Using Moz Local for Two Businesses / Two Websites but One Building
-
I'd like to use Moz Local for two of my clients who share a space. The first one is an independent tattoo artist, who operates inside a larger tattoo shop. Both the tattoo shop and this individual artist have websites, and they'd both like me to optimize for local search. Will this be a problem using Moz Local to add both businesses? I will buy two different Moz Local subscriptions for them, but I don't want one business to override the other since they're inside the same address.
Thanks!

Hi there,
Sam from Moz's Help Team here!
So, two listings with very similar NAP information (Name, Address, Phone number) won't cause any problems with the distribution functions of Moz Local, but could pose difficulties for the reporting functions of the tool. Moz Local uses those three NAP elements to identify each individual location, so overlapping data can easily confuse its computer brain.
Listing irregularities will be ironed out over time, as the updated data is accepted and propagated across our partners' servers. Over time, the individual/separate listings will get up to speed like any other location.
In terms of Listing Score, Inconsistencies, and Duplicates, any overlapping NAP data can make for some funny results. You may see Moz Local confuse Location A's listings for Location B's - especially if Location A has been managed for a longer period of time and has updated data with our partners, but Location B is newer and not yet fully established. As the separate locations' listings are successfully created and updated with our partners, these reporting mistakes will diminish.
All of the above said, we always recommend that both listings within one address have their own unique, identifying phone numbers.
If you have any follow up questions, just let me know!

You can manage as many business listing as you want but of course, all depends on your subscription plan. So need to keep in mind that you will pay per location/business and per features.
In your case, you want to add 2 business or listing you will have to choose which plan suits your needs
- Essential--------> 99.00
- Professional----> 179.00
- Premium--------> 249.00
If you have experience on SEO and you are familiar with this kind of tool, go for the Essential Plan. If you think that you will need some guide then the Professional Plan is for you. The Premium plan is for agencies and developers the main difference is its offer API integration and based on your comments this not the case
You can check and compare all the plans available

I am new to MOZ
I just purchased MOZ local for a client on a brand new location. I had already submitted the NAP to the big four google, yahoo, bing, yelp. I purchased the 99/year basic plan and now I am a bit confused. Will MOZ submit to the local directories in the network or out of the network that does not have a listing in place (Business New Address) so no listings exist besides the ones I mentioned. Also, it says it will send it to all four aggregators, is this true and how can I verify? Can someone explain what I should expect? YIKES, I hope this is not a dumb question for those MOZer gurus :). If it doesn't what did I just buy? A way to monitor Google? Please assist. I need to get NAP data out there for local directories for a customer. Should I have done this a different way? Thanks in advance,

Moz Local - duplicate descriptions
Hello, I was looking at Moz Local and saw that you are supposed to enter a business "description". However, I'm pretty sure local directories will not want duplicate descriptions - can I leave the description blank and then add varied descriptions directly? Is that a way around this issue? Your thoughts would be welcome.

Moz Local & Fourscare
Hi! I hope I didn't just mess myself up. I signed up for Moz Local, but I already had a foursquare account. I did authenticate it... but then I read that maybe I shouldn't have done this. Did I mess it up? If so, can I correct it?

Moz Local Form Clarification
For Operating hours it's not clear (at least to me) what to do if you're not open at all on a day, like Saturday and Sunday. Do I just not put down the 1 and the 7 or add them with 0's. Please provide an example, so I can just cut and paste, if you don't mind. Thanks Moz, Ruben
