Client error 404
-
I have got a lot (100+) of 404´s. I got more the last time, so I rearranged the whole site. I even changed it from .php to .html. I have went to the web hotel to delete all of the .php files from the main server. Still, I got after yesterdays crawl 404´s on my (deleted) .php sites.
There is also other links that has an error, but aren't there. Maybe those pages were there before the sites remodelling, but I don't think so because .html sites is also affected.
How can this be happening?

I am using SEOMoz crawler and I am using Dreamwaever. it was Dreamwaever that didn´t do its job. It was supposed to change in all of the documents but of some reason jumped over, not all, but some files.
In other words. All ok with me.
Sorry.

Hi Tobias - how are you checking 404s, are you using SEOMoz crawl diagnostics?
If so, export the CSV! Many people dont do this yet there is a plethora of info there.
- Open the csv, and sort by the "4xx" column so that all of the 'TRUE' cell values are at the top.
- Delete / Hide / Move all columns except: URL, 4xx, TIME CRAWLED and REFERRER
Now you can see which URLs are 404,'ing, how the crawl found them (where the link is that sent the crawler there) and what time it crawled (in case youve fixed it since.
Its easy and its thorough.

Quest about 404 Errors
About two months ago, we deleted some unnecessary pages on our website that were no longer relevant. However, MOZ is still saying that these deleted pages are returning 404 errors when a crawl test is done. The page is no longer there, at least that I can see. What is the best solution for this? I have a page that similar to the older page, so is it a good choice to just redirect the bad page to my good page? If so, what's the best way to do this. I found some useful information searching but none of it truly pertained to me. I went around my site to make sure there were no old links that directed traffic to the non existent page, and there are none.

Should I migrate clients site to older established domain?
I have a new client who had a domain that was established in 2004. About six months ago they moved their site over to a new domain and redirected the old domain to the new one. Their pagerank on the new domain is 1, and I can not find any historical data on the older domain. Would it be beneficial to move the site back to the old domain assuming that it had a higher pagerank? And is there a way to find out what the pagerank of the old site was before the redirect?

Have a client whose name is Scott Gable and his profession is photography
When I do a search for Scott Gable (just his name) google comes up like this (without the sitelinks): http://chrle.us/MGer When I add photography to the search query it comes up like this (with the sitelinks structured below) http://chrle.us/MHXy is his name that common that the full sitelinks wouldn't appear below it on the scott gable search? Would 301 redirecting scottgablephotography.com to scottgable.com help fix this?

Redirecting 404
Hi. I'm working on a wordpress site, which got some old deleted pages indexed and now shows a 404 (also in the results) As these old pages earlier got content and probably also some links pointing towards it, what would then be best practice to do? Should i make an 301 redirect? Make the 404 noindex?

Help with bing redirection error
Can somebody help me figure out this bing redirect error. The link to "http://w******/flea-control" has resulted in HTTP redirection to "http://w******/feas/flea-control/".Search engines can only pass page rankings and other relevant data through a single redirection hop. Using unnecessary redirects can have a negative impact on page ranking. I am using wordpress. I am actually linking to the /feas/flea-control/ version. I have looked every where for help. I got this error using bings seo toftware
