Invite a Facebook user to Like a Company Page
-
Hi All,
Was looking at our Facebook company page last night and was going through our recent posts and noticed that the individuals that liked our posts had an "Invite" button next to their name.
I've been testing this and is it true that I can only send an Invite to like my company page if I'm actually friends with the user? The "Invite" button is there for every individual that has liked a post on our page, but I've only had success sending the invite to people I'm connected with.
The frustrating thing about this is that the button changes to "Invited" regardless of whether or not they have actually received the invite.

Hi Brandon!
I've been using and loving this feature on Facebook.
From my experience, you're able to invite any and every person who reacts to your content on Facebook. I've seen great success with it since launch, and it has certainly given us a huge boost to our followers. These are not people that are friends with the admin on Facebook; these are just engaged users.
As for the "invited" issue, I have sent people an invite, but they may not have clicked the notification. I've had my team test it out for me, and it seems that it gives a notification for the user to like the page. Whether or not they click that notification and follow-through is on them. If they haven't received the invite, I would have them update the app. If that doesn't work, I'd check their business support forum for further help.

Facebook Likes, Google +1s tactic - is this a good idea
Hello, For our eCommerce site, we're considering doing the following: When people call in to place an order by phone, we take their order and tell them while we have them on the phone that if they click the Facebook Like button and Google +1 button on our site's home page, we'll knock $3 off their total. We would just show them where the buttons are and refresh our screen to make sure the count went up by one like and one +1 when the customer said that they pressed the buttons. Then, we would continue with their phone order and just knock off $3.00 I may not do this just because it may be grey hat, but it seems 100% safe forever. If you recommend against doing this, can you think of any 100% white hat way to do the same thing? Thanks.

Page Speed and Social sharing bookmarks - how to balance
I've been having some challenges on my page load times and am in process of addressing. Some of the issues are my pictures(so I'm in process of condensing), but part of the issue (according to pingdom.com) is my social sharing. I was using 1 click retweet, and when I changed this to Sexy bookmarks, it seemed to improve. But, I'm wondering 2 things: 1. Do you guys have any recos on which plugin is best to use and takes least time to load (I'm not sure if this is contraditory). My priority is G+/Tw/FB. 2. On my sexybookmarks, it's strange because visually, the plugin is not showing up correctly. Where the G+ button should be, it's invisible. Ironically it works, if I click on it, but a normal person is not going to realize it's there. Any suggestions? In case it helps, my site is TheFlooringGirl.com. I don't think the plugin shows up there, but it does show up at the bottom of all of my blog posts. Thx. I appreciate any guidance you can provide.

Facebook Comments For Engines
I incorporated Facebook comments on my site and am now working on displaying it for Google to see. I did so successfully using the FB comment display php script (See: http://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/490) on the page below, but it is displaying in the browser as well. What is the best preactice to hide this from the human visitors? Here is an example page of the comments and the output of the PHP script that needs to be hidden from human visitors: http://www.jwsuretybonds.com/info/videos/l1-what-are-surety-bonds.htm
