early on in my Mozziness I saw someone ask for some help with a site around children and autism. From Rand to every mozzer on Q&A there was an outpouring of help. I was truly moved. I would love to learn from others who are further along in these types of efforts.Â

Google does make an effort in that they have RISE awards to assist with those who are working to promote STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) with girls and minorities. These awards are from $10K to $100K to help expand these types of programs. We have had paid interns for some time now and we get as much or more than we give from that effort (boastful disclosure: Our head of development today was our first intern!) We put on a one week Code Camp (go to our site/code-camp) a few months ago and it was amazing - for me and for our team. But, to see kids eyes open up as they realize they have found something they never even thought they would have an interest in is mind blowing. We decided we would give a $25 gift card to Best Buy for the student who was most engaged and pushed the most to learn more, etc. That winner had never thought of coding as something SHE would have an interest in and she was an unbelievable sponge. She pushed our dev staff to give her more and more and it was truly fun and rewarding for them. Yes, we had to spend some time and money, but the break from the day to day of a marketing firm for our team truly invigorated them. I just want to know what others might be doing in the areas of trying get more diversity in the ranks of those who work in our world? It would be great to share ideas and resources. I will tell you that if anyone needs tips, what we learned, etc. I would be more than happy to share all.3 -
Question regarding redirect to www.
Good afternoon – I was wondering if someone could help me with regards to my site @ allrmc.com I have been generating good content and building links for some time and we're getting great results but I was wondering if my site may be suffering from not redirecting to the www. I have heard that google treats “website.com” & “www.website.com” separately and wanted to know if this has been true in anyone’s experience? For instance through site explorer I am finding that using site explorer without the www. We have a 39 PA but with www. It’s 63. If I redirected all visitors to www. Would my SERPS potentially improve? I know this is probably a SEO101 question but would love feedback on this I’m too afraid to do anything drastic without asking first. Thank you for your input! – Cliff
