How to speed indexing of web pages after website overhaul.
-
We have recently overhauled our website and that has meant new urls as we moved from asp to php. we also moved from http to https.
The website (https://) has 694 urls submitted through site map with 679 indexed in sitemap of google search console.
As we look through the google search console analytics we notice that google index section / index status it says:
https://www.xyz.com version - index status 2
www.xyz.com version - index status 37
xyz.com version - index status 8how can we get more pages to be indexed or found by google sooner rather than later as we have lost major traffic.
thanks for your help in advance

You can simply use Fetch as Google. A Google web master tool which will easily Index you website.
-
You could always use the Fetch As Google function in Search Console. This might speed things up for you, but the fact of the matter is, there is no really quick way to get Google to index your pages. It's never as fast as we would like.
Make sure that if the site has been overhauled, that any old pages are 301'd to their new counterpart. This also means that you might need to check that every http page redirects to the https one.

News articles on our website are being indexed, but not showing up for search queries.
News articles on distributed.com are being indexed by Google, but not showing up for any search queries. In Google Search, I can copy and paste the entire first paragraph of the article, and the listing still won't show up in search results. For example, https://distributed.com/news/dtcc-moves-closer-blockchain-powered-trades doesn't rank AT ALL for "DTCC Moves Closer to Blockchain-Powered Trades", the title of the article. We've tried the following so far: re-submitted sitemap to search console checked manual actions in search console checked for any no-index/no-follow tags Please help us solve this SEO mystery!

Specific page does not index
Hi, First question: Working on the indexation of all pages for a specific client, there's one page that refuses to index. Google Search console says there's a robots.txt file, but I can't seem to find any tracks of that in the backend, nor in the code itself. Could someone reach out to me and tell me why this is happening? The page: https://www.brody.be/nl/assistentiewoningen/ Second question: Google is showing another meta description than the one our client gave in in Yoast Premium snippet. Could it be there's another plugin overwriting this description? Or do we have to wait for it to change after a specific period of time? Hope you guys can help

Do I need to re-index the page after editing URL?
Hi, I had to edit some of the URLs. But, google is still showing my old URL in search results for certain keywords, which ofc get 404. By crawling with ScremingFrog it gets me 301 'page not found' and still giving old URLs. Why is that? And do I need to re-index pages with new URLs? Is 'fetch as Google' enough to do that or any other advice? Thanks a lot, hope the topic will help to someone else too. Dusan

HTTP Pages Indexed as HTTPS
My site used to be entirely HTTPS. I switched months ago so that all links in the pages that the public has access to are now http only. But I see now that when I do a site:www.qjamba.com, the results include many pages with https in the beginning (including the home page!), which is not what I want. I can redirect to http but that doesn't remove https from the indexing, right? Google de-indexed a page on my site
I have a site which is around 9 months old. For most search terms we rank fine (including top 3 rankings for competitive terms). Recently one of our pages has been fluctuating wildly in the rankings and has now disappeared altogether from the rankings for over 1 week. As a test I added a similar page to one of my other sites and it ranks fine. I've checked webmaster tools and there is nothing of note there. I'm not really sure what to do at this stage. Any advice would me much appreciated!

Google Indexed my Site then De-indexed a Week After
Hi there, I'm working on getting a large e-commerce website indexed and I am having a lot of trouble.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | Travis-W
The site is www.consumerbase.com. We have about 130,000 pages and only 25,000 are getting indexed. I use multiple sitemaps so I can tell which product pages are indexed, and we need our "Mailing List" pages the most - http://www.consumerbase.com/mailing-lists/cigar-smoking-enthusiasts-mailing-list.html I submitted a sitemap a few weeks ago of a particular type of product page and about 40k/43k of the pages were indexed - GREAT! A week ago Google de-indexed almost all of those new pages. Check out this image, it kind of boggles my mind and makes me sad. http://screencast.com/t/GivYGYRrOV While these pages were indexed, we immediately received a ton of traffic to them - making me think Google liked them. I think our breadcrumbs, site structure, and "customers who viewed this product also viewed" links would make the site extremely crawl-able. What gives?
Does it come down to our site not having enough Domain Authority?
My client really needs an answer about how we are going to get these pages indexed.0 -
Page Indexed but not Cached
A section of pages on my site are indexed (I know because they appear in SERPs if I copy and paste a sentence from the content), however according to the text-only cached version of the page they are not being read by Google. Why are they indexed event hough it seems like Google is not reading them..... or is Google in fact reading this text even though it seems like they should not be?Thanks for your assistance.

Should I index tag pages?
Should I exclude the tag pages? Or should I go ahead and keep them indexed? Is there a general opinion on this topic?
