Ultimate Ranking Tool integrating Analytics / Adwords / Google WM Tools
-
I currently use SEOMOZ Campaigns and Advanced Web Ranking for monitoring our KW rankings and those of competition.
AWR is a brilliant tool with so many different reports, methods of viewing etc. SEOMOZ campaigns are good but don't come close to the monitoring power of AWR (EG I monitor over 50 competitors on over 1000 KW's on a Daily basis with AWR and recieve a variety of set emailed reports on the data). However, one thing that SEOMOZ campaigns have that is useful is the traffic data - but this is still a bit basic and I think could be improved.
The problem with AWR is that it doesn't integrate with your Analytics / Adwords / Google WM Tools - so it is only showing you half the picture.
Knowing how your site ranks for each keyword is helpful, but it would be nice to understand the value of each keyword. For example, being able to see your rank position and how much traffic that keyword has sent you over time would be helpful. It would also be nice to see the number of searches that are performed for that keyword each month . For example, lets say I saw that I was ranking at number 11 for “hover mower” and getting 500 hits per month. Two months from now, if I was ranking at position 7, it would be nice to be able to immediately see how that changed the amount of traffic I was receiving for the term. Is a position of 11 (first item on page two) better than position 10 (last item on page one)?
If you can link it to your analytics, you could then link it to your goals, and goal values to get a complete picture of where your keywords rank the value of the rank, and the improvment on that value when rank changes.
If browsed around for such software but can't find anything like this - does anyone know of any software that can do this - or something close to this?
Many thanks

You can colour code all you competitors (and your keywords) in AWR, so this may help you do this. Otherwise you can set up multiple campaigns with different sets of competitors and campaigns.

If I understand what you're looking for, I believe Raven SEO does this. Once you've setup the kw you want to track and integrated Google Analytics, you can see that data for each keyword.
Raven will show you in various columns: the rank of the kw, the amount of traffic that kw has generated according to GA, and the relative volume that kw generates in Adwords. These columns aren't on by default. You'll need to customize your Ranking SERP Tracker page to see that data.

Yea I never heard of Advanced Web Ranking so I'm downloading it now. I use Market Samurai to monitor keywords so I dont know how different it is.
What I would like to find is a way I can set different competitors for different labels of keywords. For example:
If I'm selling car parts and I have a set of competitors for the keyword: Honda Performance Parts
And 30 different other keywords. However if I also want to rank for Mazda Performance Parts and any kind of sets like that.. I may have different competitors for that kind of list.

How to sift "site search" data from Google Analytics for trends
I apologize in advance if this has been asked a million times but I'm just not able to find anything on it for some reason. Probably the words "site" and "search" come up a lot in this area... Anyhow, my question: How do I find trends in "site search" data from Google Analytics? I set up "site search" a long time ago. I have thousands and thousands of searches people have made on my site logged and squirreled away. The plan was to review them on a weekly basis, find the trends and start writing content to address interests people seem to be having but not finding on our site. Sounded great at the time. The problem I have, of course, is that among my 10,000 searches (many shown in Google Analytics as "no-results:cats and dogs", etc), there are slight differences that make it difficult to total up search trends. Let's say the list is like this: Term | Search Count Cats | 500
Moz Pro | | rtkl
Dogs | 500
Cat | 250
Dog | 250
Cat food | 5
Dog food | 5
Birds | 1
Bird | 1
Cats are great | 1
Cats are really great | 1
Dogs are great | 1
I like birds | 1
Seriously, I like Cats | 1
Turtles | 1 ... 10,000 more entries, every single one only 1 search per term. OK, so it looks like people like Cats and Dogs a lot, but also Birds and Turtles. But maybe there are snake searches. Maybe there are "cat pajamas" searches and variations on all of the above. Who knows what else is really trending in there??? The review of this data is MIND-NUMBING. Especially when you get into plurality and misspellings, this rabbit hole has no bottom. Is there a tool people in the SEO jam use to take a big ole CSV dump and have it magically sorted by at least potential trends? I mean, there's gotta be, right? And I'm silly for not already knowing what it is.0 -
GWMT / Search Analytics VS OpenSiteExplorer
Just had the experience of using OSE data to show what we call "linkrot" to a client -- only to find that GWMT / Search Analytics shows no such thing. Fortunately the client is an old friend and no face was lost, but it was dicey there for a bit as I have come to rely on and reference OSE again and again and again, OSE showed Domain Authority dropping by about 1/3 in the last 12 months, presumably due to old links getting broken, linking sites changing their architecture etc. And of course, ranking is tanking, as you would expect. But Google shows many more (and much more spammy looking!) backlinks. Has anyone had any experience benchmarking the 2 data sets of backlinks against each other? Dr Pete?

Ranking Tool
We are considering purchasing your complete suite. Our question is regarding your Ranking Tool. We currently subscribe to Market Samurai and they provide us with keyword ranking abilities tied to our internal pages. Our domain, www.wklaw.com has hundreds of internal pages. (86 areas of law, each with 5 pages). will your ranking tool match our keywords to our internal pages? or does it only provide us ranks for the main domain? Thank you.

What is the Best Local Ranking Tool?
I'm trying to track down a tool that will provide localized rankings within Google Maps/Places, Yahoo Local, Bing Local as well as major local directories such as Yelp, Yellow Pages, etc. Additionally, I'm looking for the results to provide the address being displayed in the ranking. Any suggestions?

Why does Seomoz report other values then Google Webmaster?
Dear Seomoz Community I check my Seomoz ranking from time to and today I saw a big discrepancy between the reported domains linking to my site in the Site Explorer and Google Webmaster tools. Seomoz reports 19 linking domains
Moz Pro | | menelik
Google shows 150 domains linking to my site. Is there an explanation for this discrepancy? Thank for helping me out 😉0 -

Best way to rank an E-commerce site fast? [GOOGLE]
Does anyone have experience in ranking E-commerce sites? I'm trying to rank 1000+ subcategorys and 300+ products. All less than 1k Exacts some are just 20ish some go up to 1k. I've used Traffic Travis all keywords are ranked as [Easy] along with the tools here. My competition have 0 backlinks to there sites. Some sites have PR1-4 (only 2-3 per SERP rest are 0 so should be quite easy. However I'm up against Amazon and Google shopping for the products. Anyways what would you guys recommend me do?

About the rankings report in the Pro Dashboard, does it track the ranking of every page on a root domain, or just the home page or whichever page you set up the campaign with?
I noticed that one of the pages on my root domain has a #5 rank for a keyword, yet the ranking report says that there are no results in the top 50. So I am assuming it is only tracking the home page. That is one thing I liked about the Rank Tracker, that it would find any page that was ranking on a root domain. Thanks, Lara
