What's Angela/Paul link profile?
-
Hi,
Very new to this and appreciate your time to read and answer my question.
What's Angela/Paul link profile? and what should I look out for if someone is offering to provide this type of link building to me?
-
I'm with you...
If it's about branding then it's no use using SEO Link Vine.
However, if its just about links? then maybe SEO Link Vine can be considered, but with the questions you thrown about content that reads "think before you beverage"ra ra ra..., then SEO Link Vine couldn't be of a big help.
-
Their site talks about how they rely on content spinners. My question to you:
In three months, do you want to go to the trouble of tracking down sites linking to you with content that reads "think before you beverage" and "thank my deity" and ask them to remove the links?
There is no free lunch. There is no free content or endless quality free links. It's your choice, but I'd rather not have links than be a part of that network. I care too much about the reputation of my brand online to have stuff like that pointing to me.
-
Yes, thats the downside of SEO Link Vine. They helped my keywords rank on first page but nevertheless, I was also worried about their automation service.
-
SEO Link Vine looks like a blog link network similar to Build My Rank.
They advertise "How to get hundreds of thousands of high quality one-way links, taking your Google ranking from wherever it currently is, straight to page 1 over time."
And talk a lot about automation... free content.. etc. Install a piece of code and you're done.
Doesn't seem like something Google would recommend.

I am not sure if Angela Paul LInks today will still do any good for keyword SERP. I've tried them once way back 2010 but I bet the links really dont give any value, well they give value but not that much. Few are even just spam links.
Yes, it offered on Warrior Forum, someone name Tom Brite offer a package and will give you a hint on how to get angel paul links.
But i recommend SeoLinkVine instead.

Around SEOmoz, some of those types of link building tactics might get you the same type of response that a sales rep for Omaha Steaks might get at a vegan supermarket.
To think some people ask me why I spend so much time in the Q&A. I just need to bookmark Keri's response and that about says it all!
-
If you're looking on forums for opinions, you'll likely find that the opinions vary depending on the forum and the type of people that frequent each forum. I don't use Warrior Forum myself, but the people that go to that forum generally have a different viewpoint than the people who go to the SEOmoz forum. Around SEOmoz, some of those types of link building tactics might get you the same type of response that a sales rep for Omaha Steaks might get at a vegan supermarket.

Thanks Keri, I've reading a bit about and getting confusing messages. Some swear by its effectiveness and some say that it passes on a lot of spammy links.
I guess what I need is to read a lot more and keep asking questions from experts like you.
Cheers

If you search for Angela Paul backlinks you'll find info about a backlink building service. It's not usually of the type often recommended on the SEOmoz forums, but a search will tell you a little more about it.
Given that you're new to everything, I'd suggest reading through the Beginner's Guide to SEO at http://www.seomoz.org/beginners-guide-to-seo, especially the sections on links, and read blog posts here as well. It'll help give you an idea of what works and what are cheap shortcuts that may bite you.

Thanks Ryan, I appreciate it

I would urge extreme caution at having anyone else "build" links to your site. Many sites have been penalized for manipulative links. I suspect more sites will be penalized in the future.
I suspect "Angela paul" is either a misspelling or misunderstood phrase. There are many companies offering cheap link building services out of India, the Phillipines and other countries. Most of those services run in violation of search engine standards and you run a strong risk of being penalized.
-
Ok, someone offered to do some link building for me and when I asked how you would get the links, his answer was, "Angela paul type profile link and social bookmarking work".

Can you share any context for your question? It does not make any sense on its own.

Backlinks from different TLD's impact
Hi MOZ'ers, I'm wondering what the impact of different TLD backlinks is for same language pages. For example: we're on a website that has a German national TLD .de. We're earning backlinks and they are coming from .de as well as .ch (Switzerland) or .at (Austria) pages. What would be more desirable, and how big would you consider the difference? Looking forward to hearing your responses 🙂 Justen

How many links per week/month should a link building campaign acquire?
I am running a linkbuilding campaign for my company. I am mostly focusing on guest blogging opportunities and responding to emails from HARO. How many links would I have to acquire each week or month to be considered doing a good job over a 6 month or a year time period? Thank you,

What is a good ratio of total links to linking root domains?
Is 100 total links for every linking domain too high? I suppose I could also look at ratios of sites that are doing well in the rankings.

Footer Links And Link Juice
I'm starting to learn about link juice and notice in GWMT > Traffic > Internal Links, that the list is in this order by the links counted on each page. Some are in the footer and some are in the header, with some being more important than others commercially i.e. /register /privacy /terms /search /sitemap /disclaimer /blog /register So I am wondering if I should add a 'no-follow' attribute to the footer links i.e. privacy, terms, disclaimer and leave the others as they are? Does this help retain link juice on each page where the links appear? Or am I missing the point all together? This is my website: http://goo.gl/CN0e5

Where/should I post my press release/articles on my own website?
I have started a long-term article marketing campaign and press release distribution. I will have about 4 articles and press releases in total every month. Although the press releases will not be self-promotional, sometimes they will be talking about a certain product that we unveil. The question is, due to the high quality of these press releases, should I put them on my website as well as publish them on third party websites? If so, because they target a specific service/product which we already have a dedicated page on our website, wouldn't that put Google in the position of choosing between the two pages? I was thinking to put them on my blog and link internally from there with the keywords that I target on those pages as anchor text. The same question for articles. Any suggestions?

What's the difference between follow and nofollow links?
I understand this may be a really dumb question and from my understanding there is a piece of code in some url's that tell search engines not to follow that link. I am interested in finding out what the purpose of nofollow links are and how they apply to search rankings. Thanks for the help

How does Google interpret articles or prepositions in languages where it's attached to the (key)word?
Hi, All! This is for any foreign language SEOs where articles or prepostitions such as "the" "to" "in" or anything else are actually part of the word they are modifying and not a separate word, as in English: How does Google understand those words on-page and in anchor text? If you want to optimize for the word "house", and your content/anchor text says "the house" or "in the house" (again, all one word) - what does Google count that as? Does it count toward "house"? Does it count toward "in the house" only? Does it count toward "house" but not as much as if you had just put "house"? I end up sometimes writing slightly grammatically-off content because I want to optimize for the keyphrase - but is that necessary? Obviously different languages might be different, but you can probably project a little from one to the others. Thanks in advance!
