Domain Analysis Limit
-
Hello, even though we are a Moz Pro user we have a 'part-timer' who keeps the client metrics scoreboard up to date. Rather than have him running wild in Moz Pro we bookmarked the 'Domain Analysis' page and he knows that only 3 can be reported on per day. If it was an immediate need then we would use Moz-Pro.
The issue was reported to me that he is receiving 'Search Limit reached' and do a moz-pro trial.
So, has the 3 per day limit been changed?
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks. I think I have a clue - he mentioned he used it yesterday 3 times and got the message - then (according to the story) he got the message as soon as he tried today (Friday 09/25).
After seeing your reply I asked him when did he try on Thursday and he replied it was later in the evening. Depending on when the limit is re-set could explain why the message was received this morning.
I will try it myself later tonight and see if it works and/or give it a go tomorrow (Sat) and let you know.
Take care,
Dave

Hi Dave!
Free / community users will only get 3 searches but the limit refreshes daily. Those with Moz Pro accounts will get unlimited queries.
If you are seeing "Search limit reached" this is due to going over the 3 free searches, which then prompts to purchase Moz Pro or Start a Trial to access more searches.
We suggest checking back tomorrow for the query limit to refresh, I hope this helps!

Keyword Explorer: Search by Domain Not Working?
We have tried Keyword Explorer for several websites today using the domain, subdomain and exact page option. None of these are returning keyword results. Is the tool currently broken? As a test we tried Amazon.com, see screenshot: JbWsaLi.png

Puzzled. High domain authority, but low page authority?
I have a question regarding how a page's authority can be low but the domain authority be high. I'm using the SERP report in moz to compare competing pages. The page I'm working on is an ecommerce category page. Moz says it has very low page authority, has been indexed for a little over a year, it's domain authority is a moderate 50, and has no root domains linking to it. It is more relevant than the other pages (has more products for sale that fit the keyword searched for), has a decent amount of copy on the page, but ranks around #10 in the search results. The competing pages are also ecommerce category pages. The 9 ranking higher have domain authority varying from 30-75, and 1 or 2 root domain links to them. Their number of products that match the keyword searched are all over the board, some have many matches, some have only 6 or 8 results. Some have a moderate amount of text on the page, some have very little text on the page. Yet they have page authority in the 30s-40s. What goes into page authority that I'm missing which would make these other pages have so much more authority when they are just slightly better in the other metrics listed above? What am I missing here?

Domain Authority vs Actual Results?
Hi. I know that MOZ's domain authority (DA) is an industry authority when it comes to evaluating the quality of a website. However, I've encountered something interesting in regards to a specific site: Digital Journal If you examine in through OSE you'd notice it has amazingly high DA - 83. But when you look at it through SEMRush you'd see that it is steadily dropping in rankings and accordingly traffic (lost 93% of traffic over the last year) which makes me believe that it got penalized. Shouldn't it be reflected on MOZ's analysis?

Is it a site I should worry that points to me? This is an addition...
I encountered also the following site: americanchronicle.com which has the DA of 61 (pretty high) and is actually down for a while now Thanks0 -

Keyword Difficulty and Analysis
Hi There - I'm using MOZ's keyword difficulty and analysis tool to understand the difficulty of a given set of keywords. To my surprise- I appear number 1 on Google, for a keyword with a difficulty of 36% On the other hand, for few other with difficulty in range 16% - 25%, I appear on the second or third page. In regards to page optimization, and back links i'm far better off on these ones than the other one (with 36%). Any reason why that would be the case ? PS: I've already analyzed the possibility of DA or PA, but it doesn't make sense. As the latter ones always scores better. Thanks, K

Link Metrics API: sort by domain authority not working?
I’m trying to make calls to the Link Metrics API (via the Linkscape gem); queries that set sorting to :page_authority work, but queries that set it to :domain_authority return Unrecognized API method: 'links/page_to_domain.domain_authority' Unrecognized API method: 'links/page_to_page.domain_authority' Meanwhile, Open Site Explorer happily sorts by domain authority. How should I query the Link Metrics API to get results sorted by domain authority?
