Hi Juana
I honestly haven't seen rel = tag being used much.
Here's the documentation on it. Here are examples of it being used on live sites.
My understanding of it through reading those, are it should only be used for links pointing to or relating to actual tags. Like /tag/ is in the URL etc.
I don't think a misuse will penalize you at all, but I'm not sure it will do anything either, unless they are actually tag pages or link.
Hope that helps!

I think you're doing it right but:
- you should try to be consistent throughout the site. In your blog for example you dind't appended the rel=tag attribute to the links to your tags (try with the escotilla tag). You may use it everywhere or nowhere imo
- moreover, even if you did that right you won't be safe from any penalty, maybe you're safe with this possibl eissue but this fix won't save you from other possible issues you may have like dupe content, or shallow pages or heavy low quality bad linking (i don't know if it's your case, just listing a couple of them)
Having said that I've never used that kind of tag, I think that google is smart enough to recognize you navigation + categories + tags. If you build your site architecture correctly, this tag may help but you should be ok anyway.

Tracking down rel="canonical" on Wordpress site
A rel="canonical" is being added to every page and post on my Wordpress site - not tag results, not category results. Not a major problem, right? Except that I don't know where it's coming from. I've tried tracking it down - change the theme back to a default one, turn off all the plugins - it's still there. Is it coming from .htaccess perhaps? The only issue it is causing is that it has causes me to have to turn off the canonical option in Platinum SEO as that was resulting in two identical rel=canon on each page. It doesn't seem to be causing problem but I'd like to get a better understanding of what it going on.

My target keyword is "moringa powder" but my product title is "moringa ultimate original powder". Is this a problem?
The focus keyword is "moringa powder". The product title and default H1 tag is "moringa ultimate original powder". The url also has "moringa ultimate original powder". Yoast is saying the keyword does not appear in the url or any subheadings. So should I change the product title and url to Original Ultimate moringa powder or is having them separated ok? https://greenvirginproducts.com/product/moringa/150-gram-moringa-ultimate-original-powder/ Thanks

Title-Tag question
The Yoast plugin is installed on the website. It generates the following meta property tag when I enter a new title-tag in the plugin: Next to that I have my standard title-tag. <title>dummy</title> Is this meta property tag able to replace the title-tag? Thanks!

[HTML Gurus] Is the only nofollow = rel="nofollow"?
From my knowledge only way an HTML link is nofollow is using rel="nofollow". I was wondering if you have a link , is there anything you can put OTHER than rel="nofollow" within the <a></a>tags that make a link nofollow?

Rel canonical tag back to the same page the tag is on?
Very simple, Why would a website (and I have seen tons doing this) link the rel canonical tag back to the same page the tag is on? Example: somepage.htm has a canonical tag linking to somepage.htm I thought the idea of this tag was to tell google if 2 pages are similar, this page is the original, and it's this page which should be indexed and the page with the tag on should pass all PR to the original. Maybe im wrong and someone can help me out to understand this.
