What happened to Moz perks?
-
Not sure if it completely disappeared or just moved somewhere else. Would be curious to hear!
-
I am still hoping MOZ PERKS will back!!
-
It was only a single page. Surely it's benefit to retain existing members and convince new members would outweigh any bandwidth issue.
I'm disappointed that such a valuable member benefit has been removed with no warning. I would love if you could bring it back.
-
Agree with the other members. As a very small business, MozPerks for extended trials or discounts off other related marketing services like Unbounce etc. was really helpful to me to get me started with some other services and many I signed up as a paying customer.
This was one of the big advantages of being a Moz Pro customer.
I have just searched everywhere for it today as it had one of the services I'm considering to use.
I'm also disappointed that it has being removed. Please bring it back.
I am starting to feel that Moz is little more than a ranking tracker in recent years.
-
You really should leave the page up with an explanation. How is it TAGFEE to take perks away without any prior notification or explanation until someone asks? I'm surprised. Not like you guys at all!
-
Thanks for the update Erin - totally understand if it's outside the company's bandwidth, although Moz's perks will be missed on my end!
-
I agree! I'm really missing out here...
-
Bummer. This was a benefit of being a member and something I wish I had known was being taken down.
-
FWIW, there are several vendors / companies who owe their revenue from us entirely to Moz. And true to their word, those who said lifetime discounts have honored their commitment.
One discount has been $81 per month for a couple of years. The other is $25 or so.
And I've tried multiple services for 6 months or a year through Moz Perks.
Put my name in the Moz Perks folder and let me know if the program is ever restarted. I would happily give a great testimonial.
P.S. The reason I was here today was to check and see which services were in the program for a tool I was considering!

Hi Ria!
Moz Perks were a list of additional partner benefits we used to have. These perks are what are being sunsetted.
Moz Points on the other hand, are still rockin' and rollin'! MozPoints are how we reward awesome folks like you for participating in our Community! You can still earn MozPoints and work towards your very own Roger.
Cheers,
Erin
-
Thanks, Erin!
I'm confused though. Are Moz Perks different to the MozPoints Benefits? What exactly is being sunsetted? (My life goal is to finally get a Rogerbot vinyl figurine of my very own, to take travelling around the world... I'm so close to getting one of Rogerbot's babies! I will hug him, and pet him, and squeeze him...)
-
Hi Joe, Thanks for reaching out! Erin here. I manage Moz's Marketing Communications Team. We actually made the sad call to sunset the Moz Perks page earlier this month. With the recent changes at Moz, we just don't have the bandwidth to support it at the moment. Sorry to catch you by surprise! To Logan's point Mozpoints are still alive and well! Sorry you didn't get a tweet, Thomas and Ria! I'll let Roger know! Let me know if you have any questions! Erin
-
I never received my tweet from Roger either, although I did get my awesome Moz t-shirt! The funny thing is when I posted a cheeky tweet to @Moz prompting for my tweet from Roger, they Liked it but still no tweet XD
-
They are still running too, I had an email last night about claiming my moz shirt for getting 500 moz points. No tweet from Roger though
-
Are you talking about the incentives for Mozpoints? If so, they can be found here: https://moz.com/community/mozpoints

I’d like to set up a Moz campaign that crawls just the primary website, not subdomains
Is this something you could help with? (it either bombs or crawls everything, so I assume I’m missing something in the campaign settings, or it’s just not possible.

Keyword ranking in google but not in MOZ
Good day, When I type my keyword in google, the website related to this keyword appears on page 1 (7th link from the top). However in Moz report, the keyword position is #13. I don't understand why. Can someone explain the reason? Thank you,

Moz's official stance on Subdomain vs Subfolder - does it need updating?
Hi, I am drawing your attention to Moz's Domain basics here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain It reads: "Since search engines keep different metrics for domains than they do subdomains, it is recommended that webmasters place link-worthy content like blogs in subfolders rather than subdomains. (i.e. www.example.com/blog/ rather than blog.example.com) The notable exceptions to this are language-specific websites. (i.e., en.example.com for the English version of the website)." I am wondering if this is still Moz's current recommendation on the subfolders vs subdomains debate, given that the above (sort of) implies that SE's may not combine ranking factors to the domain as a whole if subdomains are used - which (sort of) contradicts Matt Cutts last video on the matter ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MswMYk05tk ) which implies that this is not the case and there is so little difference that their recommendation is to use whatever is easiest. It would also seem to me that if you were looking through the eyes of Google, it would be silly to treat them differently if there were no difference at all other than subdomain vs subfolder as one of the main reasons a user would use a sud-domain is a technical on for which it would not make sense for Google to treat differently in terms of its algorithm. I notice that in terms of Moz, while most of the site uses subfolders, you do have http://devblog.moz.com/ - and I was wondering if this is due to a technical reason or conscious decision, as it would seem to me that the content within this section is indeed linkworthy (as it has external links pointing to it from external sources), therefore it would seem to not be following the initial advice that is posted in Moz's basics on domains. Therefore I am assuming it is due to a technical reason - or that Moz's adive is out of date with current Moz thinking, and is indeed in line with Matt C in that it doesn't matter. Cheers

Moz Analytics - Custom Report Question
Hello Moz Forums! I'm having problems building custom reports for my clients. So, i've managed to put together a few reports and I've set these to be scheduled for weekly automated emailing! Now, here's the problem, before sending it to my clients, I was testing this by sending it to myself. This is what I receive: http://www.freelance-seo.co.uk/images/Moz.png I don't really want my clients to see 'By Moz!' everywhere when I send this out, is there a way to change this automated mail? Or a way to just just send the PDF without a link? Alternatively, have I just failed in using this product? Edit: Just to clarify! The 'simply change your report settings' option, just takes me to an option to edit the report title, not the email in any way.

Moz Analytics - Custom Report Question
Hello Moz! I haven't been here since the days of SEOMoz, but it's great to be back and i'm really pleased to see lot of shiny new tools at my disposal, but I do have a question in regards to functionality. If I have, for example, 15 clients in my dashboard and would like to run the same report for all of them. Assuming that I just finished creating a custom report for my first client, how can I duplicate this report without having to re-create this report 15 times? Additionally, while I am here. I have noticed that when I add a campaign, the last screen never finishes loading and the window seems to freeze. A quick refresh fixes this, but I thought i'd flag it 🙂

How does MOZ assign a keyword to a page in the On Page Grades by Keyword Ranking
I'm in the beta analytics tool. In the On Page Optimization > On Page Grades by Keyword section, there is a Keyword column with a keyword assigned to each URL on my site. http://analytics.moz.com/search/on-page/572409.326269 How is the keyword that is shown here decieed upon? Is it simply based on a guess of the "best keyword" for each page based on kwp density and other factors? Can I map a new keyword to each page? or at least to my top ten most important pages? I see I can check the grade for any keyword on any page here: http://analytics.moz.com/search/manage-page-grades/572409.326269. I want to map my top ten pages to ten keywords - can I save these changes in the system so I don't have to manually check a keyword/url match each time? Shaun
