Hey, can anyone help with this?
I am receiving extremely different results running spam score tests with and without www in moz.
No www - is getting a spam score 8
And with www. is 1.Should I be worried here, and how should I move to handle this?
Thanks in advance guys

Hi Darko,
Sorry, my above comment was more a solution than an explanation.
Due to for Google and Moz the www and the non www are different websites, you might have different spam score results. The same applies for the http and the https versions of a website.
As Meghan sayd, depending on the inbound links each version of your website has, the spam score result might differ each other.
Therefore, the solution is to chose one version, only one and force to that option ie no matter how is written the chosen option will be displayed. Which one? the one that already has better inbound links. If more than one version of your website has already inbound links, a good option is to set a permanent redirect - 301 - from one to the other, so to carry the "link juice". Hope this clarifies a bit. -
Thanks, guys. That explains it I guess:)

Hi there!
Thanks so much for the question! Sorry for any confusion here!
Your spam score in Open Site Explorer is partly based on your link profile in our Mozscape index which means that if sites are linking to you with the www version of your site and not the non-www version (or vice versa), the stats in Open Site Explorer will be based on those links. This would be why you’re seeing a different Spam score and other differing stats when you query the www vs non-www versions of your site. Depending on your SEO strategy and your link building strategy, it may be worth monitoring both in OSE.
I also want to make sure to mention that unlike other metrics you see in OSE, the Spam Score isn’t updated monthly so some of the flags you’re seeing may not be relevant to your site anymore. This score is updated much less frequently so we always recommend using your best judgement when looking at these- for example, if we’re flagging your site for not having contact info but you know it is there, you can ignore that flag.
I hope this helps! If you have any other questions or need any further help, please feel free to reach out to help@moz.com

Hi Darko,
It is important that you chose only one option for your website. If the www and non www versions of your website are working at the same time, you will have duplicated content issues. Chose the version that you are using into the host provider options for show your website (the one that has good inbound links). Also for Google those are completely different websites:
How to do it?:
https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/6332964?Where?
https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/What properties?:
http://example.com/
https://example.com/
http://www.example.com/
https://www.example.com/After all those were done:
Into this property only: https://www.example.com/ (Assuming that you prefer the https www version)
verify the robot texts
upload a sitemap
fetch as googleGood luck!

High Spam Score
Hi, The spam score of the site is very high: Guru99 Per Link Explorer: https://www.screencast.com/t/0Tq0rjkAbC But Moz is taking into account many spammy links that are already 404 or expired domains. If such domains are exluded the Spam score will be very less Why is this?

Open Site Explorer Messge - Mysite.com redirects to www.mysite.com
Hello All, When I plug in my site's URL http://mysite.com ( Not my actual URL of-course) into the OpenSiteExplorer tool I get the following message: "You entered the URL http://Mysite.com which redirects to http://www.Mysite.com/.
Link Explorer | | jjimen03
Because it's likely to have more accurate metrics, we're showing data for the redirected URL instead.
Click here to analyze http://Mysite.com instead?" Not sure why I am getting this message. On my hosting server, I have defined my preferred domain to be the non-www. version. I have also used a Canonical Tag on Mysite.com/index.html file ( ). In addition, on Google Search Console ( Webmaster Tools ) , I have added both the www. and non-www. properties, where on both property settings, I have defined the non-www. version as my preferred one. Also, on my server, I have not implemented any 301 redirects at all. So my questions are: Why am I receiving this message when plugging in my non-www. URL version of my website into OpenSiteExplorer? Is my DA or PA possibly being split up between the two versions as a result? Should I be concerned? How can I fix this? Thanks in advance.0 -

Can't make sense of OSE and MOZ.
I checked this site on my OSE and it shows only 7 inbound links a DA of 14 and no social activity whatsoever yet when I check it on Majestic it shows ExternalBacklinks 71 ReferringDomains 20 Referring IPs 19 Referring Subnets 19 . And.. the page is #1 on google search for hypnotherapy michigan. How can it rate so poorly on MOZ, show so much more on majestic and rank so high on google? I thought MOZ data was supposed to be among the best and that top rated pages on google should also rate high on MOZ. here is the site http://hypnotherapy-detroit.com Additionally, when i look at the site, i notice that most of the backlinks are exchanged links and this site's link exchange page isn't even linked from the home page. Now I thought that kind of link exchange game was now discounted by Google. I don't get it. No social pages at all... low page rank... no new content.. so by MOZ standards there is no justification for this page to be anywhere near page one let alone at position #1. Can someone help me make sense of all this?

How long will it take for the changes we've made to reflect in Moz OSE spam score data?
I signed up for Moz to see the spam flags our site had triggered. As soon as I found out, we worked on it and have been trying to correct our mistakes but it's been more than a month and we've managed to neutralise zero flags. I would appreciate if someone can clarify how long the OSE data takes to refresh. Also, how do you combat the following three specific flags: Ratio of Followed to Nofollowed Subdomains Ratio of Followed to Nofollowed Domains Low Number of Pages Found Crawl only gets a valid response to a small number of pages. Thanks.

Question in regards to Comparing Metrics with MOZ tools
Hi all! After using the "Compare Links Metrics" in the research tools, a few questions popped up. Particularly, in regards to what key metrics to look for when determining if a websites outbound links are trustworthy and may pass Link-juice. Basically, "if my link is put on that website, will search engines trust it"? I've copied an example below and typed a few comments next to particular metrics. Please share some insight them: Page Authority: 48 Page MozRank: 4.94 -Is 4.94 considered OK? Page MozTrust: 4.96 -Is 4.96 considered OK? Internal Equity-Passing Links: 2,819 External Equity-Passing Links: 2,326 -Lower = better? Total Equity-Passing Links: 5,145 Total Internal Links: 2,844 Total External Links: 2,383 - Lower = better? Total Links: 5,227 Followed Linking Root Domains: 88 Total Linking Root Domains: 129 Linking C Blocks: 30 Equity-Passing Links vs
Link Explorer | | 90miLLA
Non-Equity-Passing Links:** I am assuming that the higher the Non-equity passing links VS the Equity passing links is typically better? What would be an idea ratio?** Internal Links vs
External Links: Lower external = better?0
