Local SEO question

Hi
I was wondering is there any specific rules for Local SEO for a service company which provides a service in a variety of cities but only has one physical location. For example is it ok to target the other cities in Title Tags or would this be frowned upon?
Regards

Hey There,
This post should help you become conversant with the ins and outs of local landing pages:
http://moz.com/blog/local-landing-pages-guide
You can definitely optimize each city landing page you build for the city in question. The main pitfall to avoid with this practice is developing thin or duplicative pages. Be sure if you're embarking on this content development project that you have the resources to devote to making unique pages of the highest possible quality.
Hope this helps!

You can sort of get away with targeting 2-3 cities with a single page, but it's less than ideal. If you cover a lot of areas, consider breaking your site down into silos. /city1, /city2, /city3, then into the services for each /city1/service1, /city1/service2, /city1/service3, or even further into something like /city1/service2/something-related-to-service2, etc. The content needs to be unique on each page of course, but this will let you target multiple cities easier. How far your break them down and how much content you make for each can be determined by the volume of searches or importance of the city to you. Some cities you might want to just build a city page that lists all services (such as low importance, low search volume, or low competition areas,) others you may want just a few main service pages for, and other important locations you may want pages for all the services you offer.

Hi,
Well to the best of my knowledge and experience, a few questions to ask would be:
1. How many websites do you have? If one website, targeting all locations is quite OK and shouldn't be frowned upon. This is part and parcel of having corporate businesses running in different locations.
2. If you have more than one website, do all the is websites have the same content? I hope not, hope you only have a single website. Especially, one designed to help visitors to navigate to different pages of site related to their particular locations, Just a suggestion....If you running an International Business, you could have a website with the following landing page: http://www.airtel.com/
Thank You

Local Strategy for Multiple Domain Integration
Hello, We are a locally driven business with two locations. Currently, each location has its own local site and are linked to from our central domain (3 domains total). We are discussing whether we should integrate the local sites into location pages on our core domain. However, we would also prefer to keep the ‘local’ domains live. Is this a viable strategy and what would we need to do to ensure the local sites won’t cannibalize our efforts with the main domain? Also, should we remove the contact information on those local sites to avoid NAP issues? The other option would be to build out the local domains but that could raise concerns over budget and potentially expanding into the future. And we would like the main domain to take presendence. A few additional notes on this: Each location has its own brand name and contact information. Traffic across all 3 sites is about the same. We are also considering using silos with sub-folders to build out local service pages. We understand how to set up location pages but are asking more in terms of overall strategy and ideal way to position all 3 sites. Any help or insight would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Regional multilingual seo
Hello, I have a problem related to 3 website that we are publishing in Belgium. 90% of the content will be exactly the same. The domain names are going to be xxxx-flanders.be (content in NL) xxxx-wallonia.be (content in FR and DE) xxxx-brussels.be (content in FR and NL) My problem is that I will have duplicate content in French between xxxx-wallonia.be and xxxx-brussels.be and duplicate content in Dutch between xxxx-flanders.be and xxxx-brussels.be The granularity of hreflang language annotation and geotargeting in the Google Search Console is at the country level. How can I do that at the regional level?

SEO Company wants to rebuild site
Hello Community, I am a designer and web developer and I mostly work with squarespace. Squarespace has SEO best practices built into the platform, as well as developer modes for inserting custom code when necessary. I recently built a beautiful website for a Hail Repair Company and referred them to several companies to help them with SEO and paid search. Several of these companies have told this client that in order to do any kind of SEO, they'll need to completely rebuild the site. I've seen some of the sites these companies have built, and they are tacky, over crowded and hard to use. My client is now thinking they need to have their site rebuilt. Is there any merit to this idea? Or are these companies just using the knowledge gap to swindle people into buying more services? The current site is : https://www.denverautohailspecialists.com/ Any advice would be appreciated.

More pages on website better for SEO?
Hi all, Is creating more pages better for SEO? Of course the pages being valuable content. Is this because you want the user to spend as much time as possible on your site. A lot of my competitors websites seem to have more pages than mine and their domain authorities are higher, for example the services we provide are all on one page and for my competitors each services as its own page. Kind Regards, Aqib

Call Tracking numbers effect on Local SEO
Hello Mozzers! With the importance of homogeneous NAP information on Local SEO, could using Call Tracking numbers have a negative effect? Is it better to use Javascript to place the number, or to hard code it? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I hear there are a lot of small SEO companies in Boston (that have about 2-3 people) - does anyone know of any they can suggest? They don't necessarily have to be in Boston - please suggest small SEO consultancies if you know of any. Thanks! -Polyvore
