KWs w/ no bids on Google AdWords

When using the Google Keyword Planner to research KWs, is it a correct assumption that if the KW doesn't have a suggested bid, there's probably not going to be a real impact in optimizing for it? Hypothetically, if I saw a high-volume, low-competition KW w/out a suggested bid I'd feel differently, but I'm just seeing it happen with low volume and competition.

So what you are saying is less emphasis on KWs and more emphasis on ideas?
Not quite. What I am saying, is that if you have ideas don't allow volume or bidding or pricing data to frighten you away or discourage you. There could be a lot of money out there. It might be widely distributed but it still can be profitable. I have made nice money by casting a wide net.
Now, changing to a different philosophy.... one that has been more successful for me.... I use the Adwords keyword planner, but in a different way.
I first ask myself... What are the keywords for which I have the expertise, enthusiasm and content creation ability to be highly competitive? Then I go to those SERPs and look at the content that is out there right now. If I can beat it then I am ready to attack. That is the time to look at the keyword planner and determine the exact point of attack and what the keyword data tells me should be explained on my page(s). That is the information that everybody everywhere is asking about. If everybody is asking then it might not be addressed well on the web. The keyword planner data informs content development around the topics that people are asking about. Address them. All of them.
Again I don't allow the keyword planner data to sway my thinking. If it says... "Highly competitive" and "high volume" then I am not frightened off. Why? Because where there is high levels of competition and high levels of traffic there is usually a lot of search diversity and a lot of money changing hands. Even if you get in there for long tail queries you can make a lot of money. But since I attack where I am confident that I can compete head-on with their content that is exactly where I do NOT want the presence of competition to discourage me.
So, I attack and it often works well. Do not fear competition. That is where money is made as long as you have what it takes to compete.

Some people know how to make big money in niches where nobody else has ever guessed (the people who can sell manure or dirt are examples). It is who knows how to do something valuable with that traffic - even if the money per keyword is small. A little money here and a little money there... ads up to big money.
Looking where others have ignored can make you highly successful. Some of the biggest oil discoveries have been made where no one else ever thought to drill, and where many believed that there was none to be found.

So, on our site, we have a list of related blog posts on a page that focuses on bamboo flooring. These blogs posts have anchor text like "What's the best bamboo flooring?" "How to install bamboo flooring." "Yada yada bamboo flooring yada." Because the main keyword for the page is bamboo flooring, would the presence of these words within anchor text on the page be considered as keywords on the bamboo flooring page, affecting that page and possibly stuffing within that page?

Does my website have a bad rank in google because EMD or lack content ?
Hello, I'm a beginner I just started my website xxx a few days ago. I submitted my url to several good quality directories (about 20, the last 3 days), I tried to write different descriptions for each directory. I have a very bad rank on google results (28+) for keywords "psychologue montluçon" I don't know if it's because of : lack of content, EMD, lack of backlinks (I submitted my website to directories, but its seems it takes a lot of time for updates). Organic Keyword Traffic/Strength
Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions to get an accurate search volume on organic traffic? I've been using Google Adwords however there is a big difference in Paid vs. Organic. Moz currently only pulls Bing. Any suggestions much appreciated!! Thank you!

Google Keyword Tool: What is considered a unique keyword?
I'm trying to research keywords using Google's Keyword Tool. After looking at results, I have the following questions: 1. Does singular/plurals of a word count as two different keywords to Google (ie: photobooth and photobooths)? Would I need to have a unique page targeting each word or will one page on my site be sufficient for targeting both? 2. I've noticed that different variations of keywords have the same global monthly search results. This leads me to believe that Google see's all of them as one keyword. ie: "photo booth props" and "props for a photo booth" and "props with photo booth", all have 22,200 search global monthly search resluts. On the other hand "moustache prop" and "prop moustache" have different global monthly search results (480 and 590). Can anyone explain this?

Influencing which page google chooses as the authority for a certain keyword
I have spent the last year optimizing my site for a specific keyword that I believed would do well with respect to conversions. The good news is that my efforts have somewhat succeed. I am now ranking second for a pretty popular keyword, and this effort has definitely increased my traffic. The bad news is that the target page that shows up for the optimized keywords isn't really the authoritative page on my site for the given keywords. As a result, it is my belief that my bounce rate is increasing and my conversions are decreasing. To be more specific, let's say I have optimized my site for the keywords "cool widgets". On my site, I am referencing "cool widgets" in key areas such as title, meta keywords etc. I am referencing the above both on my homepage as well as the cool-widgets page. So, http://www.mysite.com and http://www.mysite.com both contain pretty heavy optimization for "cool widgets". When a user searches "cool widgets", google is displaying mysite.com - however, i'd like it to display mysite.com/cool-widgets like all my competitors. Is there any advice or light the community can shed on how I might go about correcting this issue? I don't think I want to de-optimize my home page, as I am afraid I might lose that position and not have it replaced with the more relevant target page. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Google keyword tool no data for a KW- what to assume in this case?
There are cases when google keyword tool shows just a dash - means no data available and google suggest just use global volume instead. But what if we want to know only local search volume? what should we assume in this case? Does that mean local volume is 0 or it can still be respectable volume & its just Google couldn't find data ?

Does Bing/Yahoo have a keyword tool?
Just wondering if there is a Bing / Yahoo equivalent to this: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal ?? Would be nice to compare the different search patterns between the two search engines, without just assuming that the relative search volume on google for certain keywords is the same bing/yahoo.

Duplicated string in the google keyword tool
Is it possible that the google keyword tool is wrong? It's the first time I realize that for many keywords the google keyword tool reports a big volume of searchs for a keyword as if it were tiped two times. In some cases, as the attached image, it's the same volume, in other cases is even bigger the one with the duplicated string What should I think of that, that, "champagne champagne" has really 4 million searchs? if champagnechampagne.com were an available domain name, should it be a good idea for a microsite?
