Google Analytics and Adwords Tracking Codes
-
A site I help someone with in link building was recently redesigned. I do not have access to the site in any way. Well, after the redesign, no conversions were tracking in Adwords and Analytics ecommerce tracking showed no transactions and no amounts.
I found the Analytics code and sent it to their programmer. I have linked the Adwords and Analytics accounts. So now conversions are tracked in Adwords and transactions are tracked in Analytics.
However, amounts have vanished and not returned. I'm not technically savvy enough to figure this out. How do I get this Analytics code to track transaction amounts so that they appear in Adwords and in Analytics ecommerce tracking?
-
That's just it, their web developer has all sorts of problems. I had to set up their wild card redirect because he had no idea how. Now I'm having to figure out how to install this tracking stuff because he has no idea. Would be a lot easier if they had a web developer that knew web development

Marcin is correct its called e-commerce tracking for analytics and your web developer should be able to put it in no problem.
-
The tracking code must be customized to include the value. It's pretty simple, but you must ask the programmer to add the required snippet.
Full explanation is provided here:
http://code.google.com/apis/analytics/docs/tracking/gaTrackingEcommerce.html
This explanation includes a complete example of a valid tracking code which includes values (both transaction value, and prices of individual items added to the cart).
Hope it helps.

Google Adwords Clicks not registering properly???
Hello Moz World, I am running a Google Adwords campaign utilizing Google Search and Search Partners only. These are traditional text ads. When I look at the analytics through Google Adwords, I am seeing 60 clicks. Great! However, when I look through the keywords in the ad groups, none of my keywords are registering clicks. I also checked search terms under the keyword tab, and no keywords are populating. Where are my ads being clicked, and how can I view information on these clicks. This is a relatively new campaign, and I am still trying to figure out if I am targeting the right keywords. Thanks ahead of time for all the great responses! B/R Will H.

Adding AdWords Remarketing Pixel to "Partner" Domains?
I have read through the AdWords advertising policies, but there isn't an extremely clear answer to my question: does it break AdWords policy to include a remarketing pixel on a partner website? Example - I own and run 123boats.com, my acquaintance who owns abchotels.com has agreed to put my remarketing pixel on his website, and I plan to show remarketing ads to his website visitors advertising my services at 123boats.com. Is anyone aware of any documentation that explicitly allows or disallows this type of "partner" remarketing tracking?

Question regarding Google Adwords?
Just had a question regarding Google Adwords. I have an e-commerce store (kiwimodfurniture.com) in the furniture niche and I originally was planning to create a different ad group for each product. Since I have 1300 products I would have 1300 ad groups. However a lot of the products don't have enough search volume and Google won't display my ads. Then I decided to get a bit more broad. I plan on having an ad group for each sub category on my website. For example, modern lounge chairs, modern arm chairs, modern sofas, etc. Question: Is this too broad? Will the ROI be terrible because of this? Thanks!

Adwords & Analytics Different Product Listing Results
Hi We have recently set up a Product Listings ad campaign via AdWords and have seen some impressive initial figures in our AdWords account. However, when viewing data from the same period in Analytics it shows completely different statistics. For example, from 1st-16th June, AdWords shows 604 clicks and 29 conversions from our Product Listings campaign but Google Analytics only shows 23 clicks and 0 conversions across the same period. Any ideas why these variations show? Is there any additional tracking code that needs to be inserted at all? Thanks

Google CPP
I'm having some issues setting up a Google CPP extension, and am looking for help. I just set up a new ad group with a call extension. The bid for CPP is high enough to cover the adword bid plus $1 for the call. However, it is saying that the ad is ineligible. Research is leading me to believe that you need to have 25-40 clicks on an ad in a month in order to qualify. This will be difficult provided the budget and style of the ad. I also have another ad group under the same campaign. That has 79 clicks in the last month. Google is marking this ad as ineligible as well. What do I need to do to make the ad eligible? Anyone have some advice or something that I've missed? The ad extension itself and phone number have been approved. Thanks again for your help!

Adwords search term report processing help
So I've downloaded my 6000 row adwords search term report, and want to analyses brand keywords and variants only....I could do this by brute force, but I'll want to do it again in a month or two. I have a nice regex string which will do the job but can't find a way to implement a solution. Is there a good way to do this? Or is there a better way? Adwords won't let me filter using regex, Excel needs vb setup to use regex and I've tried the regex in Libre Calc (doesn't return the correct results).
