How Accurate is grader.com?
-
Because I noticed a couple conflicting information they recommends me to do, but it conflicts some SEOmoz recommendations.

My apologies, actually I am still running my analysis, & I think I accidentally hit send before I was finished typing. And in fact, as I can see, I definitely prematurely sent. ; )
I promise, I will send any conflicting issues SEOmoz way.I just trust SEOMoz guys information more than I do Hub spots spammy newsletters, & banners. I just really am needing to know how SEOmoz feels about them, and if SEOmoz trusts their guidance. When it comes to the Site Grader portion, with SEOmoz webinars, and suggestions, and tools, I scored a 95%, when 5 months ago, I was an 80%.

Grader is an overview. Use the SEOMoz Web app for a much clearer picture of your site. Just curious what conflicts?

OSE seems to be less and less accurate
Howdy folks, Into our 3rd year of using MOZ and OSE and well not sure about you guys but I think OSE is reporting less and less accurately. Has anyone seen a drop in it's accuracy or ability to delivery what it claims to? I know many of you also use AHREFS and others but why not get this tool right MOZ?

Getting a URL Unaccessible on the page grader
I'm optimizing a site for a financial advisor, here is the site: http://www.mattkeenancfp.com I am getting the message "that URL is unaccessible" when I try to use the on-page grader. This is an emerald website too, I'm not sure if that has any effect on anything though.

Keyword Stuffing - MOZ On-Page Grader
We sell a great number of insulation products, many of which are produced by individual manufacturers. On the page identified below the Keyword "Kingspan" is repeated numerous times as these items are included in our online shop. However, the many mentions of Kingspan are recorded in the HTML5 Source Code, rather than an external database. When I used the MOZ On-Page Grader, using the keywords "Kingspan" I was surprised to achieve an "A" Grade! I know I shouldn't be complaining, but I am wondering why the significant repetition of the word "Kingspan" has not negatively impacted my score? http://www.just-insulation.com/001-eshop/buy-kingspan-thermapitch-thermawall-thermafloor-insulation-boards.html

Is Galaxy.com blackhat?
They advertise themselves as the internet's oldest free searchable web directory. The MozBar shows their homepage: http://www.galaxy.com/ with these stats... PA: 77, mR:5.81, mT:6.59, DA:93 These numbers seem good. In order to get listed with them there's a $10 fee for a standard listing. So I started wondering why they weren't hit by Panda/Penguin. After searching SEOMoz and not finding any information that satisfied my curiosity I did a google search for "galaxy web directory". It doesn't show up on the first page. To me this indicates a ban or penalty. If it's penalized, why is Moz giving it such great numbers? Also, are there any paid directories that would be worth the $$$? I thought the answer was supposed to be automatically no these days, but I keep hearing that some Blackhat still works. I don't like the idea, but if it's working I don't want to be missing out in the SERPs.

Exact match .ORG/.INFO vs. all query terms .COM - proof?
Hello world 🙂 I have searched among tons of quality articles here on forums, but surprisingly I haven't found topic that goes into the deep water when it comes to a specific KW rich domain problem. Let me first state that I'm mainly based this topic on the information found in following blog posts by randfish (that guru with the beard). http://www.seomoz.org/blog/exact-match-domains-are-far-too-powerful-is-their-time-limited and http://www.seomoz.org/blog/google-vs-bing-correlation-analysis-of-ranking-elements My questions is only related to RANKING aspect of the domains - NOT how is sounds, smell or dance. As all good simple .COM KW domain combinations are already taken, only thing that is left is to be a bit creative using non .COMs exact match, hyphens .COM exact match, all query terms .COM with a letter or word added etc. QUESTION and case study I found a good keyword phrase, let us called it 'super domain' with low competition & high monthly searches and great revenue possibilities. Naturally, first step is to acquire a exact match .COM domain (EMD). But, of course, that is not possible because 'superdomain.com' and super-domain.com has already been taken by some greedy domain broker waiting someone to pay $1.000.000 for it. Not an option. What options do I got? OPT1) superdomainA.COM (keyword phrase with added 'A' at the end) OR OPT2) superdomain.ORG/NET/INFO (keyword phrase on non .COM TLD) I couldn't find any studies with test and clear results regarding this subject. This is VERY important because, regarding to the links I posted, there is a 0.10 better correlation if choosing OPT1) superdomainA.COM, even if using exact match domain OPT2) superdomain.ORG/NET. But they haven't been cross tested in that results in the same post. So it's big '?' sign to me. As SEO market is getting more and more competitive, it is important to not leave anything to chance. I would appreciate if randfish, or anybody else could give some inputs about this. Thanks in advance!

Why does SEOmoz assign such a high Domain Authority to subdomains on blogspot, typepad, wordpress.com, etc.?
I thought it was generally accepted that the search engines treat joesmith.wordpress.com and www.wordpress.com as completely different domains. In which case, a cute but obscure blog like http://monkeysalwayslook.typepad.com/ has no business having a DA of 95.

Site recently updated- are my campaign results really accurate?
I recently updated a website and it seems as though my campaign results are not accurate. I feel that the more I learn about SEO, the less I know (if that makes sense?). Every time I check my campaign results for this site I feel like I am missing something but just don't know where to begin. The site is aphroditedesserts.com For example, "aphrodite desserts" is one of my keywords. When I type that into Google, it automatically pulls up the site as #1. But in my campaign, it shows that "aphrodite desserts" does not rank in the top 50 for google. Why is this? (I know there is a lot I could do to improve the SEO keywords on this site, but I am limited because of the client's budget.) However, if I could just get a handle on the answers for these types of issues, I think I would feel much more confident as an SEO specialist. Right now I feel more like a fraud. =( Any insight into what may be causing this would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
