What are the best wordpress theme clubs
-
Hi, i am looking for the best theme clubs out there for wordpress, i am looking for clubs that offer support and also ones that have a forum that you can share ideas as well as get support.
any suggestions would be great
-
it sounds like there are some good clubs out there and some pretty bad ones
-
I will have a look. It does amazes me in this day and age the amount of template and theme clubs out there that do not have support and forum support
-
Elegant Themes is pretty cool too. As others have said, also try out WooThemes.
-
I have used Woocommerce extension briefly and found it quite simple and easy to setup. As far as capabilities for simple ecommerce store website it was great.
Their is plenty of support in the FAQ's and Support site for woocommerce also which should be pretty useful for anyone looking to use Woocommerce for the first time.
-
I agree with James. I also use Woothemes and their FAQs, theme docs and support sites are great. I haven't yet used their WooCommerce yet. James have you?
-
Hi Claire,
RocketTheme is another good wordpress theme club. You might also want to read the link below:

Hi Claire
We use Woothemes 'http://www.woothemes.com/' for our various business wordpress websites, the themes are great and very easy to customize It also has a great support FAQ's section for the different themes with an active public support forum.
Highly recommend Woothemes
Hope this helps
James

Content: Best Blogs Article
Hello, For an Ecommerce site, I think a good way to get known is to write a "Best X Blogs" article, where X is a topic in your industry, and then letting the people you link to know about the article. I got the idea from a Mozinar. My question is, how close does the X from above have to be in your niche? For example, if your product is running shoes can you write a "best athlete blogs" article? I'm worried about them reading the article, then leaving. In some smaller niches the topics closest to the product don't have much in the way of blogs out there. So how close to your niche does the Best X Blogs topic have to be?

Need help deciding how to display directory listings in way Google will like best
My blog site currently has maybe 100 posts and I do about 7-8 new a week. I am creating a directory for an this site, which will end up eventually being a few hundred or more entries eventually. In the directory browse/search listing, each directory listing will have a title and a short description (one or two lines) and will show about 10-20 per page. And then the user can click an entry to see more details for the particular directory listing. This is where I have a choice, and I want to know what is the best for my site, in Google's eyes of course. Options: 1. The listing detail is displayed on a separate page. 2. The listing detail is displayed below the entry that was clicked, on the same page, by use of jquery to slide down the other content blow it to make room for it. (It actually looks slick, I've tried it). If I were writing full, unique pages for each listing detail, I'd choose option #1. But the vendors are submitting the content. It's possible they might just copy and paste their site's About page into it, or they might not even add any more detail other than their address. I can't control it. So, if going with option #1, let's say a third of the vendors add nice unique content, a third paste in some dup content, and a third just leave it blank (there would still be an address, couple line short description, and a title on the page). Would this situation be good, not good or neutral for my site? I'm not sure if adding additional pages, maybe half to two-thirds of which could be somewhat duped or of minimal word length would be bad or neutral for my site overall. As for my existing and ongoing blog pages--they are all unique, long and Google seems to love them.

Related posts Wordpress plugin
Hi, I was wondering what Wordpress plugin you are using to add related posts to your blog posts. I would need one that allows you to pick the related posts manually and doesn't break the on-page SEO. Thank you! George

Wordpress Security and Alternatives
No matter how secure we try to make our wordpress blogs they still got hacked. We recently got hacked(server level hacking, javascript insertion that took our server down, through the askimet plugin), anyway there was nothing really showing in the front end, no inserted links and nothing suspicious looking code. Oh well we are changing the passwords now and going through and deleting the javascript. The problem im facing is that i am handling over 100 blogs, so its very time consuming to do this. I know that once or twice a year everyone goes through a wordpress crisis but we really cant afford nor have the resources to fix it all the time. Are there any alternatives to wordpress blogs(as good as wordpress). Wordpress has been showing good results so far so it works as far as SEO goes, but we are trying to figure out what to do in order to not get hacked. Besides alternatives id like to know if there are any work arrounds to not get hacked with little maintenance needed. Any tips?

Images for WordPress
I'd be grateful for any advice regarding sourcing, adding & attributing images/photos for my WordPress blog. Budget is tight so have to rule out paid stock libraries, but I heard that Flickr images can be used under Creative Commons providing they are correctly attributed. eg. http://www.zdnet.co.uk/news/business-of-it/2011/04/07/mps-criticise-bbc-siemens-38m-contract-failure-40092428/ eg 2. http://www.zdnet.co.uk/news/networking/2011/10/05/bt-lines-up-300mbps-broadband-launch-40094109/ Example 1 does not seem to link back but example 2 does. Are there any rules on this? I have looked at some plugins: Insights, iFlickr, WP Flickr Manager, Photo Dropper. Looking to save time by streamlining the process of adding images, resizing and attributing. Many thanks.

Duplicate Content on WordPress Blogs?
We are getting ready to add a WordPress blog to our established website. Our plans are to place it in a subfolder on our website to maximize rank. My question is...Do we need to utilize a Meta Robots WordPress plugin by Yoast or similar so that noindex, follow robots meta tags will prevent search engine indexing of search result pages, subpages and category archives? We want to avoid the dreaded Duplicate Content Error and penalty. Any other great SEO WordPress plugins? Thank you for your time. Brian
