Just to clarify what Martin said, adding alt text to your images won't actually help your images get indexed, but they will help improve your rankings in image search - so they are two separate things.
If you do an image "site:" search, you'll see that 40+ of your images have been indexed: https://www.google.com.au/search?q=site:bayareahomebirth.org&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj5_LfJ0qDUAhVIlJQKHQeFCVIQ_AUICigB&biw=1280&bih=590&gws_rd=cr&ei=HCEyWemYKcib0gS3jIzYBw
It's only been two weeks, so the rest of the images may just take a little bit longer.
I can also see that a lot of your images are not hosted on your domain (they're hosted with Squarespace).
If you are looking at indexed images in your Search Console account, these images will not be reported as indexed in your SC account because they are not hosted on the same SC domain - but they are actually indexed.
You can check to see if an image is indexed by pasting the image URL into image search, eg. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=https://static1.squarespace.com/static/56b65664b09f955cb8aed482/t/56ba99d5555986520338de96/1455069653711/big%2Bpoo%2Bbig%2Bbath.jpg&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjZnOif1aDUAhXFH5QKHT0PDrcQ_AUIBigB&biw=1280&bih=590
Overall, I don't think you have any issues with images being indexed - just reporting accuracy issues because some of them aren't hosted on your domain.

Hey Matt,
I've had a quick look at the source code and you can probably work on your ALT texts a bit to help Google with the indexation.
For example, for this image you have set "Photo Credit: eyeliam" as ALT text, which doesn't contain any relevant keywords. Google might think this image is not important for the website/topic and, therefore, decides not to index it.
Also make sure that all the pages containing images are linked between each other.
Finally, you can create Sitemap.xml for images and upload it to GWT as well.

Correct Localisation of my website on Google
I have a website which services various countries, specifically the United Kingdom and United States of America. I am now expanding the target of my website to focus on Australian and South African customers. The structure of my website is www.websitename.com/us/ for the American audience. This is also what appears on a Google search when browsing in the USA. For the United Kingdom we use just www.websitename.com which works and shows in the UK. NOT talking about the same page being linked to twice Talking about One (1) (landing) page Being Listed Twice In Navigation. What is the SEO effect of schema subtype deprecation? Do I really have to update the subtype if there isn't a suitable alternative?
Could someone please elaborate on the SEO effect of schema subtype deprecation? Does it even matter? The Local business properties section of developers.google.com says to: Define each local business location as a LocalBusiness type. Use the most specific LocalBusiness sub-type possible; for example, Restaurant, DaySpa, HealthClub, and so on. Unfortunately, the ProfessionalService page of schema.org states that ProfessionalService has been deprecated and many of my clients don't fit anywhere else (or if they do it's not a LocalBusiness subtype). I find it inconvenient to have to modify my different clients' JSON-LD from LocalBusiness to ProfessionalService back to LocalBusiness. I'm not saying this happens every day but how does one keep up with it all? I'm really trying to take advantage of the numerous types, attributes, etc., in structured data but I feel the more I implement, the harder it will be to update later (true of many things, of course). I do feel this is important and that a better workflow could be the answer. If you have something that works for you, please let us know. If you think it's not important tell us why not? (Why Google is wrong) I understand there is always a better use of our time, but I'd like to limit the discussion to solving this Google/Schema.org deprecation issue specifically.

Google still indexing home page even after with 301 - Ecommerce Website

We have a 301 redirect problem. Google seems to continue indexing a 301 redirect to our old home page. Even after months. We have a multiple language domain, with subfolders: www.example.com (ex page, now with a redirect to the right locale in the right country) www.example.com/it/home (canonical) www.example.com/en/home (canonical) www.example.com/es/home (canonical) www.example.com/fr/home (canonical) www.example.com/de/home (canonical) We still see the old page (www.example.com) in Google results, with old metadata in English and, just in some countries (i.e.: France), we see the correct result, the "new" homepage, www.example.com/fr/home in first position.
The real problem is that Google is still indexing and showing www.example.com as the "real" and "trusted" URL, even if we set: a 301 redirect the right language for every locale in Google Search Console a canonical tag to the locale url an hreflang tag inside the code a specific sitemap with hreflang tag specified for the new homepages Now our redirect process is the following (Italy example).
www.example.com -->301
www.example.com/en/home --> default version --->301
www.example.com/it/home --> 200 Every online tool, from Moz to Bot simulators see that there is a 301. So Correct. Google Search Console says that: on www.example.com there is a 301 (correct) in the internal link section of Google Search Console the www.example.com is still in first position with 34k links. Many of these links are cominig from property subdomains. Should we change those links inside those third level domain? From www.example.com to www.example.com/LOCALE/home? the www.example.com/LOCALE/home are the real home page, they give 200 code Do you know if there's a way to delete the old home page from Google results since this is 301? Issues With Search Results
Hello All, I am currently having issues with the following website: http://universityforddurham.com/None of the vehicles the site has in inventory are not showing up organically.Example:2016 Ford Fusion in Durham, NChttps://www.google.com/?ion=1&espv=2#q=2016+Ford+Fusion+Durham%2C+NCThe results page pulls University Ford North, which is another dealership we work with and has no issues showing up organically. Both of these websites were built around the same time, but the Durham store receives more traffic.If I perform a Google Search for VIN numbers, such as 3FA6P0SU0GR121259 the first page of search results are for the vehicle by all the dealerships in the Auto Group, except for the dealership that actually has the vehicle.I am wondering if the vehicles are not being indexed by Google. When I perform similar searches in Bing, the proper results are populating.Any suggestions or help would be great.Thank you!

How do I set up 2 businesses that work together but are ran seperately with two separate websites but similar content?
How do I set up these sites so that they will not be negatively affecting their SEO efforts? I have 2 businesses with the same owner. Business A manufactures nurse call systems and Business B installs them. They are run separately with two websites. The content is very similar because the business that installs them describes the different products on their website. These are the two sites: intercallsystems.com and nursecallny.com , My thought was on nursecallny.com when you click on the nav link "Nurse Call Systems" you would be directed to the intercell website. Schema for same location on multiple sites - can this be done?
I'm looking to find more information on location/local schema. Are you able to implement schema for one location on multiple different sites? Sub-Domain Google Search Nested under main Domain?
Hello, I have a strange issue that I have not come across before:My subdomain is: michigan.dogdaycare.com. Some of the Keyword searches show our subdomain being nested under the main domain for Google searches instead of being indexed individually. Example search term: Dogtopia Bloomfield https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=dogtopia+bloomfield -This will show two subdomain links nested under the main domain Example search term: Dogtopia Birmingham https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=dogtopia+birmingham -This shows the subdomain showing correctly in searches and not nested. Any idea as to how to fix this? Thanks in advance!
