Same brand but different domains and TLDs, What could be affect on SEO?
-
I am not sure, if i have a valid question to ask, but i am a bit stuck.
We just got a campaign from one client. Its automotive brand offering the same (classified) services to buy and sell used car on their sites. The issue is the have different domains, which is obvious based on which country they are however issue is those domains are not consistent match as a brand. ie
www.mtmotorslab.co.uk
www.mtmotors.co.za
www.motortrader.com.pk
www.motortrader.in
www.mtmotors.com.aumy question is here, how could it impact our seo efforts or any such effort to establish a strong brand with this sort situation of different tld as well as different domain under same umbrella.
Many Thanks

Hi Mustansar,
Sorry for the delay. I would go with a site map based set up personally it's Not going to add requests and having a faster is always a plus.
You can use deepcrawl.com or https://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/seo-spider-4-0/ to create a CSV file and upload it to this tool http://www.themediaflow.com/tool_hreflang for making hreflang sitemaps.
- https://moz.com/blog/open-source-library-tool-check-hreflang
- https://moz.com/learn/seo/hreflang-tag
For error checking, I strongly recommend deep crawl and http://hreflang.ninja/
I hope this is of help,
Tom

HREFLANG
if not implemented correctly can destroy your search results.

Can you tell me if you are utilizing this right now via sitemap.xml or if you have already tackled this problem?
Use this to make tags

Hi ikkie,
I do remember having read some articles stating that the effect in SEO of the domain is really diminished.
Considering that you've got all other optimization aspect (on page, specially) done at perfection, i bet my money on that there will be no apreciable effect.
Hope it helps.
GR.PS, those articles were ment for Exact match domain. They explained that there are no more big effect having domains that are exact match.

I have rebuilt a website on a new domain and followed SEO protocol to maintain authority, but the results and rankings are declining.
We took over an account for a company called knightdoorservices.com who specialize in doors and windows in Edmonton, Alberta. We built them a new website on a new domain: knightdoorsandwindows.com. We did 301 redirects on all of the old URLs so that they now point to the new URLs so most of the authority should transfer over. Additionally, each page has a properly optimized title, h1 tag, a series of pertinent alt tags, and many instances of the focus keyword for that particular page. Additionally, the website loads quickly and has many high authority inbound links pointing to the domain. We have done this for many other companies and have seen their rankings maintain their position or increase. Is there something that I am missing for this company in particular? Thanks so much!

We are moving one website to a different domain and would like to know what is the best way to do it without hurting SEO
The website we want to move, let's say www.olddomain.com has a low quality back links profile, in fact it received a manual notification from google of unnatural links detected; but the home page has a PR 3. We want to move it to a different domain let's say www.newdomain.com. We would like to know if it's better to do a 301 redirect to the new domain, in order to transfer the link juice or if it would be better to do a 302, taking into account that this redirect won't pass any link juice, so it would be like start from scratch with this new domain. Thanks for your help.

Does having a ? on the end of your URL affect your SEO?
I have some redirects that were done with at "?" at the end of the URL to include google coding (i.e. you click on an adwords link and the google coding follows the redirected link). When there is not coding to follow the link just appears as "filename.html?". Will that affect us negatively SEO-wise? Thank you.

What is the best route SEO wise for implementing a Wordpress blog that has a domain under go daddy and hosting under a third party like Kalio Commerce?
I am currently trying to implement a Blog on a Ecommerce site that has its domain set up under Go Daddy, but it is hosted under a platform called Kalio Commerce. I am trying to implement a Wordpress blog because I am most familiar with it and believe it offers more strength SEO wise but the Ecommmerce platform by Kalio does not offer the ability to install Wordpress or any CMS platform other than its own. I am stuck wondering if I could find a way to either implement a blog through a sub-folder (mydomain.com/blog) while using wordpress on hosting added to the go daddy server under their domain. If Kalio Commerce doesn't have any way of adding a blog to its own hosting is this hindering my clients ability to be fully optimized for fresh content? Now I am not too familiar with adding sub-domains with hosting under a different platform. I am more in tune with building a wordpress ecommerce site and implementing blogs under the wordpress structure. This is a leap for me and it is getting to be a little overwhelming so if any one has prior experience with this please let me know if I can find a way through this without putting my SEO consulting at risk. So far I have gotten to the conclusion that I can set up hosting for the companies site under Go Daddy even though they have their hosting under Kalio. If I am to set up hosting under Go Daddy would this cause the DNS routing to be compromised. If this is so must I set up hosting under a separate domain (myotherdomian.com) and have Kalio set up a Sub-Folder like so (mydomain.com/blog) and just have the DNS of the blog installed on (myotherdomain.com) point to the folder in Kalio hosting for mydomain.com? So now that I explained my situation, what is the best route SEO wise for implementing a Wordpress blog that has a domain under go daddy and hosting under a third party like Kalio Commerce?

Could Sub domains damage our SEO?
Hi there, We're currently looking into integrating a new internal search function to our site which will involve housing the search results on a sub domain of our site. We have no intention of these search result pages becoming landing pages for organic traffic but would the inclusion of a sub domain affect the optimization of the main domain? i.e. could it effect our authority? Nige
