How many links per week/month should a link building campaign acquire?
-
I am running a linkbuilding campaign for my company. I am mostly focusing on guest blogging opportunities and responding to emails from HARO. How many links would I have to acquire each week or month to be considered doing a good job over a 6 month or a year time period?
Thank you,

What do you do to determine the quality of a site to acquire a link from? Is it just a Moz score of 50 or more? Is it just a link from an industry you are targeting?
We are a B2B Company, so we feel we can link to a diverse range of industries and topics. Some times I look at a company with a Moz DA of 30 and think it is a good link to acquire because we want to sell to that industry. Sometimes even more so than another link I acquire that might have a Moz DA of 50. I never link to sites that dont make sense for our business.industry. Is this a good strategy or should I keep my focus on the high Moz DA first?
Thanks for any help. I realize this response is kind of jumping all over the place.

I agree with Jordan - Quality over quantity, always. That being said, you need to make sure your links are coming from ideal sources. I think there is a pecking order to linkbuilding, and it goes as follows:
- Follow/NoFollow
- Link strength
- Link relevancy
- Number of links from differing sources
5) Number of links
Other factors may be involved here such as how many people are involved in the campaign (if it's only you, there are obviously lower expectations than if you have a full team working on it).
Also keep in mind that Penguin 4.0 was released a few weeks ago so the quality of your link profile is very important. That being said, penalties are (theoretically) less impactful and easier to overcome, so feel free to experiment with link building strategies beyond simple guest posting to maximize your incoming link juice and get your rankings improving.
Lastly, remember to spread your inbound links over pages that are relevant to the topic of pages your are blogging on. Don't send everything to your homepage if you have a relevant page somewhere deeper in your site.
If you want to discuss some strategies to help improve your effectiveness/efficiency, feel free to reach out and I will help out as best I can.
Cheers!

I think quality links should be taken into consideration more heavily over quantity. A few quality backlinks would be a lot more beneficial than a vast amount of poor backlinks.
Don't try to quantify how much focus on the quality while building strategic marketing relationships and you will be fine.

Link building - unique root domains
Hi there, I was wondering when asking for a link, does where on this page it is? For example will someone's high traffic website (e.g. example.com ) provide more page authority than another link on this site ( e.g. example.com/blog ). If this is the case, is it best to get links from multiple pages if possible or will this not effect SEO? Thanks

Link Building Cost
Can anyone share typically what a US Based SEO Agency should or would charge for creating good quality backlinks? All of the pages we are targeting have been optimized with quality content and are ranking half decent. The keywords we are targeting are med-high competition keywords. We've located a few offshore agencies with prices in the 100$ range for 10 keywords but are leery of moving forward, currently it's the cost we are paying for 1 Keyword here in the US. Thank You!

Also nofollow backlinks have any effect on the SERP? Thanks.

Link Building Ideas?
Hi everyone, I am currently working on a site where people can buy mail-order bagels, i.e. the bagels are shipped via postal mail. It's a good alternative for places that have no good bagel stores nearby, especially in small, rural towns. I am about to launch a link-building campaign for the website, but am a little stuck as to where to begin. My first thought was guest posting, but it seems like the vast majority of food blog owners are very protective of their blogs and rarely, if ever, allow guest posts. I also thought about doing sponsored reviews (i.e. sending mommy bloggers free samples in exchange for a review), but that's essentially a paid link, i.e. a no-no. There are of course generic web directories, but those only get you so far, and article marketing is out of the question (too spammy). Was hoping I might be able to bounce off some ideas off of you all. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for whatever tips/ideas you might be able to share 🙂 Lukas

What are your favorite link building tools?
I know there are a bunch out there, but I'd love to hear your guys thoughts. The more tools you post, and the more unknown they are (i.e. everyone knows OSE, Raven Tools, Buzzstream, Ontolo, etc.), the more I'd love the answer. Also, it doesn't have to be a comprehensive tool. Even if it's a bookmarklet, or something that solves one specific tedious task, I'd love to hear about it! 🙂

I cannot get any links indexed to this website http://atglimo.com.
I have written nofollow, follow links, issued a press release, and submitted to the Universal Business Listing. None of these links are showing in the Yahoo index. I did a nofollow bookmark with delicious and it disappeared the next day. The people that built the website will not grant FTP access and modded the HTACCESS file incorrectly to point to a WWW. version of the site. I had them remove the index.html duplicate content problem. What is going on? Why are no links showing in the index for this site?
