Idea for new feature on Moz Q&A
-
Hi Moz
Can we please have a new feature to moz when answering questions please, the ability to save as a draft. I am currently on the train from London back home and I was trying to answer a few questions and give my opinion and after writing a really long and detailed response to an area I actually have quite a lot to say on, my internet froze and the page refreshed losing all the content. It doesn’t help that my Mac I am working on isn’t the fastest, but my new one isn’t quite ready yet.
But if there was a simple save draft feature, it would be really great as I wasn’t ready to post my answer as it wasn’t finished and without checking wouldn’t have made sense. Yes I know I could of done it in word and pasted it across, but usually when I am travelling and answering questions I do it on my Ipad which isn’t great for multitasking.
While I understand you don’t want lots of ‘draft answers’ all over the place as this would take storage space up on your servers and doesn’t actually help the person answering the question, your system could purge all draft answers which have not been edited in the last 24 hours.
Just a little suggestion to help make this great forum even better.
Thanks
Andy

In understand about dev time and trying to get things put into the priority list - its a real challenge in todays business especially for those in SEO as these days onsite factors help in ranking, its no longer all about links
But I agree about images that would be good, if and when you ever do move to a new platform and want some people to test the it, let me know I am always willing to help out where possible.

Just adding my two cents, while you are making your list.

I should be clear that we're still in research mode, so it may be a while still on the old platform, depending how other projects at Moz shake out. We all need time from our devs.
-
If you are in the process of updating, maybe an easier way to attach images?

Here here!
I don't even type on trains and I still loose some post.
Good suggestion.

Hey Andy,
This is a great suggestion! We're deeply aware that our Q&A system has some not so friendly quirks. We're actually currently on the hunt for a new platform solution/backend to host our Q&A forum on, and we'll definitely add this to our list of features that we'd like to have.
Thanks for being an active Q&Aer. And sorry about any troubles and frustration.

When I try to run a Moz report, it sends me to a 404 page?
Hey there. I'm trying to export a .pdf to send to my client. When I click "export pdf", the page sits for a second then goes to a 404 page? I've never seen this before. Is anyone else getting this problem?

Moz Crawler Causing Server Timeouts... Crawling thousands of non-existant pages with query parameters
Moz crawler is crawling all pages like this: http://www.xxxx.com/?product_count=100&product_order=desc&product_orderby=date http://www.xxxx.com/?product_count=100&product_order=desc&paged=1 http://www.xxx.com/?product_count=100&product_order=desc&product_view=grid Last month it crawled 80,000 pages on a site with less than 100 pages. Is there a way to select only certain pages to be crawled? Right now it is still crawling this site, since Monday morning and it's Tuesday mid-day. Every Monday it is causing time-outs from high band width on our server. Just getting ready to delete this client from the account unless there is a solution someone can give us. Thanks.

External Links not showing in MOZ?
Hello:) I have a ton of external links on my site, but there not showing on MOZ? The reason i'm slightly concerned is because my top competitor has 80 and I show as only having 3? Does any one know why this would be? Also, my traffic on MOZ is a lot lower then my traffic report on Google Analytics? Is that normal, & which should I trust more? Here's my Site: Www.ThumannAgency.com Thank you in advance:)

Why Moz Rank tracker's results are different from results search in browser?
I would like to perform a competitor rank analysis in Google.gr . I have noticed that the results from the rank tracker for Google.gr are different than the results in Google.gr from a machine located in Greece with no Google account logged in. Could you inform me why such a behavior occurs?

Moz Analytics only working with Google Analytics?
Hi, My company uses Piwik for analytics. Do you know if there is a way to make the new Moz Analytics work with Piwik? Or if Piwik support will be provided at some point? Thanks! P.S. : I know it would be easier to switch to Google Analytics, but for many reasons we can't 😞

Moz "Crawl Diagnostics" doesn't respect robots.txt
Hello, I've just had a new website crawled by the Moz bot. It's come back with thousands of errors saying things like: Duplicate content Overly dynamic URLs Duplicate Page Titles The duplicate content & URLs it's found are all blocked in the robots.txt so why am I seeing these errors?
Moz Bar | | Vitalized
Here's an example of some of the robots.txt that blocks things like dynamic URLs and directories (which Moz bot ignored): Disallow: /?mode=
Disallow: /?limit=
Disallow: /?dir=
Disallow: /?p=*&
Disallow: /?SID=
Disallow: /reviews/
Disallow: /home/ Many thanks for any info on this issue.0
