Have I set up my structured data correctly, the testing tool suggests not?
-
Hi,
I've recently marked up some Events for a client in hope that they'll appear as rich snippets in ther SERPS. I have access to their Google Search Console so used the Data Highlighter facility to mark them up, rather than the Raven plugin available for WordPress sites like this.
I completed this on 10th July and the snippets are yet to appear - I understand that this can take time and there are no guarantees - but as a novice it would be reassuring if someone can advise that I have done this correctly.
We did incidentally resubmit a sitemap after completing this task, but I'm not sure if that makes any difference.
I've read that it's the structured data testing tool that I need to use to test my markup, but when I input the urls below, the tool doesn't tell me a lot, which either suggests I've marked it up incorrectly, or don't know how to read it!

Ok, thanks for clarification, RDFA is a new one on me, but that makes sense now.
Thanks for taking the trouble - I'll sit tight and wait for Google then.
-
That's because you are using RDFA, if you were using microdata markup you would see itemscope and itemprop.

hello Massimiliano,
Thanks for coming back to me.
I'm still a little confused.
The tool you pointed me to is the one I was using.
I can see the breadcrumbs you refer to as well, but I'm not sure the posts are marked up correctly, despite the tool suggesting it's 'all good'.
When I look at the page source I can't see any 'itemscope' or 'itemprop' code, which I would have expected to see?
Any thoughts? Can anyone put my mind at ease?
Regards,
Nathan -
Test using the appropriate tool: https://developers.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool/
I tried with the first url you posted and breadcrumbs are there.

Link Structure June 2019
Question Which link structure is better in 2019 for best SEO practice Example A) https://www.fishingtackleshop.com.au/soft-plastic-lures/ Or B) https://www.fishingtackleshop.com.au/fishing/fishing-lures/soft-plastic-lures/ We're on the bigcommerce platform and used to have https://www.fishingtackleshop.com.au/categories/soft-plastic-lures/ Last year we went from bigcommerce long URL to short to bypass the link juice being sent to /categories Now we have an SEO company trying to sell me their services after a bit of a steady decline since september 2018 and told me that we should have link structure as example B and that is likely the reason for the dip.. Due to breadcrumbing, True or False?

How would you suggest finding content topics for this site?
Hello, How would you suggest finding content topics for this site: nlpca.com The end goal is signups for training seminars in San Francisco, California and Salt Lake City, Utah. In the future the seminars will move more towards life coaching trainings but right now they are mostly about NLP. NLP is a personal development field. Just looking for ideas for the process of finding topics for the most link-bait-heavy fabulous content. The owners of the site are authorities in the field. This is for both blog and article content. Thanks.

At the end of the url showing these: **www.domain.com/cateogry/city/district#adult#outdoor#colective ** ? Well really i don't know what to do with the filters. Check if you could help me with that please. Webmaster tools 404
Hey, I'm getting a soft 404 error on a webpage that has content and is deferentially not a 404. We've redirect a load of urls to the web page. The url has parameters which was used before the redirect but are no longer used on by the new url, these parameters have been carried over in the redirect. Is this whats causing the soft 404 error or is there another problem that may need addressing? Also a canonical has been set on the webpage. Thanks, Luke.

URL errors in Google Webmaster Tool
Hi Within Google Webmaster Tool 'Crawl errors' report by clicking 'Not found' it shows 404 errors its found. By clicking any column headings and it will reorder them. One column is 'Priority' - do you think Google is telling me its ranked the errors in priority of needing a fix? There is no reference to this in the Webmaster tool help. Many thanks Nigel

Site Structure Question
Hi All, Got a question about site structure, I currently have a website where everything is hosted on the root of the domain. See example below: site.com/men site.com/men-shorts site.com/men-shorts-[product name] I want to change the structure to site.com/men/shorts/[product-name] I have asked a couple of SEOs and some agree with me that the structure needs to be changed and some say that as long as I dictate the structure with internal links and breadcrumbs the URL structure doesn't matter... What do you guys think? Many thanks, Carlos

How to Set Custom Crawl Rate in Google Webmaster Tools?
This is really silly question to set custom crawl rate in Google webmaster tools. Any one can find out that section under setting tab. But, I have confusion to decide number for request per second and second between requests text field. I want to set custom crawl rate for my eCommerce website.
