A grade but no ranking. Can anyone help?
-
Hi there,
I'm new to SEOmoz but familiar with SEO in general. I recently setup a new campaign for my wife's eCommerce business - www.toucankids.com. We optimized 6 pages for 6 well researched key phrases.
These pages have been indexed by Google however they didn't show up in the on page reports section of SEOmoz. I've just worked out how to add them manually so i've done that.
The good news is that all of the pages get an A grade so we must be doing something right.
The bad news is that we haven't got a top 50 result for any of them which is quite disheartening. I'd rather not invest lots of effort more page optimisation if this approach isn't working.
Can anyone offer any advice on next steps / fine-tuning?
Thanks in advance!
P.S. We're going through a process of link building to try and improve our domain authority at the moment so i'm hoping that Friday's linkscape update will give us some better news in that department.

On page optimisation is important but will only get you so far. OpenSiteExplorer is only showing 18 external links at the moment so I'm afraid you will need to do a lot more linkbuilding to see better results!

There are numerous factors, many hours spent on SEO, website architecture, keyword density, inclusion and occurrence of the terms, page speed, links, PA,DA, age of the domain. Have patience and results will come, also start by creating a good keywording strategy targeted for your needs, analyze your competition by using the seomoz tools.

Increase in Rankings, but search visibility is decreasing
I just started updating my site with the very basics, focus keyword, meta description, and page titles. I see that I am going up in my targeted keywords, however my search visibility has dropped from 3.34% to 2.78%. My assumption is that my keyword choice is a little off, however I see that I have increased in keyword rankings and dropped very little in what I was ranking for previously, plus the keyword volume seems relatively the same. In fact I've added far more keywords than I have dropped. Curious why my search visibility has dropped, however my keyword rankings only seem to increase.

SEO Help in LA
Hi All- We're new to the MOZ community and plan to use the tools to help our site. We sell graphic design retail products globally. We're looking for a recommendation for a MOZ pro in Los Angeles (ideally) to help us build out our campaign(s) and get us started with the MOZ tools. Any of you in LA? Any of you have a rec for a great resource close to us? Thanks so much, Scott

Crawl results on keyword rankings differ from actual search rankings
For the second week in a row, the weekly keyword rankings in my MOZ account show "not in top 50" for most keywords. However, when I check some of my rankings I still broadly have the rankings that I used to have. It seems that the MOZ crawl is experiencing some difficulties. Does anyone have suggestions how to find out what's going on? If I can't rely on the crawl outcomes, then the tool is not very useful anymore!

Perplexed - Errors increasing, moz rank dropping, conflicting data from other sources. Please Help.
Hi there, I'm in a bit of a bind and could seriously do with some help. For the past month I've been working with a client to resolve errors onsite. In that period my moz rank has plummeted and my errors (dupe title & content) have increased dramatically. The correlation makes sense, the increase - not so much. Here's why, screaming frog is reporting that the majority of duplicate titles have been removed or dealt with. I've also got the assurance of the developer that the suggested changes are being implemented. Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the CMS - umbraco - and this is the first time I'm working with this particular developer, so I'm not sure how to gauge progress without using moz tools. So, here are my immediate questions: 1. Why would I get different results from Screaming Frog and Rogerbot? 2. Has anyone here been in a similar situation and could they recommend areas to watch for errors creeping in? 3. Is there a way of identifying which errors have occurred when? Narrowing it down to the week each error occurred would be good enough. 4. Is anybody aware of any inherent SEO flaws in umbraco or common SEO mistakes made using the CMS? 5. is there anything I could provide you with to help you help me? 6. Do you have a suggestion? I'm pretty stuck. Thanks in advance.

Checking multiple keywords in Rank tracking
Besides the rankings in the campaigns i want to check 100+ keywords at once in rank tracking. Is this possible and if not why? It says i can check 400 keywords a day but manually entering them is time consuming and that's exactly why i use SEOMOZ, to save time.

Keyword rankings tool not fully populated today?
I logged in today and my rankings are normally crawled on Thurs, and of my 66 keywords only 6 of them are showing any data - the rest are all blank. It's been going for weeks so it's not like it doesn't have it's initial data yet. I presume this is some issue or artifact that the results haven't been input yet. Can someone help answer this?

Freaked out over domain authority ranking drop.
Should I be freaked out that website's domain authority dropped 4 points? Is it normal for websites to fluctuate a couple of points or have I really screwed something up?

SEOmoz Rank tracking
I think this tool is a bit off : ) This morning I checked my ranking for a keyword and every time I recheck it I see my results in a different place. I checked on word 5 times and got three different results. Is Google brocken or is the tracker doing its own thing? This is not the first time I am seeing this issue only today its really acting up. IMHO I think it would be best if the tool just says out of order 🙂 rather than 3, 10, 6 for one keyword phrase within ten minutes...
