5% CTR is good but 2 cents per click is really low. Other than being in Brazil, I believed you have been 'smart priced' due to the traffic quality you are sending through. Also, when you started using adsense, I assume the CPC was higher right?

Thank you for the straight answer kchan.
My CTR is around 5% and the CPC is at measly 2 cents.
I don't think I can get a 60c CPC, since my traffic is from Brazil, but on the other hand 2 cents seems pathetic.

Hello,
I would like to ask what is your CTR like? Since your website is targets the younger audience, it is unlikely you would receive a high CPC, say above 60-70 cents per click.
What I would suggest is to only use 2 adsense units a page. This should increase the CPC, because less ads are been displayed(as usually the higher paying CPC's or higher quality ads)
I would suggest using only 300x250, 120/160x 600, 468x68 or 728x90 because these tend to be the best paying/performing ad units. These are better performing because most publishers have designed banners for these ad dimensions.
For your page, I would suggest the top section where you're using the 336x280 to only use one or the left side (preferbally a 300x250 ad unit), and maybe a description of the game or the right. The bottom section you should use a 468x90 advert.
You should also play around with the positioning and coloring of the ad text unit.
How this helps.

How I can exclude "Events" & "Traffic" from a specific IP?
I would like to know how I can exclude the events triggered from a specific IP for example my office' IP address. I've already added a filter to exclude my office's IP address, but the "events" are still showing in the new view. TIA!

Need Advice on Home page Conversion Rate Improvement - not much $$s
Anyone out there have some suggestions for how I can improve my home page and increase my lousy conversion rate? I've spent years on the content and SEO optimization of my site and very little time on making a home page that sells stuff. Caveat - I don't have the money to go to one of those fancy companies who do a complete makeover and charge in the tens of thousands. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Shorter checkout form converts better? Or can it be harmful?
I've frequently read that the shorter the checkout form the better. My checkout form has the following fields: First name Last name Email Username Password Retype password Card number Card expiration date CVV code Billing street Billing city Billing state Billing zip Here's the thing. Since it's a web-app, I don't need the "billing address" as I'm not physically shipping them anything. Should I remove it? The no-brainer answer seems to be "yes", but I'm wondering if folks don't see any billing address fields, it may look suspicious. Conversions for having it and not don't seem to make much difference, so I suppose I'm looking for some tie-breaker opinions. The "password" and "retype password" fields could be eliminated by emailing the user's a system-generated password. But once again, could a user see this as odd or suspicious and then abandon? Even if I tell them I'll be emailing them a password? They could be sensitive thinking we'd email the wrong email address due to system error or their own typo. I could also eliminate the CVV and not validate against that. But once again, could a user seeing the CVV gone become wary? As much as I'd like to have "guest checkout' it's not feasible. The app is tied to a logged in account, which would also make eliminating the "username" impossible. Based on all the above, I could trim down the form considerably, but would I be doing more harm than good? I could A/B test it, but I don't believe I have a sufficient number of users to test against. Everything I buy, physical or online app, has an address field, so perhaps folks are accustomed to filling out this stuff and I should just keep it to align with user expectations? Thanks.

How accurate is the Geo-Targeting of Google and Bing/Yahoo PPC ads?
I have a client who serves a local market and who has had trouble in the past with people out of her service area clicking on ads. She asked how accurate the geo-targeting option is. I know it's not possible to be completely accurate resolving the location of IP addresses, but was wondering if there are any recent statistics out there regarding how accurate or inaccurate geo-targeting is. I did some quick searches but did not see any current numbers. Many Thanks!
