Multiple pages optimised for the same keywords but pages are functionally different and visually different

Hi MOZ community!
We're wondering what the implications would be on organic ranking by having 2 pages, which have quite different functionality were optimised for the same keywords.
So, for example, one of the pages in question is
https://www.whichledlight.com/categories/led-spotlights
and the other page is
https://www.whichledlight.com/t/led-spotlightsboth of these pages are basically geared towards the keyword
led spotlights
the first link essentially shows the options for led spotlights, the different kind of fittings available, and the second link is a product search / results page for all products that are spotlights.
We're wondering what the implications of this could be, as we are currently looking to improve the ranking for the site particularly for this keyword. Is this even safe to do? Especially since we're at the bottom of the hill of climbing the ranking ladder of this keyword.

If my keyword is "black hat", i have already a relevant page for black hat . And we get perfect ranking for this keyword from google
But if we would like to get more and more better ranking for Black Hat keyword for the black hat relevant page, we would like to create more internal links and external links
For that we have blogs or sometime we may create internal pages. if the content included "black hat", shall we create anchor link "Black hat" from these blog or newly created internal page to black hat relevant page
How many time can we add these type of link using the same keyword to black hat page? If the method is not good, please advise and help us

Oh I see, my apologies. Generally, you do not want two different pages attempting to rank for the same keyword because of keyword cannibalism (i.e. your pages will be competing with each other in the SERPs). I would change the search page to "Searching for LED Spotlights" or some other keyword specific to that page. I would assume the category page would convert leads better so changing the anchor text (led spotlights) on the "Searching for LED Spotlights" might help assuming you want the category page to rank higher in the SERPs.

Does the video really answer the question though?
In his example he refers to 2 pages, that contain the same keyword, but one of the pages is clearly an offshoot from the main parent page...Where we have 2 pages that is basically using the exact same keyword.
Unless of course we change the search result one to be more like.. 'Seaching for LED Spotlights' -

Hi mozzers, When checking the coverage report on GSC I am seeing over 649,000 valid pages https://cl.ly/ae46ec25f494 but when performing site:domain.com I am only seeing 130,000 pages. Duplicate content across different domains in different countries?
Hi Guys, We have a 4 sites One in NZ, UK, Canada and Australia. All geo-targeting their respective countries in Google Search Console. The sites are identical. We recently added the same content to all 4 sites. Will this cause duplicate content issues or any issues even though they are in different countries and geo-targeting is set? Cheers.

SEO Best eCommerce Practice - Same Product Different Keywords
I want to target different keywords for the same e-commerce product. What's the best SEO practice? I'm aware of the pitfalls to keyword stuffing. The product example is the GoPro Hero 5 Action Camera. The same action camera can be used in many different activities, e.g. surfing, auto racing, mountain biking, sky diving, search & rescue, law enforcement etc. These activities target completely different markets, so naturally the keywords are different. I have three strategies to tackle the issue. Please let me know which one you think is best. 1) Create different keyword landing pages with a call-to-action to the same conversion page Each landing page will be optimized for the targeted keywords e.g. surfing, auto racing, mountain biking, sky diving, search & rescue etc. Obviously this will be a big task because there will be numerous landing pages. Each page will show how the product can be used in these activities. For Surfing, the content would include surfing images with the GoPro Hero 5, instructions on how to mount the camera to a surfboard, waterproof tests, surfing testimonials and surfing owner reviews, etc. The call-to-action leads to a generic product conversion page displaying product information such as specs, weight, video formats, price, shipping, warranty etc. The same product page will be the call-to-action for all keyword landing pages. Positives Vast number of targeting long-tail keywords, numerous landing pages Good specific user experience who may be looking for "underwater action camera" (specific mounting instructions related to surfboards etc.) Less duplicate content as there is only one product page showing the same information Negatives Challenging to come up with each page for the vast amount of activities. To target long-tails, maybe a blog can be used brand ambassadors displaying the product being used in the various activities. May integrating my main category page in the index page improve my ranking of main category keyword?
90% of our sales are made with products in one of our product categories.

A search for main category keyword returns our root domain index page in google, not the category page.
I was wondering whether integrating the complete main category directly in the index page of the root domain and this way including much more relevant content for this main category keyword may have a positive impact on our google ranking for the main category keyword. Any thoughts?1 -
Home page ranks for most keywords with no SEO
Hi Guys, The keyword I am trying to rank is on seperate page with its own Optimization in place. However the HOME page of website starts ranking for that keywords . The keyword is mentioned on Home page Just once in content description, that's all. What should be my ideal strategy. Deleting the Sub Page, will that improve the SEO of my home page and improve the Rank for that keyword ? Also I can see my Own YELP pages rank better than the actual website for few terms . Any way around this ? A Part from building links to page ?

Keyword stuffing
Hi all. I'm working on this page - http://www.alwayshobbies.com/dolls-houses - for the term 'dolls houses'. It's not doing great at the minute (23rd in GUK) and I was wondering if it might be down to the volume of exact match keywords on the page (32). If not, does anyone have any other pointers? Thanks!

Google is displaying my pages path instead of URLS (Pages name)
Does anyone knows why Google is displaying my pages path instead of the URL in the search results, i discoverd that while am searching using a keyword of mine then i copied the link http://www.smarttouch.me/services-saudi/web-services/web-design and found all related results are the same, could anyone one tell me why is that and is it really differs? or the URL display is more important than the Path display for SEO!

Hidden keywords - how many per page?
Hi All, We have a booking website we want to optimize for keywords we cannot really show, because some of our partners wouldn't want it. We figured we can put said keywords or close synonyms onpage in various places that are not too dangerous though (e.g. image names, image alt tags, URLs, etc.). The question is how much keywords we can target though? We know keyword stuffing is detrimental, and we will not start to create long URLs stuffed with keywords, same for H1 tags or page titles. So how many is acceptable/not counterproductive? Thanks!
