Where do the Facebook star ratings come from?

I have a client whose FB page has a 5 star rating (apparently from 5 reviews) but I have no clue from where they are aggregated? I tried Google-ing for answers with no luck!
Any idea?

I don't think it's THAT surprising. The 41 fans are probably real fans so a few of them may have taken a second to hit a button and give them a rating.
I felt the same was as you at first when we had almost 2000 ratings with just under 22,000 fans. Especially since most of my competitors had less reviews and more fans. Other people have suggested to me that the difference is that our fans are "real fans", as in we earned them and that a few of my competitors have "bought fans", which are unlikely to offer any real value and rating.

Facebook at times asks people to review, especially if its just a star rating from a user it just takes 1 click. With this understanding its very likely actually.

Hmmm..are we sure they aren't tying in any third party reviews? My client has 5 reviews and only 41 "likes"...seems unlikely, right? (Also none have comments etc. and you can't find them anywhere on the page aside from the star rating)

Ken is on the spot, if the reviewers just click the start rating when they are prompted for a review. The start rating will show up with no review displayed, however if a person leaves an actual text review along side the star rating. The reviews will show up in the top right just like Ken attached!

If the reviewer leaves a comment about the review, you can see it in the reviews section of their facebook page. I have attached a sample from our facebook page to give you to see.

For location pages, Facebook users can give the location a star rating on their page (if you visit the page, you should see it on the right hand column). Facebook will also prompt users to rate places they've visited in the right sidebar. I'm not aware of anywhere you can go to view the reviews, it just appears as a star review at the top of the page.

Is there a Facebook Ad equivalent to Google MCC?
Hi Mozzers, Really unsure if we are missing something here, but whilst trying to set-up paid ads for some of our clients on FB we have run into a significant issue. We need to be able to allow FB to debit multiple business accounts for varying ads on different pages. However every time we try to access the ads manager to set-up a new ad, FB takes us to the individuals (the person logged in to the page) account, rather than creating an ad account for that page/business individually. What are we missing? We use Google MCC for managing our PPC campaigns and so wondered if there is anything similar we can use for FB? Or any other recommendations on how to get round this without dragging each client into the office and asking them to log-in so that we can set these up? Thanks!

Can we create regional pages on Facebook?
Hi, Our business spans across many countries and in order to maintain brand consistency, we were contemplating to create regional fan pages on Facebook. The structure would be like parent-child relation i.e. one main page and other regional pages. Is it possible? We searched for it but could't find something concrete except that in 2012 Facebook was testing similar concept. Regards

What do you do when your Facebook page is Unpublished?
The page in question has been there for about 5 years and has about 80 followers. It is for a business that sells steel plate (B2B) and everything is totally compliant with Facebook T&C as far as I can tell. It's been unpublished with the statement "Your Page has been unpublished and it cannot be published again." We did an appeal about 6 weeks ago and heard absolutely nothing.... Generally we got no likes, no comments and reached about 20 people with each post. So I am lost as to why we were banned and lost as to what we do next It's fine if they want to unpublish - it's their site - what's frustrating is the arbitrariness, the lack of information as to why it was banned and lack of communication. Facebook doesn't "read" pages: 206 responsecode: Could not retrieve data from URL
Hello, Since shortly, every page of our website ecoheating.be doesn't get "read" by Google. So when you paste a page in Facebook, he doesn't get the title, description, image... FB Debugger says there's a 206 Error code (check attachment). A lot of changes are done the last weeks on this site so perhaps something is misconfigured. But what could this be? Tool like Followerwonk for Facebook?
Hi For Twitter using Followerwonk you can gauge the influence on what a person/brand is using a tool like Follwerwonk helping you find the most influential twitter users based on a number of metrics. But is there a similar tool for Facebook which shows which brands/companies Facebook sites have the most influence. Or is the best way to gauge this is just on their number of likes? which is not really accurate

Has anyone else noticed a dramatic drop in Facebook post impressions?
One of the clients I manage has over 5,000 Facebook fans. Whenever I'd make a post, it usually would get ~700-1,000 impressions. About two weeks ago I did my first promoted post. Ever since then, all the regular posts I've done have only gotten ~100 impressions . . . out of 5,325! I'm wondering if Facebook, once learning that you are willing to pay for promoted posts, secretly lowers your impression count so that you will pay for promoted posts more often, or if the timing of my promoted post was just a coincidence, and everyone started to see a decrease about two weeks ago. Does anyone know what's going on?
