Hi,
Another option would be a payed tool, it is called Ontolo.
Although it has quite some price, but it helps a lot.

You might find this post from Scott Mclay posted today quite helpful on this link.
The most often used techniques by us include:
- Open site explorer: studying the link profiles of our competitors
- Advanced Search Operators as mentioned by Scott and referenced in this link
- Researching blogging opportunities with related industry sites.Quite often we have seen that a lot of chamber of commerce sites are very open to having members contribute content for their site and they dont mind if you add a link to your site in your author bio or the post.
- Top 10 list related to the client's vertical. These kinds of posts are always interesting and fun to read and attract lots of sites wanting to share it with their visitors

Hi Matchonce,
Finding quality authority backlinks is no easy thing. For starters, do a bit of research in your niche and find out who the top sites are. You could then contact each one and perhaps offer a guest blog post so you could receive a link from then. OR if you have awesome (and relevant) content on your own website, you could let them know about it, and receive a link as well in return.
Also, you can use Open Site Explorer (http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/) to find out what links your competitors may have. Export them into a CSV, sort out the bad ones and get started :).
Good luck!

Link from Gizmodo disappeared from Open Site Explorer
Hi, I have been using OSE to check competitor links, DA, PA etc. And recently noticed that an author at Gizmodo was kind enough to link us to a blog post of his. This is great news as Gizmodo has a DA of 94 and a PA of 50 (Which is pretty big compared to our DA of 30 and PA of 42). The link to the post is here: http://gizmodo.com/5956401/everything-you-need-for-the-best-trick+or+treating-house-in-the-neighborhood And the link to our website is: http://www.electromarket.co.uk/lighting-effects/lighting-effects/strobe/ffa0144 It was showing on OSE for the past few days but now it has vanished and it is showing channel5 (TV Channel in the UK) as the highest DA linking to us, which is still pretty good. But I just want to know why the link has stopped displaying on OSE 😞 Any help or insight is appreciated! Tom

403 error for a member site
Perhaps a stupid question but SEOmoz registers 403 errors for pages behind a membersite (ie. they are restricted on purpose). Should I noindex these pages or just let SEOmoz register these "errors"?

How do I see all links to my site in Web Explore?
It appears that the Web Explore looks for exact matches to a page. I'd like to see all matches to any page. Will regular expressions work?

I'm seeing duplicate links listed in open site explorer. Can anyone explain why this might be happening?
For each link listed in Open Site Explorer, I am seeing two identical entries. You can see why this might be a problem for both workflow and data accuracy. Any ideas why this might be happening? Is there a setting or filter that I'm missing?

No follow Internal Links
Hello, I am comparing my site with my competitors. According to Open Site Explorer, my site has 541 internal follow links, and a total of 1,286 total internal links, implying I have 745 no follow internal links. I tried to drill into these internal no follow links using the "Inbound Links" report in OSE. But I'm receiving an error stating that No Data is Available for this URL. Does anyone have any insight to this? I'd really like to understand where those no follow links are coming from. Thanks in advance. eh70

How Can I Find All Backlinks
How can I use site explorer to find out which sites are linking to us thousands of times. It says we have over 300,000 total links pointing to our site. I'm thinking there are some sitewide links from other site(s) making up most of that, but I can't seem to locate it/them?

How do I find the most linked to page of a site?
I'm looking at a site for a potential link and am trying to find the most linked to page. The SEOmoz toolbar tells me the root domain (DA) is linked to by 660 root domains but the main URL (PA) is linked to by 38 root domains. I used open site explorer and got the same # of 38 root domains in the result. From the Top Pages tab, I clicked on the 2nd page down and the SEOmoz toolbar gives me 189 root domains linking to that page (PA). Then I ran a Linkscape report to see what that would say and I get 146 linking root domains. 1. Is this 2nd page down on OSE the most linked to page? 2. a. Is something off in these numbers?

b. How come OSE/Linkscape doesn't report the 660 root domains in the DA?0
