Disclaimer in footer - is it affecting my SEO?

For legal reasons I am required to include a 266 word disclaimer in the footer of every page of my credit card comparison site creditcards.com.au. My question is in 2 parts:

is this indexable content likely to be hurting my SEO?

if so, what is the best way to include the text in the footer but prevent search engines from indexing it?

Agreed, if you are keyword stuffing this could have a negative effect. I have seen individual frames indexed before so I'd recommend just using an image, plus it's less development time.

If your disclaimer could be seen as keyword stuffing in the footer then yes this could have a negative effect.
As your domain name is repeated throughout the disclaimer then yes this could be a problem - your domain name is creditcards.com.au
If you need to keep the disclaimer in the footer of each page then have you considered using an iframe???
Using an iframe will mean the content will not be indexed but will still be visible to people using your website.

Trying to SEO a site that used Header Tags for Design
I am trying to SEO a website that was built years ago and uses Header tags for design. The site must have 25 and tags used for design purpose. Is there any way to work around this problem? Perhaps a code that tells Google to ignore these as Headers? The web designers say that they are looking to fix the problem sometime this summer but you never know if that means it a month away or years away. I really want to help this website but I believe that the Header tags are one of the reasons that his site does not show in the top 100 rankings for any keywords. Do we have too many links in our footer?
Hi guys, we have 41 links on our holiday(vacation) rental website, this seems too many when looking at best practice. 24 of these are links to community pages while 8 link to activities pages. The community and activity pages are also accessible from links on the top menu so they are not strictly necessary but do get 10% of site clickthroughs according to Google in-page analytics. I therefore do not want to remove the links if there is no good evidence that google will penalize us for this. What do you think would be best for our site? Thanks, John Tulley. footer.jpg

I have recently switched my images to a CDN (MaxCDN) and all of the images within my post are now get loaded directly from the CDN. Will this affect my Google ranking? Do Google care if the image is hosted physicaly on the domain?
