My website is constantly decreasing
-
For few weeks ago my website is constantly decreasing in search position. I lost keywords and is gooooing down.
Although it is well rated on several on page and off page seo verification software that I have tried.
I checked Google search console and Analytics and found no major problems. However… from one day to another it keeps going down.
I also checked what the main competitors are doing and they are not doing well, at all.
The main competitor actually has a creepy website. Totally devoid of onpage or offpage SEO but with an enormous number of backlinks. And of a very bad quality, which should disqualify it, still…
Few weeks ago I changed something.
In the pages I had H1, 4xH2, no H3 and an H4 without content.
An unnatural H tag structure.
Now I have H1, H2, H3, 3xH4, with the coherent information.
Theoretically, Google should have been “happy” or I’m missing something.I use a SAAS platform.
I just found out that they made changes to the keywords (tags).
I am selling toner cartridges for printers.
So…
The tags are printer models and generate a url in which they have the products.
Ex. https://www.sertit.ro/cartus-imprimanta-cilindru-color-hp-laserjet-pro-m-177fw goes to the products for that printer model.
The question is… should I make tag canonical?
Is it possible for products to loose so much in Google search? -

I did all the checks, it doesn't reach 100% but between 82-96% at technical and content.
Social media still working on it, with some ads, backlinks are around 100k, with good DA and PA and growing.I have another suspicion...
I sell consumables for printers.
Until now, the products were individual.
In January, i made a change to the products and grouped them by printer models. Example: All products for Konica Minolta Bizhub C224 are in this url wich is created by tag (tag is printer model).
They contain both toner cartridges and developer or drum units (which are also individual products, of course).
All individual products have decreased by position in google searches.
Shall I canonically set these tags that contain all the products? Or what ? -
@Dan_Tala I can provide you with some general reasons why a website's traffic may be decreasing and some tips on how to address those issues:
Technical Issues: Technical issues such as site speed, server errors, broken links, mobile responsiveness, etc., can lead to poor user experience and reduced traffic. To address these issues, you can run a website audit using tools like Google Search Console or SEMrush to identify and fix technical issues.

To address this issue, update and improve your content with relevant, informative, and engaging content that provides value to your audience. Use keyword research tools to optimize your content for relevant keywords.
Keyword Rankings: If your website's keyword rankings have dropped, it could be due to algorithm updates, competition, or changes in user behavior. To address this issue, conduct a thorough analysis of your keyword rankings, update your content with relevant keywords, and optimize your on-page elements.
Backlinks: If your website has lost high-quality backlinks or has been hit by negative SEO, it can impact your search rankings and traffic. To address this issue, conduct a backlink analysis, disavow low-quality or spammy backlinks, and focus on building high-quality backlinks from relevant and authoritative sources.
Social Media Presence: Social media can be an essential source of traffic for websites. If your website's social media presence is weak, it could be impacting your traffic. Here are some steps you can take to improve your website loading speed using speed optimization tools:
Run a website speed test: Use a speed optimization tool such as websitespeedy, Google PageSpeed Insights, GTmetrix, or Pingdom. This tool can help you assess your website's performance by measuring its speed and suggesting areas for improvement.
Render blocking: Eliminate render blocking by optimizing your website's code and using asynchronous loading. This can improve website speed and reduce page load times.
Lazy loading images: Implement lazy loading on your website to load images and other content as users scroll, improving website speed and reducing page load times.
Fix Core Web Vitals: Core Web Vitals are a set of user-centered metrics that evaluate website performance. Improve your website's Core Web Vitals by optimizing your website's loading speed, layout shift, and interactivity.
By using speed optimization tools and implementing these steps, you can significantly improve your webpage loading speed, providing a better user experience and potentially increasing your sales.

Migration + Change of Address Tool used - previous site de-indexed!!
OMG disaster! Recently migrated my site womencycles.com to moonrise.health. Painstakingly went through each URL manually to map out redirects, notified Google via change of address tool. Bam. My old website has disappeared from Google and my new site has thus lost all it's organic (i.e. redirected) traffic. I don't get it. I think I have done everything by the book, but it seems my old site has disappeared and no authority or link juice has been passed to my new site by the 301s, as the new site isn't ranking either. Permalink structure of an excising website
Hey everyone, We have a website - a business directory. It is a large directory with lots of B2B listings. So currently our URL structure for the categories look like this: dispensarystack.com/category/professional-services/ **We want to rank for the KW "dispensary professional services". ** Is it enough that we have the word dispensary in our brand name and in this way in the URL structure or is it better to make the slug: **dispensarystack.com/category/**dispensary-professional-services/ Or even closer to the root of the website: **dispensarystack.com/**dispensary-professional-services/ Thank you for your time and answers!

Mobile sitemap needed for responsive website?
I've seen some older 2012 posts that discuss, but nothing recent given the new changes to emphasize mobile. For website that are already tested and verified as mobile responsive, is best practice to develop a mobile-specific sitemap and submit that as well? Or will any mobile crawlers spider the regular sitemap?

Using Product Page Content from an Offline Website
Hi all, We have two websites. One of the website's no longer sells product range A. However, on the second website, we would like to sell range A. We paid a copywriter to write some really good content for these ranges and we were wondering if we would get stung for duplicate content if we took these descriptions from website 1 and placed them on website 2. The products / descriptions are live anymore and haven't been for about 6 weeks. We're ranking for some great keywords at the moment and we don't want to spoil that. Thanks in advance! D

What would cause a huge decrease in total links?
After the latest crawl of one of my client campaigns in Moz, I noticed that their domain authority dropped by 3 since the last crawl just one week ago. That seems pretty drastic. I took a look around to see what might have been the cause, and in looking at the Links > Competitive Metrics > History section of Moz, I found that the site had a decrease of total links from 5,339 to 1,072 (see image) - also a drastic decrease. My question is, what would cause such a huge, sudden decrease in links over just the course of one month? I haven't changed anything up with the approach to their online strategy, in fact we have put increased emphasis on the creation of natural links so this huge decrease comes as a real surprise. I should also mention that Total External Links also decreased, but only from 243 to 205. Any insight into these numbers and what could have possibly caused such a drastic decrease would be very much appreciated! Screen-Shot-2014-07-23-at-10.00.28-AM.png

Mobile Google Not Indexing Mobile Website
Google currently does not index our mobile website. It has the WWW website in it's index. When a user from a mobile phone clicks on a mobile search result for WWW we redirect them to our mobile website. This is posing problems for us as our mobile website is a fraction of the # of pages/sections as our WWW. So for example, mobile search results show that we have a "careers" section; but that's not the case for the mobile website. As a result a user gets a 404. How do we force mobile Google to index our mobile website instead of our WWW?

What's the website that analyzes all local business submissions?
I was recently looking at a blog post here or a webinar and it showed a website where you could see all of the local sites (yelp, Google places) where your business has been submitted. It was an automated tool. Does anyone remember the name of the site?
