Topics and H tag
-
Hello,
Is it ok to talk about multiple topics under an H tag or should I stick to 1 topic per H tag.
Thank you,
-
The more niche, the better results...IMO. If you want to get ranked well on 3 different topics, build 3 different pages.
You would only want (1) H1 tag per page, and multiple H2-H6 tags per page.

Ok, Thank you,
-
Hi,
I and many SEOs still prefer one
tag per page but you can use it more if it makes sense.
Thanks

In general, I would say you should stick to one topic per heading, and utilize sub-headings for sub-topics.
For instance, a page title of "animals" might be an H1 heading. Beneath that H1, you might speak to different animal classes like "mammals" and "reptiles" under H2 headings. And beneath those H3 headings, you could talk about specific animals under H4 headings.
Having said that, based on quotes and tweets and Q&A sessions with Google staff and other experts that have floated around over the years, I wouldn't place too much weight on how you structure your headings, just as long as you're making your content as easy as possible for users to consume.

How to add Canonical Tags on Opencart Products
Does anyone know how to add canonical tags to product pages in Opencart? Is this possible to do in htaccess? If so, how specifically should it be written in? Please do not post any links to other pages which reference generic canonical information as I've read them all and none help. I'm looking for an Opencart specific answer, or a way to do it in htaccess.

Competitor keyword image alt tag on their templates company logo
A competitor with maybe a couple of hundred pages throughout their website has recently added an image alt tag of a keyword to their company logo which links back to there homepage. The homepage is not particularly optimized towards this keyword and do not use the keyword within the text content at all apart from within the page title, So the image and link destination are not relevant towards the keyword. They seem to rank well for this competitive keyword in our industry using what i see as a slightly unethical internal linking strategy. We are currently working on some solid content to compete with this, but i was just wanting some advice on the situation, How does Google not see this as manipulative having the same link in the template from each page?

Does City In Title Tag Inhibit Broader Reach?
I use our city/state in the majority of our title tags and consequently we do very well locallly for the majority of terms on our ecommerce site. I'm wondering however, if this "localized" optimization will inadvertently affect our keyword rankings outside of our city/state? If a keyword query does not include our city or state, would Google interpret our titles as less relevent and therefore move other results ahead of ours? The city/state is last in the string on the title: Blue Widgets - Our Company in City, State Thanks for any insight.

Should I Allow Blog Tag Pages to be Indexed?
I have a wordpress blog with settings currently set so that Google does not index tag pages. Is this a best practice that avoids duplicate content or am I hurting the site by taking eligible pages out of the index?
