Brand name in title?

Hi all,
I have noticed that a lot of companies put there brand/company name at the end of their page title. To me, that seems like a huge sacrifice of your limited 60 characters. Wouldn't it be better to use characters for words that people might actually be searching for?

You can put a brand name in a title, that's absolutely fine, but often when you naturally writing the content marketing say the homepage the brand name will get mentioned somewhere in there, so often you website will get indexed with your brand name mentioned, or just mention on say the about us page.

Each case is different. That said can give you some general rules we use. If the Brand name is short ie 6 characters or less.
We use Brand in all Title tags. - ie | Brand
If long - some Brands 2-3 words we always use Brand on Home Page, Contact Page, privacy pages etc.
Product pages - often go with the product only. Then after that we just look at individual pages and determine what is best for the consumer and search engines.

Would it be possible to name some circumstances in which you tend more towards mentioning your brand name in the page title and some circumstances in which you typically wouldn't?

It all depends on circumstances but in most cases most experts advice leave brand name on main page, contact, about us etc. but not on posts.

It could, I would say it's depending on how large of a brand you are in the space that you want to rank for. In tons of cases for bigger brands, it makes more sense to add their brand name to the title of the page in the SERP as it will have a higher awareness of people who are already familiar with it and that's why it'll increase their CTR. In most cases, I would say that it's better to test this assumption at a larger scale to see what the actual impact is of removing/adding the brand name.

Meta title not showing up correctly on SERP
We have an issue with some clients on a Wordpress CMS where title tags implemented on a Yoast SEO plugin for the Homepage are not coming up as we'd implemented them. Include Site Name in Page Titles or not
i would like to ask if it is a good practice or not to Include Site Name in Page Titles. My page is not selling products it is about plagiarism checker tool. i will give one example in one page we are writing about the plagiarism types so the page title is plagiarism types and then is the site name. what is the better practice? I look many times on google that what is the best tag to set in title for seo, H1 or H2 or H3 In many forums and sites they are asking that you need to put only H2 tag in title and someone ask to put H1 in title and i am confused, Some body tell me the correct tag for seo in google, or any other search engine.

Optimizing for another keyword than the menu name
Hi I would like to hear if someone could help me decide whether or not it is important regarding SEO that the menu name is the same as the keyword we want to rank for. The site is a static site and one of our most important keywords. To give an example. Our menu name is "cars" and we want to rank for "cheap rental cars".

Best Domain Name for Life Coaching Site
Hello, I am an NLP health coach. I am starting to work with both life threatening illnesses and minor diagnoses. NLP is a type of personal development. I'm wondering what your opinion of the best domain would be, keeping in mind branding, SEO, and usability/rememberability. The term "NLP" is not well known. I will be doing both phone coaching and in-person coaching. My other website (BobWeikel.com) is not very strong because of the lack of keywords in the domain, but it's easy to remember. Options are: NLPTrained.com BobWeikelHealthCoach.com BoiseHealthCoach.com (I'm in Boise Idaho) RobertWeikel.com or whatever you suggest.
