Google Search Console (new GWT) - Does a language specific sub folder need its own GSC profile
-
HI
I've got a clients site set which targets 3 language/countries:
English via the main site on the domain.com
Turkish via a Turkish language site on a subfolder domain.com/tr/
And German via domain.de
The devs have set up .com and .de in GSC and is reporting data in both
However there's no data in the domain/com/tr GSC profile ! Is that because its on a subfolder so data pertaining to it is being reported in the main domain.com GSC account ? Or does something more need to be done to set up the Turkish subfolder in GSC ? If so what ?
All Best
Dan

Hey Gianluca
Thanks so much for commenting again (this isn't the first time you have helped me out
) !!
Any ideas how i find out what else i need to do so the GSC populates with data ? There is a profile set up in GSC for all the language versions, its just the Turkish version (the only language version in a sub-folder) is not being populated with any data so must be something missing in the set up maybe/not properly completed, such as something required for properly finish the set up/integration of a sub-folders on GSC so that it shows data.
UPDATE - I have just seen that the GSC Turkish a/c im looking at is for a www version so if the Turkish language sub sites actually non www that will explain why im not seeing any data i presume ?
Re HTTP/s - The site was originally non secure so there is an older http profile for the main site/domain. Re www and non www - Weirdly the Turkish version is not www but the others are all on www. This was due to some reason the devs couldn't avoid (to do with domain mapping since on WP multisite the way it works forces it to have to be on the non-www. site as that is not used for anything else, apparently). BUT all site maps and canonicals were amended to HTTPS and all indexed pages and rankings are for pages that are the correct https and (www or non www) versions and has been like this since March when it was all set up, so presume shouldn't have to do more here in the various GSC accounts if that's the case ?
Many Thanks
Dan

Thanks Oleg !
Yes 'links to site' is of value to me (although i do have other link tools to see this info i like to see what Google is perceiving). But ideally as much of the rest of GSC data too, such as indexed pages etc etc
There is a profile set up in GSC for all the language versions, its just the Turkish version (the only version in a sub-folder) is not being populated with any data so must be something missing in the set up maybe/not properly completed, such as something required for properly finish the set up/integration of a sub-folders on GSC so that it shows data.
Any idea as to how i fix or find out how to fix ?
Many Thanks

Yes, because if not you cannot geotarget the subfolders.
Rememover also to create the profile also for not www., and if you have also https, you must create also others 2 search console profiles for https://www.domain.com/es/ and https://domain.com/es/.
These are needed for telling Google your preferred domain version for indexing.

When did you set up the /folder/ property? I've used this to get more detailed backlink reports (as the "links to site report" is different when you enter a subfolder). What data are you looking to get?

Is there a way to filter all computers on a specific IPv6 network in Google Analytics?
Is there a quick way of filtering the IP addresses for all the computers on a network that's using IPv6? I want to filter out visits to our websites from the devices on our office network, but each computer (and phone and tablet) seems to have a different address. It _looks _like they all start the same way, though. One computer is xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:aaaa:aaaa:aaaa:aaaa, another is xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:bbbb:bbbb:bbbb:bbbb, my phone is xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:cccc:cccc:cccc:cccc, etc. Does this mean that xxxx:xxxx:xxxx:xxxx is the address for our network as a whole, and I can just set up a Google Analytics filter for "IP addresses starting with..."? Or would doing that also filter out hits from, like, every visitor within a 20 mile radius of our office? If I need to simply put in the individual addresses for each and every device, I will. I'm just hoping it doesn't come to that. Thanks!

Google Analytics SEO Queries Not Showing
Hi All, This might be a silly question, but for all the properties I monitor in Google Analytics, I'm now showing no data for SEO Queries under Acquisition for the past 6 days. Normally I would expect a few day delay in queries, but nothing for 6 days is somewhat peculiar especially as it was functioning fine prior to November 12th. Does anyone have insight into what might be going on? Thanks! URaNMa3

Getting google impressions for a site not in the index...
Hi all Wondering if i could pick the brains of those wise than myself... my client has an https website with tons of pages indexed and all ranking well, however somehow they managed to also set their server up so that non https versions of the pages were getting indexed and thus we had the same page indexed twice in the engine but on slightly different urls (it uses a cms so all the internal links are relative too). The non https is mainly used as a dev testing environment. Upon seeing this we did a google remove request in WMT, and added noindex in the robots and that saw the index pages drop over night. See image 1. However, the site still appears to getting return for a couple of 100 searches a day! The main site gets about 25,000 impressions so it's way down but i'm puzzled as to how a site which has been blocked can appear for that many searches and if we are still liable for duplicate content issues. Any thoughts are most welcome. Sorry, I am unable to share the site name i'm afraid. Client is very strict on this. Thanks, Carl image1.png

How to safely exclude search result pages from Google's index?
Hello everyone,
Reporting & Analytics | | llamb
I'm wondering what's the best way to prevent/block search result pages from being indexed by Google. The way search works on my site is that search form generates URLs like:
/index.php?blah-blah-search-results-blah I wanted to block everything of that sort, but how do I do it without blocking /index.php ? Thanks in advance and have a great day everyone!0 -

500 errors and impact on google rankings
Since the launch of our newly designed website about 6 months ago, we are experiencing a high number of 500 server errors (>2000). Attempts to resolve these errors have been unsuccessful to date. We have just started to notice a consistent and sustained drop in rankings despite our hard sought efforts to correct. Two questions... can very high levels of 500 errors adversely effect our google rankings? And, if this is the case, what type of specialist (what are they called) has expertise to investigate and fix this issue. I should also mention that the sitemap also goes down on a regular basis, which some have stated is due to the size of the site (>500 pages). Don't know if they're part of the same problem? Thanks.
