Wordpress question
-
I was curious when i run an OSE report on certain websites and their name.wordpress.com shows up with a PA of whatever and a DA of 100. But when I created my wordpress site and post on it, it only has a PA and DA of 1. is this because SEOmoz has not indexed it yet? It is a month old.

Can anyone help pls?

Correct often it does show as 100 once you have some links etc -but keep in mind - Wordpress is a strong domain but your subdomain gets treated like its own domain so you dont magically get a DA of 100 and rank for competitive terms your PA and backlink profile need to get built up as well

301 redirect file question
Hi Everyone, I am creating a list of 301 redirects to give to a developer to put into Magento. I used Screaming Frog to crawl the site, but I have noticed that all of their urls 302 to another page. I am wondering if I should 301 the first URL to the url on the new site, or the second. I am thinking the first, but would love some confirmation. Thank you!

Wordpress Hatom problem
Hi, in Webmaster Tools i receive the following warnings: hatom-feedhatom-entry:Warning: At least one field must be set for HatomEntry.Warning: Missing required field "entry-title".Warning: Missing required field "updated".Warning: Missing required hCard "author".I googled a few strategies how to solve this problem but is it for SEO purpose really necessary to edit Theme core code to satisfy google's warnings?

Changing title tag in wordpress media pages
Hello! I have a problem of duplicate title on 59 pages in Worpress. I Guess it happened after a recent WP update, because, suddenly, I got a peak of 59 from zero in a day. The SeoMoz crawl report states that there are 59 duplicate title. As you may see in the picture those are all media pages, whose title is written really badly with the formula postname/filename/blogTitle, ending up with trunkated, too long, title tags, that result in duplicate page title. How can I simply hide these mediapages or sculpting the title tag the way I want? I am using all-in-one-seo WP plugin, which doesn't seem to provide a solution. Thank you all! Hosted Wordpress Blog creating Duplicate Content
In my first report from SEOmoz, I see that there are a bunch of "duplicate content" errors that originate from our blog hosted on Wordpress. For example, it's showing that the following URLs all have duplicate content: http://blog.kultureshock.net/2012/11/20/the-secret-merger/ys/

http://blog.kultureshock.net/2012/11/20/the-secret-merger/bv/ They all lead to the various images that have been used in various blog posts. But, I'm not sure why they are considered duplicate content because they have unique URLs and the title meta tag is unique for each one, too. But even so, I don't want these extraneous URLs cluttering up our search results, so, I'm removing all of the links that were automatically created when placing the images in the posts. But, once I do that, will these URLs eventually disappear, or continue to be there? Because our blog is hosted by Wordpress, I unfortunately can't add any of the SEO plugins I've read about, so, wondering how to fix this without special plugins. Thanks!

Wordpress Category Archives
Wordpress question here. Can anyone tell me if there is an SEO advantage to creating a page filtered to show results from an individual category as opposed to simply linking to the category archive? The content is identical in both cases.

404 erros on wordpress blog
Both SEOMOZ and Google webmaster tools report lots of 404 errors throughout my wordpress blog. I have the url structure set to category/title Most of the 404 errors seem to be that the crawler is looking for a /home.html page. Each time I add a new post I get more 404 errors. I could, of course, add 301 redirects but I presume there is an easy way to do this within the WP setup. Any ideas? Thanks
