What is the best way to share good content (and help myself in the process)
-
i spend a decent amount of my spare time browsing quora, stumbleupon, google reader, pulse, etc keeping up with all the different aspects of internet marketing
when i come across a particuarly valuable piece of content i take a few seconds and share it using hootsuite on my linked, twitter, facebook (i spread them out so there is only one post a day)
this rewards those who write valuable content but im not doing anything to benefit my site - www.sawwebmarketing.com
im establishing myself as somebody who has good stuff to share to my potential clients.... what a quick, easy way to share the high quality things i come across that will create links for me as well? (short of writing my own blog post listing the high quality articles i found with my thoughts on each)
thoughts? opinions?
thanks everybody!

I find social outreach is the best plan of action for back links. I usually find a good article (usually from an author with active social presence) , copy the best paragraph from said article and then do a write up quoting from that article. Once written, then tweet, post (google +, Facebook, ect) the author. Saying you have done write up on them and to come check you out. Build a relationship and hopefully you will get linkin return.
Rand and Ruth Burr have done some good videos on the topic:

Hope this helps.

Hi,
I am also doing the same with my blog and Social media. I share articles I find interesting on Twitter. As you are establishing yourself as someone who shares good stuff, maybe you can throw in one or two articles of yours, generate some traffic and let others people learn more about your website. Furthermore, people would appreciates that you share their stuff and might follow you on Social Media platforms and if you do throw in some of your articles in the mix, people who followed you might do you a favor and share your articles or link to it.
I think what you are doing will help benefit you in the future as you are establishing your own image.

What Does Your "Campaign" Process Look Like?
Hey Moz Community!! Looking to get a broader view of your own "campaign" process after the initial audit and fixes/implementation of recommendations with a new client. What do you look for/target first? What type of actions/deliverable items do you take have to start optimizing? Hoping to add to and/or improve my own process and see how everyone else plans and implements a campaign! Thanks!! 🙂

Duplicate Content
I have a TLD .com and 3 microsites in different regions with the specific ccTLDs. The structure is the same and most of the content is the same. Does Google regard this as duplicate content?

Same Content or New Content?
Hi Everyone, Hope everyone is doing good. Well, thanks to the input of many people (experts) on this site I have almost arrived at where I want to be, even better than that....I am almost there with confidence because of all the input received from this site. So what have I done? I have redesigned a static website to WordPress, I decided t keep the old link structure which is suffixed .html, and to use redirects if needed. I also swithed hosting service providers to noe that carries htaccess. My last question, well probably not, is do I use the same content from the same pages on the old website to the new, or do i create new content, It is a local service business, new content would not be a problem, however, our current content seems to be ranking well with the old site though. In summary, should I change the content of the new site so "Duplicate Content" does not arise? Should I leave transdfer the content to the new site to maintain on page SEO that has been ranking me good thus far? As Always, any and all input is really appreciated! -jimmy

What's a good host for wordpress?
I've been using A2Hosting.com for a few years and am looking for something more reliable and better tech support. I've looked at WP Engine, but would like something less expensive or someone to convince me that it's worth the cost I have 10 domains using Wordpress (clients sites) that need hosting. What are your recommendations, and what would be the ideal set up?

Help! I need to hire a SEO / SEM Specialist - Am I asking for too much?!
Hey all! I'm expanding my in-house marketing team and I need to add an SEO / SEM Specialist that will strategize, execute & manage the following: Organic SEO PPC across multiple channels (Google, Bing & also social sites like Facebook) Remarketing & Display marketing Banner ads Retargeting We're a lean company that's all about doing more with less. But not being very familiar with the SEO / SEM world I'm afraid I'm asking for too much! What do you guys think? What's your experience been? If you do think that this is potentially a single position, what would be the best title for attracting talent? SEO / SEM Specialist? Digital Marketing Manager? With the research I've done - jobs / titles have been totally across the board! I'm not able to find much consistency. Thank you all for your help 🙂 It's greatly appreciated!!!!!

Does stolen content matter anymore?
About 3 months ago, someone copied almost all of my content (format and all) changing only the site name and links. Of course, I was horrified and immediately tried a DMCA but the guy is hosted in Czech Rep so it turn into a pain in the butt. Long story short, the stolen content is still up. I figured eventually I would see a hit for the duplicate content but so far, absolutely nothing. Same rankings, same everything; best thing is, his site doesn't appear to even be on Google. My question is, does stolen content still matter anymore? I thought it used to be a huge problem, and I read posts and such of blog owners who have fretted over the consequences to their beloved site. It seems like Google figured out that since that content was on my site for the past year, I must be the original owner. They might have even blacklisted the other site; can't find them by typing in their domain anymore.
