Title Tags for Medical Names
-
Hi Everyone! I just transitioned into SEO in the medical spectrum and have never come across such long names. In terms of recommendations for character counts in title tags, what would be the recommendation? Write until it gets truncated (which is current state)? Use the abbreviation? Try to ensure the "plain language" words appear towards the front? Any viewpoints would be appreciated!

@yaelslater There is no specific checklist. You just have to be relevant, informative, and write with the context. Google will understand easily the title of your page. Try to add more context with the first 65 characters and you can add more if it's required.
I hope this helps.

Hello @aabanks
Yes, I'm referring to page-wise descriptions that show up in SERPs. Also, it is crucial that the same are unique for every page along with the link titles for a website.

The meta description tag of a single page or single URL.
Kindly keep unique link titles and meta description tags for every URL on your site and map your keywords accordingly avoiding keyword cannibalization. (This happens when you target the same keyword for multiple pages)

@yaelslater For Page Title the recommendation is generally around 70 to 75 characters.
But if the keywords are important you should include them in the Meta Description Tag which can go up to 300 characters recommended by Moz.
Also, if the language is read from left to right for the website, it is advisable to keep the keyword starting from the left and you can include the abbreviation in brackets if the search volume is good enough.
Good Practice: Primary Keyword - Secondary Keyword - Short Site Name
It is fine if the primary keyword is big then you should truncate the secondary keyword from the title, hope this helps.

Should the Product Name/Keyword be first in meta description?
I'm writing my meta descriptions for my products. Right now I have it as <product name="">at <company name="">and a brief description.</company></product> However, I was wondering if I put a word in front of the <product name="">such as "Wholesale". So for example</product> Wholesale <product name="">at <company name="">.......</company></product> Is that advisable? Or should the product name always be the first word?

Google Forcing Spelling Correction For A Name/Keyword
We work for a doctor who has a common name that she spells differently than the way most people spell it. So when you put it in Google Search, Google keeps trying to say "do you mean this spelling instead?" and it corrects it, but the name I'm putting in IS the correct spelling of the name. I'm worried this is going to affect how people will find her when they type in the correct spelling of her name in Google Search. Any solutions of how we can avoid this problem?

Long tail traffic only to category, should we make the title keyword rich?
Hello, Some of my client's internal categories only rank for long tail terms. Should we make the title keyword rich or should we stick to one very small keyword phrase and use that as the title. Also, is there any reason to write a full 500 words for category descriptions on weak, internal categories(PA 15)? Thanks

All In One SEO Plugin & Titles
When I first started blogging I hired a company to design and develop my website. They provided SEO training which I've followed religiously but now I'm starting to wonder (after researching more and more about SEO) if by following these guidelines I may be placing myself in jeopardy. I write a blog about desserts. I was told that my SEO title should be different than my blog post title and I should incorporate a few different keywords in the title, write a meta description inserting a few keywords, and also attach 10 keywords, ie here is a typical post: Dark Chocolate Cake with Dark Chocolate Cherry Ganache - post title Moist Chocolate Cake-Chocolate Ganache Cake-Chocolate Cherry Cake - SEO title Find recipe for quick and easy, moist Dark Chocolate Cake topped with Chocolate Cherry Ganache & fresh cherries & other Chocolate Desserts at Grace's Sweet Life. how to make chocolate cake, best chocolate cake, chocolate cake from scratch, best chocolate cake recipe, moist chocolate cake, simple chocolate cake, easy chocolate cake, homemade chocolate cake, chocolate cherry cake, chocolate fudge cake, chocolate ganache recipe I've come to realize that I really don't know how to keyword search (not so much how to search for phrases but how to implement them properly) and I'm wondering if there's such a thing as "hiring a trainer or consultant" to put me on the appropriate path for keyword research.

Alt. Tags
How many alt tags should you aim for per page, or Images? Anytime I complete a page I run it through SEOmoZ Page analysis, and usually shoot for an "A", I also look at our competitors to see how many alt tags they are using, and they always have 2-3 per page with keyword inserted. For example If I was aiming for EX. NFL tickets how could I incorp. this into more than 1 image having the keywords on the page without stuffing. Our editor give us the option to put Image Description & Title. Thx

Press Release Title Optimization
I'm getting ready to distribute a press release on PRWeb and had a question regarding the proper way to optimize the headline. Should I use our targeted keywords or our brand in the headline? We don't have a really strong brand, we are not a very well know company throughout the business world. The choices would read like this: "Maker of Blue Widgets Receives Pretigous [big company name] Award" or "[Brand Name] Receives Prestigious [big company name] Award" Any thoughts? Thanks -Brandon
