How To Override rel=nofollow tag

I have a plugin that automatically adds rel="nofollow" to anchor tags that link to external websites. Now I want to make a particular link to override that nofollow tag and pass the page juice to it. How should I go about it? Will adding rel="follow" help?

Hi Hernant,
You should probably adjust the plugin to make sure you can add exceptions to it. Adding rel="follow" won't change anything to do this as follow is not a valid value for the attribute.

Links from Directory Websites with NoFollow Tag
In reviewing our root domain links, I noticed that many of the directories (like Yellow Pages, Insider Pages, Merchant Circle, etc) that there are no follow codes included in the link to our website. Is this a common practice for these directories? Also, I wanted to confirm that this would not help in our link building strategies with any relevant "link juice." Below is a copy and pasted (with some extra characters that shouldn't have copy and pasted), but the key note here is the no follow tag that was included in this link to our site. Nofollow internal links
Hey Moz friends, Need some advise of yours. Trying to add new products and content to my website regularly(nowadays a bit more) to be able to have more internal links and attact the visiters. Figured out most websites dont use nofollow internal links. Are we doing something wrong? this internal nofollow links are affecting the anchor text i assume. Any advantage to make that links follow? Follow or Nofollow?
Hi all, I have a question, which I can not figure out the answer to. I have a web site which collects sporting news articles so that users need only to go to one site to check news about a subject instead of going to all sorts of sites. On the site I simply link out (to over 300 sources). My question is: The links (I have thousands and thousands per day) should they be follow or nofollow? Do I gain anything by having them set to follow. Or do I lose anything by setting them to nofollow? Are nofollow links really not effecting rank?
I honestly find it hard to believe that nofollow links are not being considered for rank. Take for example Google finds 2,000,000 nofollow links for a site. Are they really going to ignore that?

How many nofollow links should we build to have a natural link profile
Hi guys, As with many link builders we have been building lots of dofollow links for our site, so many that mainly our incoming links are dofollow. Some pages have 99.5% dofollow external links which I know is not very natural. In your experience in terms of percentage how much should you have in terms of nofollow external links in your link profile. I noticed SEOMoz has about 12-13% nofollow external links, shall I go with this figure? Thanks guys. David

Link exchange with nofollow return
I own a gaming site and a common practice with gaming sites is to link with other sites that post about similar game franchises. I noticed that some sites do this and they put nofollows on their links back. What is your thought on this? Should I remove their link if they do that? Should I keep it up and just be glad to get thousands of nofollow links in return for some dofollows out of my site?

Nofollow advertisers with high value sites
A site with a high PA/DA links to all of their advertisers on their home page using nofollow. The advertisers generally have high quality sites and none of them are spammy. Having read this forum for the past couple months, it is my understanding that nofollow should be used to control spam links, and is commonly used in the forum section where site owners can not control or vouch for the outgoing links. However, as I understand the topic, there is no benefit to using nofollow for high value sites for which you can recommend, and in particular, when the site is receiving money from the advertisers. The link juice is divided by all the links on the page, both follow and nofollow, and the juice for the nofollow is discarded. I ask this question because we are one of the advertisers on the site. I want to contact them about this issue, and request that they remove the nofollow from the advertiser links. Comments? Best,
