Shall i index double pages of my website as compared to my competitors?
-
a:my competitors has indexed 10 pages (checked it with site:abcd.com and found 10 results)
b:what if i index 20 pages of my site and create a lot of content which is also better than my competitors
who will have the edge?
-
My Friend,
the number of pages is not really what makes a difference.
It depends on the quality of the pages, how well you cover the topic, how you made usage of keywords, and how many links you got. A 100 low-value pages are just 100 X 0 = 0.
If you can produce more pages of higher quality and also attract some excellent links to your pages, it can give you an edge.
I wish you all the best in your project!

Non-Interaction Virtual page views
Hello, I would like to know if it is possible in Google Analytics, to generate "non-Interaction" Virtual Page views. In other words, Virtual Page Views, that do not affect the bounce rate (exactly like when we set "non-Interaction": True when we fire an event). I am presently fixing a Google Analytics implementation, where virtual page views were used all over the place instead of events. I am pulling my hairs. Cheers Luca

Stripping referrer on website with a mix of both http and https
I know going from https to http (usually) strips referrers but I was wondering if the referrer is stripped when your website is a mix of both http and https? Say someone browses your site (on http), adds a product and then goes to your cart (https), then decides to go back to another page on your website which is http. Will this strip the referrer? Any help on this would be great, thanks!

Google is not indexing all URLs
My website have company and events profile from 200 countries. So it does have lots of URL. Earlier in August 2014, Google used to crawl 90% of URLs we submit. Thing goes wrong when we shifted from http to https. We lost traffic. But we are gaining it slowly. Main concern is that, It still does not indexed all submitted URLs. It have crawled merely 8% of all URLs submitted. site address is businessvibes.com Any help would be appreciated.

Why is Google Analytics reporting 20% fewer goals than Unique pageviews of same thank you page?
This is really puzzling me and my research has not thrown out the answer. I have always understood URL goals to be unique pageviews of the thank you page you are tracking. UPVs and goals should both only be counted once per session... Has anyone else seen this issue? Goals were not set up historically so I wanted to use unique pageviews of the thank you page for year on year comparisons, but 20% is a big difference! Background There are multiple pages to track so goal is set up using Regex There is no mistake in the goal set up (honest!) The goal URLs all match the unique pageview URLs, there are no rogue URLs There has been no change to the site or the tracking set up Data is not being sampled It's a lead gen site in an area where multiple enquiries within one visit would be very unusual Thanks in advance!

How is it possible that this site has a higher page authority than my site?
Judging by open site explorer, I'm crushing my competitor in every imaginable way. And yet, somehow they have a higher page authority than me and, consequently, are ranking higher than me. How is this possible? My site is on the left: 40atcpP.png

What to Index?
We are using wordpress and seo plugin from yoast. We have set indexed all the posts, but not categories or tags in order to avoid a duplicate as those categories contain the posts. My question is, is it possible to set for index rather the categories and then set posts non-index? Would be then posts in categories still index?

Cover my tracks / two websites on the same Analytics
Hi, I've got 2 websites and I like one of them to make some links to the other one. These two sites are on the same Google Analytics account. They have been set up 3 month ago and they have some articles on them. I've heard that Google can see that those websites are related in my Analytics and use this information to give less power to the link I could make between them. What do think about it and what do you recommend me ? Shoud I closed the Analytics account ? Or down one of the website and rebuilt it whith a different domain / host / analytics ? The thing is if I delete one of the website i'll be force to republish the articles, because there are links on it, and they're part of a deal I've already made. Thank you
