Schema address question
-
I have a website that has a contact us page... of course and on that page I have schema info pointing out the address and a few other points of data.
I also have the address to the business location in the footer on every page.
Would it be wiser to point to the schema address data on the footer instead of the contact page? And are there any best practices when it comes down to how many times you can point to the same data, and on which pages?
So should I have schema address on the contact us page and the footer of that page, that would be twice, which could seem spammy.
Haven't been able to find much best practices info on schema out there.
Thanks, Cy

Do you have any results yet Cyril? Curious as to how this is going.

Excellent. Keep me posted? We do much the same on our site as far as the address, and haven't had any issues (yet).

Thanks for the reply Ian,
I'm about to schema the shit out of this site ... use it as a ginney pig and see what happens.

My gut says put it on every page. From a local SEO standpoint that has to help, since it means more pages with location data on them.
I don't know any best practices though - I doubt there's a specific number of mentions that's better or worse.
On the contact us page itself, do what makes sense. To me, that means having the schema markup attached to both the footer and the 'main' address.
Because it does make sense, and it's not like you're shoehorning the content in there, you should be fine.

Canonical question for cross-listed product listings
We have products that are listed across multiple categories. This results in muliple urls for the PDP, for example: mystore.com/shirts/shirt-101.html mystore.com/shirts/pink-shirts/shirt-101.html They make use of the canonical tag and point back to only one product listing url, however Google has indexed both urls in some cases. Has anyone else run up against this and does anyone have advice on how this should be handled?

.htaccess Question
Hi,I have a website www.contractor-accounts.co.uk that has an .htaccess file that strips .php and forces a closing brace /. The site is now over 6 months old and still has a very low ranking with MOZ also rating the site as DA/PA = 1 which seems to indicate some sort of issue with the website. Can anyone offer any suggestions as to why this site is ranking poorly as much of the onpage SEO has been completed to a level of 90%+ for specific keyterms so I'm probably either looking at routing of the framework of so other technical SEO issues possibly? SEO Question - Are 503/504 errors an issue?
Lately I've noticed more and more 503/504 errors being flagged in my MOZ reports. One week I had over 1300 errors show up. I checked Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster tools and noticed they were showing up in there too, although not near as many (50 or less per day). I contacted my hosting company about it and they said these were normal and that it was due to one nameserver reaching capacity, but that there was a backup nameserver that kicks in. I've seen one or two of these errors show up before, but never more than one or two a week. Is this something I should be concerned about?

Moving Blog Question
Site A is my primary site. I created a blog on site B and wrote good content and gave links back to site A. I think this is causing a penalty to occur. I no longer want to update site B and want to move the entire blog and it's content to sitea.com/blog. Is this a good idea or should I just start a fresh/new sitea/blog and just remove the links from site B to site A?

Domains and Hosting Question
I bought hosting for unlimited domains on Godaddy. It's not a dedicated server. It was just $85 a year. I have unlimited latency but a limited amount of "space." I don't know a lot about hosting servers etc... My question is relatively simple. When I go in GoDaddy to my hosting. There is a site that shows up as hosted, and all of the other sites show up under that site in it's directory. If you type the name of the site I bought the hosted package on, then type a forward slash and the name of one of the other sites on the hosting package, you will actually go to the other website. What is this relationship? Is it normal? Does that make all of my websites subdomains of the main site (that I bought the hosting package on)? I don't fully comprehend how this effects everything...

Name Address Phone NAP For Dentists
I've been working with dentists for a about 6 months but there is something that I feel I need to nail down. When looking at directory listings and trying to standardize a dental practice NAP, many dentists have their company name in many different formats. Here is what I have seen so far. Advanced Dental Care of Chicago

Advanced Dental Care of Chicago Drs Davidson, Richardson & Smith
Angela Davidson DDS
Davidson, Richardson & Smith - Advanced Dental Care of Chicago What happens here is that with dentistry, the doctors name is as important as the practice name. Many people hear about a doctor and Google by the doctors name. Others Google the practice name. It almost makes sense to put both the practice name and the doctors name in the Business name but as you can see, the practice name can get real long especially if they have 5 other doctors working there. On top of that, some doctors don't stick around the practice that long so you end up with business listings containing old dental partners. Trying to come to a consensus on the best way to list a dental practice.1
