Is there a way to track visitors that watched my video on YouTube and became a direct visitor to my website after the fact?

I am trying to understand the impact my commercials are having on website beyond just the clicks I get from YouTube as a referring site. Google is telling me there is not a way to track users that have viewed a video. I am trying to think outside of the box to figure out a way to use the remarketing cookie to my advantage. Google says there is not a way to track a user that watched a video and then eventually came to my site. But at the same time the "Earned Views" metric is similar to what I am trying to accomplish. As per Google, "An earned view occurs when someone who views your video ad and then watches another video or videos in a linked YouTube channel within 7 days of the ad view." So I want to be able to apply this same method to people that view my video ad and then surface on my website eventually. Please let me know your thoughts on this and if there is a way to accomplish this goal. Thank you

Don't forget to create a new profile view so you don't sku the data in your default view.

While I appreciate your quest for data, I'm not sure you can use the same technique described above unless you can convince Google/Youtube to set a cookie for you.
You'd think you could just look for YouTube's cookie whenever someone visits your site, but that isn't possible:

How to track offline conversions
What are the best ways to track offline conversions that have come directly from paid ads such as Adwords? Say for example, John searches for 'luxury armchair' and clicks on one of our ads and is directed to the landing page that sells the luxury armchair. John then calls us and completes the transaction over the phone. How do we know that the advertising channel is responsible for that transaction without physically asking the customer? I know Google provide free forwarding phone numbers which can be provided in the Ads, but if they call us from the phone number we list on the website there is no way of tracking down that exact sale? Google mentions something to do with providing a unique ID, called a "GCLID" but I'm not familiar with this or how it works. Any advice is much appreciated.

How to track in Google Analytics 2 different subdomains (one for website, the other for PPC landing pages)
Hello Mozers! I have a website with organic visits/goals on www.site.com and a few AdWords Campaign landing pages on lp.site.com whose goals are tracked with both adwords conversion monitoring AND analytics (not imported from analytics into Adword). The landing pages of the campaign have nothing to do with the web site (different cms, they don't link each other, totally isolated) and viceversa. Given that, what would it be the best practice to configure Google Analytics to track the website (www.site.com) AND a PPC campagin (lp.site.com)? How can i track keywords of Google Product Listing Ads in Google Analytics
I have thousands of products in my feed to Google Shopping (Google Merchant Center). I have also set utm source, medium and campaign in URL. I have integrated my Google Adwords(With Auto Tagging) with my Google Merchant Center. My Question is, I can see campaign in google analytics but inside campaign i am not able to see keywords (From which those click are being received) I wonder to know that does anyone can help me to track Product Listing Ads keywords in Google Analytics. Google Adwords Conversion Tracking - Recording Wrong Page
Hi Guys I have a problem with my Google Adwords conversion tracking. Basically whenever I check to see which page it is recording, it shows me the incorrect one. Now I probably checked a thousand time now and the conversion tracking code is not on this specific page, but is on the one that I really want to track. I have also checked that the code is correct and that there is nothing missing. But strangely enough when I look at historical data, it does show that is was tracking conversions on the correct page, but for some reason the past couple of weeks it's reporting conversions from another page, which is the incorrect one. If somebody could please give me some insight as to what could maybe be the cause of this, I would appreciate it. Thank You Dave

Analytics: Goal Tracking
I am trying to track goals in Google Analytics for a website that has the same goal URL for main website and various sub-domains. The main domain for example is: mymaindomain.com and the sub-domain are my1st.subdomain.com, my2nd.subdomain.com, etc. but the Goal URL is same for all the sub-domains and main domain, i.e. mymaindomains.com/pay/thanks.html. I have Google Analytics configured to track domains and all sub-domains and I’ve already setup the goal for each sub-domain and even created the funnel as well for each sub-domain. However, in goal tracking, it always shows “0”. I am also looking forward to get some help to set up an advanced filter so I can see traffic to my sub-domains in Analytics. Thanks!

Preparation of website before Submitting to Paid Directories?
I am reading that submitting to premium directories is a good way to get a jumpstart on SEO rankings. I have noticed that most of the good ones take a while in order to be approved and that many do not guarantee a listing, even if you pay $299 (Yahoo). So my question is, Do directories turn you away if you have bad web page optimization on your website? Because if they do then I definitely need work done there first.
