Goal Tracking WIth Optimizely

Hi Guys,
I am finally delving into the world of conversion rate optimization and split A/B Testing. It's all going well, have crazy egg for heatmapping (which is bringing up some interesting stuff) and I have decided to test some changes.
I have setup a variation in optimizely, so i can see what effect the change would have, but i am struggling.
I am trying to add the hellobar via crazy egg to a variation (it's just a simple piece of javascript),
but when I do I get the following error "Error evaluating variation javascript:
SyntaxError: expected expression, got '<'I thought optimizely was supposed to be easy to use!1

If you're trying to include this script in the Optimizely editor, it wouldn't work because the code in the editor is already Javascript, so it's like you're trying to next a

Looks like you're missing 'http:' before '//my...'" right at the beginning of that.

Google Ecommerce Tracking
Hey all, I have GTM set up on a site and I am trying to enable the Ecommerce tracking functionality. My problem is this, I have access to the basket variables all they way through the checkout funnel to the payment page, but they are then lost on the payment completed page. Does anyone know how I can pass the value of the basket across to the payment completed page so I can mark the transaction completed with an actual value present. I cannot post hidden input fields or change the url get variables as the third party system that us used fails. I have thought maybe javascript calls, but not managed to get to work as yet. Can the Google session pass and hold them in the cookies that are set? Any help greatly appreciated. Cheers Tim

Conversion Rate Benchmarking and Optimization
Hey everyone! I run the marketing for an ecommerce marketplace and we're doing good on the SEO front of things, with 60%+ of our traffic coming in via search and we're ranking for some competitive keywords. I'm really curious about the conversion rate though. Despite intensive googling, I've not been able to find a rough benchmark for conversion rates. Our conversion rate is about 1.2%, increasing as we continue to do more optimization work with regards to the site's usability. While we track other forms of conversions, the 1.2% conversion rate is for bookings through the site, which is our main source of revenue. Does anyone have a reference guide for conversion rates, particularly for ecommerce marketplaces? I'd like to know if we're doing ok or really bad, and also to take reference from other similar sites to improve our conversion. Thanks!!

Goal Tracking in Google Analytics
Hi guys, I just want to ask if you have videos or blogs about setting up goal tracking using conversion page or a "thank you page" in Google Analytics. This will help me to get how many inquiries (from contact form) I am getting and for me to know where they came from using Google Analytics (countries, source/site they used, time on site, category page and landing page, etc.). #2 question - In case I don't have a "thank you" page, is it possible for me to get these "goals"? Do I need to insert a code in each of the "send" button in my contact form? Looking forward for a positive response from you guys. 🙂 Thanks, JC

Google Analytics e-commerce tracking on multiple pages
Hi, I work in the airline industry and we are trying to implement Google analytics on our site. We are at the stage of getting e-commerce tracking setup. The problem we face is that we have multiple receipt pages (booking confirmation pages in our case) instead of just one as most carts would have. These are completely independent of each other. My question is can I use the same e-commerce tracking code on each page or do I need to setup multiple trackers. I reviewed the documentation here: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/analyticsjs/ecommerce#multitracker however I'm unsure if multiple trackers are needed when using it on multiple pages or is this just for multiple trackers on the same booking confirmation page. any help on this would be greatly appreciated

Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Best Approach/Plan Documentation
Hey Mozzers - First off, I am well aware of what CRO is, its benefits, and why it is essential for any inbound or performance marketing campaigns. However i am a total newbie at the actual planning and implementation of CRO, so any advice/feedback on the questions below are much appreciated! When planning a CRO experiment/test what is the best way to document it? Should i develop the full plan ahead of time laying out each element? If so, what elements should i include in this plan? What are the KPIs i should report on? What tools should i use for reporting (i was thinking a blend of Google and Clicktale)? Any lessons learned through out your campaigns? Thank you all so much for your input! Regards - Kyle

Tracking Sales to Sources
We're trying to set up a commission system for the different people who contribute to our site. We just want to see a list of transactions and the path back to source for all of them. We haven't been able to figure it out and know other ecommerce sites have had to have figured this out.We have GA Ecommerce tracking on. How can we find last months sales: source / medium / keyword / landing page / revenue / etc Sorry if this is an obvious question. We have spent a lot of time trying to figure it out.

Can I track user journeys from a particular source?
We want to track users from a particular campaign to see what they do when they get to the site. The site generates revenue from clicks out so we want to be able to see whether visitors from a particular source click on multiple deals. i.e. enters from the source and then clicks on 3 different deals that take the user to other sites. Using GA, can I track this by implementing UTM on both the campaign links and outgoing links? Can I see exactly how many deals the average user is clicking on? As far as I know I can: Track visitors from the campaign Track overall clicks on deals Divide click outs by visitors But I can't track how many deals the visitors from campaign A clicked on... or can I?
