Duplicate Content on a page that isn't duplicate?
-
So, I've been working on a site for a while, and they recently had one of their blog posts marked as "duplicate content" on Moz Pro:
https://ashlandbreastpumps.com/blog/breast-milk-storage-guidelines/
Reviewing this post, there's nothing here to suggest that it should be considered duplicate. Link is marked canonical, there are no weird domain shenanigans to cause confusion, the content is distinct, and there's a lot of content there that prevents it from being overcome by coding white noise (So "more content" wouldn't be a solution here). So I'm trying to figure out why this particular post was flagged. Did Moz Pro make a mistake?
-
You could hit mark as fixed if you believe this is a non issue really.
-
Except Moz doesn't explain how it's duplicate. The post itself, when compared to other pages, looks quite different. There's a canonical tag in the section. There's over 2000 words in this particular page, which should rule out the "not enough content" issue that sometimes happens with these. Finally, there are no weird (sub)domain issues that could be a cause, since it's on the primary domain.
The lack of an explanation as to what's causing them to raise this flag is at issue here, especially when it shouldn't be raising it.
-
It does not. All it says is that there is a Duplicate Content issue without specifying what is duplicate about it. See screencap.
-
it would have been marked duplicate if the content is 70% similar to other pages on site. I have seen this being reported for my site as well.
-
It should list which part or text is duplicate and from where.

My duplicate pages are mostly Tag pages...what are best practices?
As I'm looking through my Moz Pro reports on Pages with Duplicate Content, almost all the results are from the automatically created "tag" pages from my blog. I.e., takeflyte.com/flyte/tags/kickapps Should I worry about this? Does it have a negative impact in my search visibility? Should I be using canonical tags on these pages (and if so, pointing them where if there's multiple pages that use the same tags?) How would you recommend handling this issue?

How to fix Moz assigning the wrong keyword to a page
Somehow the Moz tool has assigned the main keyword here this to my Google Structured Data Update page. Most likely, I missed something which caused the error. "Keyword np - /google-structured-data-update/" This is for my page titled "Announcement of Google algorithm updates Impact SEO techniques"The canonical tag links to https://www.hillwebcreations.com/google-algorithum-updates-impact-seo-tactics/ as it should, so I am wondering how to update the keyword Moz associates this page with.Any leads to solving this would be appreciated.

Duplicated content issue?
Hi, Moz tools tell me that I have approx. 15xx Pages with High Priority Issues [Duplicate Page Content] going thru the details here are the majority: many products no longer exist and visitor redirected (404) to a same not found page. duplicated content with url appended with utm_source/utm_medium/utm_campaign GA tracking paras. On those page there are already canonical tags plus I've configed those parameters in Google Webmaster "URL Parameters" how much of these warning could compromise the seo proformance or provided that there have been dealt with should I just ignore these warning?

Issues with Page Grader Tool and competitor KW Rankings
I'm having two very frustrating issues with Moz: The page grader tool is not 'connecting' the correct keyword with the correct URL. For instance, if I want to rank for Dallas Motorcycle Accident Lawyer and create page of optimized content at Dallas.Zdfirm.com/Motorcycle-Accident, Moz doesn't grade THAT page. It grades Dallas.ZDFirm.com which to no surprise rates as an F. This is happening with both web sites on this account so much that the page grader tool is not delivering any value. My competitors keywords are not tracking properly. They are showing for "not in the top 50" for keywords that they are on the first page for. Again, this is for both domains on this account. Thanks, Brian

I'm tired of logging in to MOZ
I like this site, I really do, which is why I visit multiple times a day. But I grow weary of these premium sites that require me to log in multiple times a day. This morning I was simultaneously working at ordercup.com, strengthcoach.com, and moz.com, and all three log me out at every turn. Argh!!! What's worse is that some MOZ pages think I'm logged in and others don't. I don't fully understand the logic behind the curtain, so I wander from page to page trying to get the login in sync. Why can't these sites work like lynda.com where I can stay logged in for days and weeks? To top it off, LastPass rolled out a new release that broke auto-login. All this logging in is getting in the way of me getting anything done.
