Crawl Test is now On-Demand Crawl!
-
If you've been with Moz a while, you may have used our old Crawl Test tool. A year ago we launched an all new, campaign-based Site Crawl (with an entirely rebuild crawl engine), but Crawl Test fell into disrepair and we haven't had a solid tool for crawling non-campaign domains.
I'm happy to announce that we've just launched an all new On-Demand Crawl, built on the new Site Crawl engine, with a UI that's focused on quick insights. Moz Pro Standard tier customers can run up to 5 crawls per month at 3,000 page per crawl (crawls are saved for 90 days), with per-month limits increasing at higher levels.
Most On-Demand Crawls should run in a few minutes, making the tool perfect to get quick insights for sales meetings, vetting prospects, or analyzing competitors. We've written up a sample case study or logged-in customers can go directly to On-Demand Crawl.
Try it out -- we'd love to hear your use cases (either here or in the blog post comments).

It's been a while since I tried Moz's crawler. This new "major refresh" looks great Dr Pete and Team Moz. Cheers.

Why can I see 404 pages in Google Analytics but nothing in the On-Demand Crawl?
Hello, I'm looking at some Google Analytics data for a website and can see a few 'Page not found's among the Page Titles, looking like these are 404 errors. To get a full list of what's 404-ing so I can get these redirected, the Moz on-demand crawl of the website has come back with no major errors and just a few metadata ones. Does anyone know any potential reasons why the audit has drawn a blank, and is there another way to get a comprehensive list of 404s, as I'm aware the Google Analytics data may not be covering all of them. Thanks very much Becky

Crawl report shows that it gets 4xx errors for pages that work fine. Why?
On the crawl report it has all these "Critical Crawler Issues". They all say "4xx Error", yet when i click on the link from the crawler report, it goes to a perfectly functioning page, not a 404 page or anything. If i click in it actually says it's a 403 error. It's all for pages generated by the IDX solution for our real estate website. Is Moz broken or am i missing something? Here are a couple examples:

https://teamvivi.com/homes-for-sale-map-search/

https://teamvivi.com/email-alerts/

I have reviewed the source and cannot use any http: resources.

Is there a way to export all your crawl errors for multiple Moz campaigns at once?
We're looking for a simple way to export all crawl errors for our Moz campaigns. More than likely we could use the API, but was wondering if there was any functionality already built into Moz for exporting all crawl errors.

Internal Links Count in Crawl Report
My understanding of the 'Internal Links' results in a moz crawl report is that it represents the number of links on the given page that link to other pages on the same site.Assuming this is a correct assumption: We recently ran a crawl report on www.phase1tech.com. Some of the pages are coming back with a large amount of 'internal links'. These 2 pages for example are showing 800 internal links: http://www.phase1tech.com/Upcoming-Events
Moz Bar | | AISEO
http://www.phase1tech.com/Contact Then there are a number of pages coming back with 705 Internal Links, including: http://www.phase1tech.com/Dalsa-CameraLink-Cameras
http://www.phase1tech.com/Hitachi-CameraLink-Cameras At best there are approximately 70-80 links on these pages. Where are these large counts coming from? Is there a means to see what the links being reported on are? At the same time the 'Too Many On-Page Links' indicates 'No' for some pages with a high number of links, and 'Yes' for pages with a low number of links. For example: http://www.phase1tech.com/Baumer-SX-Series
Too Many On-Page Links: Yes
Internal Links: 2

Moz Crawl Test says pages have no internal links
Greetings, I am working on a website, https://www.nasscoinc.com, and ran a Moz Crawl Test on it. According to the crawl test, only 2 of the website's hundreds of pages are receiving internal links. When I run a similar test on the site using Screaming Frog, I see that most of the pages have at least one internal link. I'm wondering if anyone has seen this before with the crawl test; and there is a way to get the crawl test to see the internal links? Thanks!

How do you stop Moz crawling a page?
Hello, I have a contact form which generates thousands of duplicate crawl errors. I'm going to use to block Google indexing these pages. Will this also block MOZ from crawling these pages and displaying the error? Thanks!

How do I get Moz to crawl my site?
If I'm not mistaken, Moz will crawl my site once a week and let me know of any errors, notices etc.. But can I ask them to crawl once I have updated all the errors? or do I have to wait for them to do this automatically?
