Does the Traffic boost SEO/SERP ranks?
-

I know a guy that sells Organic traffic, bought 10k from him, will this help me to bost google seo ranks?
Attached a screenshoot

If you are selling blue widgets then you really only want people that are looking for blue widgets, no use directing people who are not interested. As for ranking No, it will not help.
What does help is and sort of related, is clicks from search engines, Bing and now Google track users that use the search engine in the way that. If a user goes to Bing or Google and searches for blue widgets and clicks on result #1, then returns and clicks on #2, and does not return, then that is a signal that #2 is a better result for the search term. if this happens enough then #2 will replace #1.

The very first thing that I would ask the traffic seller is about the referrer information of the traffic. Have seen many of the traffic sellers online and used many of them for SEO experiments. Almost all of the cheaper ones drive traffic from PTC or PPV ad networks, some of them spoof the referrer information to look like coming from organic searches.
To cut short the story, traffic like like will be of no use if not harmful (which it can be sometimes) from an SEO standpoint as this traffic will be almost all the time stale and is of no use. Would like to mention that the bounce rate of these types of traffic can be sometimes very impressive and looks very legit. This might be because of the ad networks' rules as to earn credit, they visitor should be on the page for so and so time and should browse at least so and so number of pages before exiting.
I have also seen that such traffic can be used to improve the Alexa Rank in many cases. Other than this, I have not seen any considerable advantages related to these kind of traffic sold by many so called traffic sellers online (the cheaper ones). Forgot to mention that most of these traffic will look either "direct" or some ad server's IP or host name in web analytics.
Best regards,
Devanur Rafi.

I don't see how this could be beneficial to your site in any way.
- More traffic will not increase your rankings in search engines. Google frowns upon paying for links - so they would certainly dislike you paying for traffic.
- The traffic you bought will likely be bots or people who were scammed into clicking a link. These people will probably not be the kind of traffic you are looking for, and your bounce rate will be close to 100%.
I would be extremely careful buying services like this. Any black-hat or paid link-building scheme out there that go against Google's guidelines could potentially harm your rankings.

Short answer: no.
Long answer requires more info.
- I can't see any attachment, that would be interesting to see.
- Where is the traffic from?
- How does the traffic get to your site?
- How does the traffic perform on your site?

Substantial drop in organic traffic and keyword rankings
My client's organic traffic has been on the decline ever since January of 2015. We suspected it had to do with some spammy link farm pointing to his site. We disavowed those links in August 2015. Still, we are seeing huge drop offs in rankings and organic traffic. I am at a loss of what to do. Are we being penalized by Google for some reason? Has this happened to anyone else? If so, how did you remedy? Feel free to ask my any more questions if you more information. KDc8dMp fyVtrYo

HELP: What happened to my rankings? No warning from google how to know if i was penalised?
Hi Guys I have just completely a site re-design, I have 3 top level domains. I have no idea whats causing the drop in ranking. I have changed the title tags and meta tags to improve them and make them better, as the last ones weren't really doing us justice. But I see now it has actually dropped our main keyword. I read somewhere that i had to completed **site search **to check and I don't see our home page showing. I was ranking for the keyword: "online psychics" for over 4months at #6 and now is not showing anywhere in the top 50 keywords. I'm also affraid I can not find our other keyword "online psychic readings" which we were ranked #11 seems to have dropped to #44 I have no idea why this would be the case. Our new home page shows a better user experience and also added more content, unqiue content at that - our last design was content thin so I have no idea why we have dropped so much in rankings. The site is also new about 6months new. I have checked WMT and have not received any warnings of any penalties as such, unless it is still coming? Does anyone have any suggestions here? Cheers

How do I make a content calendar to increase my rank for a key word?
I've watched more than a few seminars on having a content calendar. Now I'm curious as to what I would need to do to increase ranking for a specific keyword in local SEO. Let's say I wanted to help them increase their rank for used trucks in buffalo, NY. Would I regularly publish blog posts about used trucks? Thanks!

Site dropping in rank even through there are more backlinks being added
Hello, One of my client's sites is ranking lower than he should. This happened when we took off backlinks (20 little blogs, several site-wide paid links. It really dropped the site, but it had to be done. Since then we've increased his # of root domains by 10% through white hat link building in his non-competitive niche, and rankings are still poor. I know that's not much in the way of added backlink value, but we're working on it. My question is, how have the recent (and coming) updates possibly effected us. We want to take the remaining problem areas off right away, but another drop in traffic is not a good idea. Even though the blogs (see below) have no backlinks of themselves, they cause drops when taken off) He still has -20 little blog backlinks w/ a quarter of them being exact match anchor text.

-1 sitewide paid link - an image, exact match alt tag anchor text
-1 non-site-wide paid links that is an image near the footer, exact match alt tag anchor text.
-3 links on a domain, this one looks fairly editorial, but there are a bunch of paid links on that page. Changing to non-exact-match anchor text
-2 links on two domains that look completely editorial with no other paid links on that page. non-exact-match anchor text -70 backlinks total with about 1/3 being problematic. How does this site look in regards to updates and when to take links off without tanking our site even more? Thanks.0 -
Seo back linking proposal review
Hi guys, below is a proposal i received from someone on freelancer.com for some seo building. Is this really all it takes? Obviously done overtime but basically is this it aside from the usual basics onsite keywords, urls, artciles, content etc. This is a the proposal for $250 (some are cheaper but almost the same details as below). This is one of the top seo people on freelancers.com and they all have good reviews. Is this basically it? Shell out $100 bucks or more a month to someone who will just post stuff all over the internet. It just seems all very simple, what is $100 bucks a month to stay at #1. Is there any real questions i should ask to make sure i am not just throwing my money away? How to run SEO tests you don't want to be associated with
A client has a competitor who is ranking above them for a highly competitive term they shouldn't really be able to rank for. I think I know how the site got there, and I think I can replicate it myself with a quick test, but it's definitely grey hat if not black hat to do so. I do not want my own sites and company to be damamged by the test, but i'd like to let the client know for sure, and also i'd love to know myself. The test should take about a week to run, there is no hacking involved or password stealing or anything damaging to another. How would you do such a test? I'm dubious about using my own server / site for it, but would a week really matter? Tom

Can someone explain how a site with no DA, links or MozTrust, MozRank can rank #1 in the SERPs?
I do SEO for a legal site in the UK and one of the keywords I'm targeting is 'Criminal Defence Solicitors'. If you search this term in Google.co.uk this site comes top www.cdsolicitors.co.uk, yet in my mozbar it has 0 links, 0 DA etc, I noticed it top a few weeks ago and thought something spammy was going on; I thought if I was patient, Google would remove it, however it still hasn't. Can someone explain how it is top in the SERPs? I've never seen this before. thanks
