I want to uninstall the Moz SEO toolbar. How do I do this?
-
I installed the Moz toolbar and I don't understand it and it covers up important parts of websites and makes them inaccessible. I want to get it off my computer. I installed it in chrome. How do I get it off?
-
Hi Bonnie, Linda and Justin are absolutely right. You can follow their instructions to uninstall the toolbar permanently.
If, however, you'd like to be able to temporarily disable it, you can toggle it on and off using a keyboard shortcut: Cmd + Option + Control + M on OSX, Shift + Ctrl + Alt + M on Windows. You can also toggle it on and off by clicking on it's bookmark icon.
For a good overview of what you can do with the Moz Toolbar, as well as how to configure it to meet your needs, check out the video at http://moz.com/help/guides/research-tools/mozbar. Best of luck!

I actually ended up installing it on my home computer as well as my work computer--I find that I have come to rely on it as a quick-and-dirty gauge of the quality of the website I am visiting...
-
LindaLV is right. Here are some screenshots to help you out.
1. Expand the hamburger menu. Then navigate to Tools > Extensions (#1 attachment)
2. Either disable or delete the Moz toolbar. (#2 attachment)
That said, I recommend leaving it installed. I don't use it terribly often, but then there are those times that it comes in really helpful. So for most of my browsing, I leave it disabled. If you find it's covering up content while you're browsing, you can just click the toolbar icon to disable it and make it inactive. That's how I browse most of the time. (#3 attachment)

In your chrome browser, there is a little "hamburger menu" on the top right (three horizontal lines, stacked).
Click that, go to tools > extensions and you should be able to delete it there.
ps- What do you find that it covers up?

Does data-bind hurt SEO?
sleepcountry.ca uses Oracle Commerce Cloud which uses Knockout data-binds syntax to attach events to DOM elements like this (A <a id="s0207useresourcesinwidgets01"></a>Knockout custom binding named ‘widgetLocaleText’ - I am not familiar this technology stack): Same applies to H1 tag - you can't find H1 tag in Source. In short, the text binding causes the associated DOM element to display the text value of your parameter. Data binding is applied to all DOM elements on pages of sleepcountry.ca even that this technique doesn't pass W3C markup validation: Error: Element title must not be empty. MOZ reports that all H1 Tags are missing on ALL PAGES of the site. Same is reported by Semrush and other respected services. However, it seems like Google automatically adds tagging to all data-bind(ed) elements including Title! site:sleepcountry.ca I'm no expert in Oracle Commerce Cloud or Knockout, but I'm confused.

QUESTION: Does this data-bind hurt organic search and if it does, why Google still sees all TITLES while Moz and other services report it as a major problem - titles are missing. ? Thank you so much in advance! (I'm not an SEO expert but this problem might be related to my project)0 -

✓Thin Content - Every webpage on website has more than 500 words content
✓External Links in Navigation - There is no external link in navigation other than social media links
✓No Contact Info - The proper address has alreay been placed on website footer

Moz Keyword Tool Monthly Volume
Ive recently put together a Keyword List of about 100 keywords on the Moz Keyword Explorer tool. One keyword, aerial filming, stood out as very low search volume of 51 - 100. I took the same 100 keywords and passed them through the Google Keyword Planner by Google AdWords. Aerial Filming has an average search volume of 1k - 10k according to the Keyword Planner. Even though Keyword Planner gives me a range of 1k - 10k, the lowest number is still 10 times higher than what the Moz Keyword Explorer was indicating. This drastic difference of volume was consistent across all 100 keywords. All of the Monthly Volume numbers were divided by 10. Why does Moz Keyword Tool display a search volume that is 10x less than what Google Keyword Planner is suggesting?

Moz crawler only crawls one page?!
Hello there, I'm using Moz for a while and I'm very pleased with the tool and community. But for the first time I encountered a problem. We are trying to run a crawler for a client's website but only one page (only the homepage) was crawled. We tried to do a test on a more detailed level (maybe there is something wrong with the homepage). My campaign test's crawl came back for the Producten folder (level deeper than homepage), and it was also only a 1 page crawl with a 200 status. I did look at the robots.txt file now, and it is very restrictive, but there is nothing that I can clearly see that would explain why the crawl isn't working. Hopefully someone can point us at the right direction. Thanks in advance, Jeremy

Moz Bar Not Showing DA?
Hello all, This could be something to do with our site or the Moz bar on Chrome, I just need to know which it is so if it is our website we can look into it further. On certain sections of our website the Moz bar doesn't display any Domain Authority, not even zero, the bar just isn't present. These types of pages are php which pull in data through a feed daily. Speaking to an SEO expert they said it could be where the page is being updated so frequently, or it could be something more sinister and technically not quite right. Does anyone have any ideas? Is the Moz bar just not working for these types os pages or is it more likely something to do with my site? Ironically it's these pages which I'm having trouble with that are not showing in SERPs! Thanks! 3Foorka
