How many times to repeat the exact keyword?
-
I'm curious what the suggested number of times is for including an EXACT keyword in a document, OTHER than in the page title, h1 and alt text? What does SEOMoz advocate for this?
Bonus credit: What is the consensus on "stop words"? I've read the the search engines ignore these, yet searching for the same query with or without them produces vastly different results... So should they not always be included in one's keyword optimization, above?

I'm not a fan of trying to stuff with keywords, but I do try and make sure they are in the URL (not always possible), in the title, description and somewhere towards the top of the page - usually an H1 or title of some sort.
If you really must try and hit a percentage, don't ever try and go for more than about 4-5% (an an absolute max).
Google tell us that in the first part of the page they should get a feeling for what it is about...
So...
- Above the line - descriptive content
- Below the line - supporting content

webfeatseo is correct, don't try to stuff the keyword as that used to work a long time ago however things have changed a ton in the last few months. Jump out to Google Keyword Suggestion tool and pull a search up for that exact keyword you are wanting to try and rank for and then build a list of other related keywords that you can pull from to build with that you can build a theme based article that readers are going to understand and want to read.
Don't worry to much about how many times you use a word focus on the content you are writing. another good tool I found when writing articles is inboundwriter also SEOMOZ has a great tool that can help you analyze the page for accuracy called **On-Page Report Card **found on the http://www.seomoz.org/tools page.
I hope this helps.

use it naturally. i just write and dont go out of my way to stuff the keyword into the content in an unnatural way. however on a long page i would say no more than 10 times. and i mean a long page not just a couple paragraphs.
and stop words seem to depend on the context. some keywords naturally include stop words while others just have it in there depending on how a user types.
search engines will ignore to a degree

Unsolved Why did I stop ranking on a keyword and how will I rank on it again?
I often see in my campaigns, that keywords which ranked on a page between spot 1 to 5 on the SERP stop being ranked on that respective page, causing the website to be in the 5th page or worse on Google. I also see that the keyword is not linked to a page anymore. What causes this to happen and how can I solve this from happening in the future? Capture.PNG

Search Volume in Keyword Rankings Page
Is there a way to show search volumes for keywords in the Keyword Rankings tab page? A lot of times keywords we are ranking for are added to our campaign, and it would be very useful to see the search volumes within that grid. That way we could sort by the search volume and determine which keywords are worth targeting and optimizing for. I've had this ability with other software in the past and would be a great option for either Moz Pro version or the new Beta that is coming out. Which I'm still waiting for my invite BTW:)

Why do crawlers still track meta keywords if it is not needed in my site?
I have crawled three sites already and it returns more than 5000 errors most of which are MIssing Meta Keywords tags. The sites are on Wordpress and using my SEO plugin I can easily edit the meta keywords of each page, but I am having second thoughts. Well should I?

What period of time do OSE social media metrics represent?
When one hovers over the social media metrics in Open Site Explorer the popups say that the numbers represent the total number of times the URL has been posted, liked, tweeted or +1'd. Those numbers are [appear to be] more dynamic than the data in OSE's other reports and seem to get a fresh analysis each time the URL is entered. So I'm wondering what period of time is it counting in it's "total number of times" determination? If I'd like to track the data to get an idea of, say, total number of Facebook Shares for a one month period, how often should I check the numbers?

Campaign Manager Keyword Rankings all messed up???
My campaign in SEO Moz Campaign Manager has just ran it's weekly crawl, and all my keyword rankings are messed up. 18 keywords have apparently dropped by massive amounts, but when I do a physical search, they haven't moved. Also Keyword Tracker agrees with the physical search, so why is the Campaign Manager showing the wrong rankings all of a sudden??

Can I see search volumes against my keywords?
I love the keyword tracker tool on SEO Moz. However I can't work out how to see search volumes for each keyword. So while I know how I am ranking for each keyword.....I have to open a separate spreadsheet to see the local Google Monthly search volumes and then cross-refer the two, which is clumsy and time-consuming. Is there a way to amalgamate the two? It seems like such a major flaw that i'm sure its there, I can't work it out. Thanks all, Dan
