Keyword Spy Source?
-
We've got a few backlinks from Keyword Spy and Keyword Spy Pro.
I'm pretty sure of the answer but I'll ask it anyway.
Is there any way to determine who's doing the snooping?
Are there any signals to look for while clicking back through the link "crumbs" that might tell me something of interest or value?

Unfortunately I don't think there's much value to be gained. These services are pretty tight about protecting user privacy. And, this is a totally horrible observation to make, I've found that the majority of people "spying" on me really don't know what they are doing. There are exceptions of course, but I find it's better to look ahead than over my shoulder

Domain Authority important if we pursue longtail non-competitive keywords?
Hi, We currently have a relatively low DA score of 26. We have been working to increase it but of course it takes time. We are starting to adapt our approach and rank for non-competitive, long-tail keywords. If our DA is very low, will this affect our longtail keyword ranking even though there is very little competition for those? Thanks

How to track keywords for cities right next to each other?
Should I track the same keywords for multiple cities that are right next to each other (there's about 10 cities in a 30 mile radius that the business services)? Or if the website ranks for a keyword in one city, will it automatically rank the same way in the city right next to it?

I need a free hosted keyword monitoring tool to monitor several thousand keywords. It would also be beneficial to have domain monitoring also for monitoring competitors. All ideas very welcome...

What Constitutes Keyword Stuffing?
Greeting MOZ Community: I have been attempting to add certain keywords phrases to the home page text of our real estate web site (www.nyc-officespace-leader.com). When I check the keyword density and look at the keyword cloud, the frequency of certain terms appear substantially higher than they should be (see attached keyword cloud and keyword density chart. Â Certain terms like "office space" have a 5 or 6% frequency which seems high. Last thing we need is a Panda penalty. When I viewed the code for the home page (see enclosed), I noticed HREF tags, SRE tags and ALT tags repeating certain keyword phrases, driving up their density. I have attached a keyword cloud for the home page of a competitor and the use of language seems more diverse. Does Google take the text in these various tags into account? I know the ALT tag is important for SEO, but how about the others? Does the use of text in the tags for this page make the overall page look spammy? Also, there are text and tags for the carousel in the home page that appear in the code for the home page. If this code were somehow concealed, would we be better off from an SEO perspective? Thanks, Alan pkM7CZG 1DFFMZ0

What keywords should my main page contain ?
Hello. I have a domain with scripts and components for websites, each product page is somehow different and contains different phrases and keywords, for example: a) Flash Photo Gallery
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | adrianTNT
b) JavaScript Menu
c) Flash Menu
d) PHP Rating Script
e) PHP Poll script It's kind of clear for me how to optimize keywords on these pages individually, Â but what would be best content / terms / keywords to use on my main page and main page title and anchor text to my root domain? Should it be a mix of all these keywords mentioned above ? Or is it better to be a general term like "website scripts" ?0 -
When to write long content on a general informational keyword: Ecommerce
Hello, Say you sell barbecue grills. When would it be appropriate to write a "Complete guide to Barbecuing" that offers everything: background, recipes, statistics, products, etc? The barbecue niche actually is better suited for a complete guide than my client's niche. My client doesn't sell barbecue grills but he is in a niche that doesn't have hardly any traffic to specific information. He's thinking of writing an article about the most general keyword directly in his niche, "A Complete Guide to X". Right now his Ecommerce home page is on page 17 for this keyword, it's competitive, and last year G Analytics showed 700 page views while on page 17. It would cover a lot more information than the barbecue example with heavy authority as competition. The article would be about 4000 words. There's nothing that complete out there but, again, there's a few very authoritative sources to compete against that we'd never outrank. We'd try to make it best-of-the-web. We're looking to get natural backlinks. We might do outreach but a more specific guide might work better for outreach, which we're also writing. Should he do this as one of his 5 articles for the site?
