Does anyone know what the %5C at the end of a URL is?
-
I've just had a look at the crawl diagnostics and my site comes up with duplicate page content and duplicate titles. I noticed that the url all has %5C at the end which I've never seen before. Does anybody know what that means?
-
Greg,
Were you able to figure this out? I just ran into the same issue and was hoping for a little more insight
-
Thanks Mike, I'll double check cause but as far as I'm aware there shouldn't be. Thanks again.

5C is the hex code for '' (backward slash). Maybe you have a backward slash where you mean to have a forward slash '/'? Ascii codes here: http://www.asciitable.com/

Pages with URL Too Long
Hello Mozzers! MOZ keeps kindly telling me the URLs are too long. However, this is largely due to the structure of E-commerce site, which has to include 'brand' 'range' and 'products' keyword. For example -

If it is an issue, how to fix it on my site?
If it's not an issue, how can we turn off this alert from MOZ?
Anyone know how big an issue URLs are as a ranking factor? I thought pretty low.0 -

Good job! This URL received an grade A ?
What does this mean ? This page still ranks very bad at Google. So what does it mean that it recives a grade A ?Also, if this URL recives Grade A. It should clearly be optmizied very good on the Keyword. Stil its on page 9 in google. That is very very low on this keyword. Alot of bad blogs, foreign pages, pages without the keyword in heading, pages without any good content etc. rank better.Does this score have anything to do with ranking on google ?Something is clearly wrong with this page. The on-grade tool wont tell me what that it is. And probably dont understand either, since it gives A. Is there anywhere I can check this page on what is wrong with it ?http://www.butikksiden.no/archives/5-toffe-canada-goose-jakker and Canada Goose jakker Re-Grade Pa Good Job! Help me to know why are all pages not being tracked by the Moz tool for on-page optimization reports?
The On-page Optimization report that the Moz tool shows, is not tracking all the pages from my website. I know this because it isn't showing a ranking for all pages on my website. Is there a particular reason why this is happening? It is important for me to know details of all pages, else it does not give me a comprehensive picture of what's going on in SEO.

Where does the crawler find the urls?
The SEO Moz crawler has found a number of 500 error pages, and 404s etc which is very useful 🙂 however some of the urls are weird/broken formats we don't recognise and nobody remembers ever using - not weird enough to imply hacking, but something broken in the CMS Is there anyway to find out where the crawler found these urls? I can patch up and redirect the end result as best I can but I would prefer to fix plug the leak thanks 🙂

A grade but no ranking. Can anyone help?
Hi there, I'm new to SEOmoz but familiar with SEO in general. I recently setup a new campaign for my wife's eCommerce business - www.toucankids.com. We optimized 6 pages for 6 well researched key phrases. These pages have been indexed by Google however they didn't show up in the on page reports section of SEOmoz. I've just worked out how to add them manually so i've done that. The good news is that all of the pages get an A grade so we must be doing something right. The bad news is that we haven't got a top 50 result for any of them which is quite disheartening. I'd rather not invest lots of effort more page optimisation if this approach isn't working. Can anyone offer any advice on next steps / fine-tuning? Thanks in advance! P.S. We're going through a process of link building to try and improve our domain authority at the moment so i'm hoping that Friday's linkscape update will give us some better news in that department.

Why do I keep getting "more than one canonical URL tag" on-page factor when, in fact, there is always only one?
The following are pages that SEOMOZ says have "more than one canonical URL tag" but they all have only one.
