GA4 account & property not showing in traffic property setup list.
-
Hi there,
I've connected multiple client accounts to GA4 already, but three of our accounts that we have administrator rights to in GA4 are not showing up in our selectable accounts/properties list when logged in via Moz to add to the traffic settings area.
Anyone else have this issue and find a fix?
-
@ajrunthakurseo it was Moz/Google API related and from what this thread mentions it sounds like a fix has been deployed.

Anyone else have this issue and find a fix?I understand the issue you're facing with the three client accounts not showing up in the selectable accounts/properties list in Moz when trying to add them to the traffic settings area. This could be caused by a few different factors, and I'll provide some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem:
Check Permissions: Ensure that you have the correct permissions in Google Analytics for the accounts you're trying to access via Moz. Make sure you have at least "Read & Analyze" access to the accounts in question.
Verify Data Sharing Settings: Confirm that data sharing settings are properly configured in Google Analytics for the accounts that are missing in Moz. In the Google Analytics admin settings, check the "Data Sharing Settings" under the "Account Settings" section, and ensure that sharing with third-party applications like Moz is allowed.
Refresh and Reauthorize: Sometimes, connections between Moz and Google Analytics might encounter hiccups. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the Google Analytics account in Moz. This action can refresh the connection and reauthorize the access.
Check Account Limit in Moz: Moz might have limitations on the number of Google Analytics accounts you can connect. Ensure that you haven't reached the limit and, if necessary, remove any unnecessary or outdated connections to free up space for the missing accounts.
Review GA4 Property Settings: Double-check that the missing GA4 properties have been properly set up and activated in Google Analytics. Also, ensure they are visible in the GA4 interface itself.
I hope these steps help you in resolving the issue. If you need any further assistance, feel free to ask!

@Kateparish This was not the case since it was Moz/Google API related.

I have 3 GA4 accounts that are not showing up in Moz. I have checked permissions and refreshed browser, but they are still not showing up. Moz support said they are aware of the issue and working on a fix. In the meantime, I can invite my personal business email in as an admin on the remaining Analytics accounts and connect to GA4 via Moz through my personal Google account to scrape the remaining accounts.
Yep this is the fix for right now.

Even if you are an administrator in GA4, it sounds like you might be having a permissions problem. At the account, property, and data stream levels, make sure that all rights, including "Edit," are enabled. If the problem continues, a bug might be the cause. The best course of action in this situation might be to contact Moz support. They might have to upgrade their systems to work with GA4 more effectively. Just keep in mind that as GA4 is still very new, certain integrations may still need some work.

So this was something I figured out, but then had support verify. Apparently there's a fix coming, but for anyone that has more than 20 GA4 accounts in their Google Analytics account, Google will only scrape 20 accounts, leaving many off (especially if you're an agency like us).
I ended up inviting my personal business email in as an admin on the remaining Analytics accounts and connecting to GA4 via Moz through my personal Google account to scrape the remaining accounts.
Not an ideal solution, but hopefully this helps others until there's a fix.

@luminusagency It sounds like you might be facing a permissions issue, even if you are an admin in GA4. Ensure all permissions, including "Edit," are enabled across all levels - account, property, and data streams. If the issue persists, you might be encountering a bug. In this case, reaching out to Moz support might be the next best step. They might need to update their systems to better interface with GA4. Remember, GA4 is relatively new, and integrations might still need ironing out the kinks.

Blog article cannibalizes our home page
Hello there, We're having a rather big SEO issue that I’m hoping someone here can help us with, perhaps having experienced the same thing or simply understanding what's going on. Since around June, our website's home page has lost the majority of its most important rankings. Not just dropping, but losing them entirely and all at once. We think it was self-inflicted: Almost at the same time, a blog article of ours (which we had recently updated) started ranking for almost all the same keywords. While our home page is a commercial page highlighting only our own product, the article that usurped the position is a comparison article, comparing our own solution to competitors. The reason we created that article is because we noticed a trend of Google increasingly favoring such comparison articles over dedicated product pages. But of course we didn’t plan to cannibalize our own home page with it. My question is whether anyone has experience with such a case? Is there a way to "tell"/influence Google to rank our home page again, instead of ranking that article? Thanks a lot, Pascal

Custom Events Not Showing in GA4
I have some experience in successfully creating custom events for GA4 via Tag Manager, but I have one account where my events are firing in GTM but not showing at all in GA4 (not real time or anywhere). I have twice done them over and published my changes but still no luck. Any ideas what else the issue can be? There are no internal filters at the moment. Thank you.

Google Analytics - Referral traffic being reported as Direct traffic
Hi, I have a link on my www homepage to another subdomain website. Both websites are served on https, and have independent Google Analytics properties. However, the traffic from the www site to the subdomain site is being reported as Direct, and not Referral traffic. Any ideas why? See image provided for context... RCn6HER

Since the 6th June there has been a serious drop in search impressions and clickthroughs in my GA + webmaster accounts.
Since the 6th June there has been a serious drop in organic search impressions and click throughs in my GA + webmaster accounts for my website. This leads me to believe my site has been punished for something? Where would be the best place to start diagnosing the issue causing the drop in search traffic? 2T9hz.jpg

Has Google changed its algorithm? My traffic has almost doubled and I don't know why.
My traffic has nearly doubled over the past few days, and my conversion rate has doubled as well. It looks like our rankings haven't changed... We haven't done anything to the site recently, although we did submit a couple of press releases through the wire not too long ago (within the last few weeks). I do not think that this is a cyclical/seasonal jump in traffic because last year this did not occur. Any ideas?
